We'll be winding up WM week (finally!..rt? :)) with the fashion of the day itself and a little GearFest this week, but for now, it's all about the last vestiges of non-ring fashion before the big day.
Stephanie rocked WM 32 Media Day in this robins' egg blue sheath. The color is utterly gorgeous and couldn't be more perfect for spring! (Aside: this shade of blue is famous as the trademark color of the jewelry store, Tiffany's). The front pockets add a bit of casual modernity to this dress. Her mesh ivory sandals keep th whole look soft and light, and that's enhanced by her pastel make-up tones. Everything about this speaks of newness and a flush of youthful, spring colors. And it works flawlessly! Soft and light seems to have been on everyone's mind, as Charlotte chose this ivory sheath for her look at Media Day. She paired it with her nude Kendall + Kylie Abi pumps. I love the classic silhouette of this dress, and also the on-trend lace detailing, which keeps it ultra-current. Charlotte's simple pumps, with their unique, swooped detail, keep this chic, minimalist outfit interesting and chic. Stephanie's Hall Of Fame dress only recently came to my attention; it's this stunning tulle-fringed confection of a high-necked halter dress from Alexander McQueen. Ogh...I'm in heaven! This high-neck style generally carries a very sleek, modernist connotation, but with the graceful, fluttery embellishments, it feels feminine and light. It's an absolutely beautiful and fabulous piece, typical of Sarah Burton's flawlessly tailored romantic vision for the house of McQueen. It's such a jazz to get to see amazing pieces like this out and about on ladies whose style we adore! #ThankYouSteph

At long last, we finally get some pics coming out the TNA/Impact camp. Title shoots are rarely faves of mine, but at this point, I'll take anything I can get! Pose-wise, Jade hits all the standards. She does them well, although she's not breaking any new ground, and she explores a nice variety of facials as well. I'm impressed b the cohesivenss of her outfit here; the blue and purple combo, blended by the light aqua shade of her hair, is as sufficiently Harajuku-girls-ish as Dollhouse fans might wish, while still showing the maturing sense of style that a fashionista follower could crave. The side lace-ups on her shorts bring a rowdy sex appeal, while her military jacket is a nice step in a distinctive direction. Color is clearly one of her hallmarks, but that jacket represents intriguing possibilities for enhancing her persona and her style imprint. I hope she follows some of those inviting new paths, while keeping this daring but coordinated color aesthetic. There's an untapped, functional creative gold mine here and Jade can use her new title reign to blast it wide open, if she chooses :)...and if she's allowed to.
WrestleMania week continues ... :p
Eden generally shows us her glam side on tv, so it's fun to get to take a look at her casual style. She wore this bohemian-feeling printed top as she visited 6 Flags with Cody during WM week. She paired it with a laidback pencil skirt and enhanced the chill vibes by finishing it off with caramel leather sandals. I also love her use of a baseball cap! It definitely keeps the outfit low key and, with this flirty outfit, it's a great way to appropriate a little guy style...and keep the sun out of your eyes ;) #WinWin :) She also showed off this printed long sleeve sheath at another WM week event. I like the freshness of this bold print, as well as the fact that it's not something we see from Eden regularly. Meanwhile, Lilian was stunning in this black fit-and-flare dress, which combines a plunge front with a high neck for a bold, mod vibe. The straightforward fierceness is hard to miss! She accented it with a perfectly place - an on point!- crystal pendant. This is a fab look from Lil! I'm imagining clean, classic peeptoe pumps finishing this off. We also got to see Lilian in this sweet, stripey pink strapless dress, which is a complete 180 from the previous look. This has a casual chic to it that is feminine and confident and has a wonderful spring-ready vibe! She gets bonus points for the magnificent pink statement ring, which I ttly adore! I'm thinking nude woven heels or pastel pointy-toe pumps here ;) These two shots are such a wonderful illustration of how Lilian handles two very different looks masterfully; despite the genres being quite disparate, she still looks very much herself. It's an enviable style trait! So there I was complaining about not having 'shoots and WWE slammed us with a couple, including this one from just prior to WrestleMania, which, yes sadly, I am just getting to now. Mea culpa. The theme was quintessentially Western, befitting the Dallas setting of WM and the ladies ran with that.
Charlotte put together a creative mix of pieces, starting with a metallic polka dot mini dress. She layered a vest/short-sleeved denim jacket above (which might be a DIY cutoff-arms kinda thing). Her accessories included a cowboy-esque hat, a narrow cognac belt and a cobalt bandana twisted at her wrist. She finished the look with fringed boots. The play of textures keeps this look really spunky and fresh. The polka dot has a mod-vintage feel, which is an unusual combo with the American West influence, but it works, albeit in a surprising way. I like the pop of color from the bandana and the way she used it as a bracelet (as did some other divas). And those fringed boots...omg..those are seeeeeeerioulsy killer! I hope we get to see those again! :) Next up is Lana, who paired this wonderful fringed skirt with a tied-high plaid buttondown. Black OTKs completed her look, while a bold gold collar added a bit of flash. Her high half-pony is a perfect laidback style to complement this outfit. The one tweak I would have made would have been to swap her striped rainbow bralette for a lace one in white, ivory, nude or red to harmonize the color palette. ...And the dash of sexy wouldn't have been out of character either ;) This isn't a genre we tend to see Lana explore and she did a creditable job for something that's a bit new to her comfort zone. I am super impressed with Naomi's work on this shoot! Her set is my top out of the whole group. She just nails EV.VER.Y.thing. First, this lace-up suede romper, omg! It's spot on trend, sexy without being too racy and the warm sand color is magnificent! And completely gorgeous with her dark skin! She pairs it with on point lace-up peeeptoe OTK's in caramel suede; the color contrast works flawlessly. She pops it with touches of silver and the cool gleam is a welcome contrast; it matches her stunning pearl eyeshadow ( that color tho!!). She finishes with a beautiful dream catcher necklace that enhances the theme of the shoot perfectly. She also experiments a bit more with her facials, pushing beyond the cool-girl stare and her trademark smile to a soft, pensive expression and then a proud, confident glare that makes her look like a warrior princess. Finally, the lighting behind her creates a glowing haze that is magical and compelling. The whole set is fantastic from stem to stern and definitely in the running for a Silver Snap this year. Brava. Wrestlemania week always includes a few traditional events, such as the ProAm golf tournament and the WWE2k16 gaming competition. This year's diva rep at the latter was Bayley. While this isn't my favorite outfit I've ever seen her wear, she does, as usual, bring an interesting perspective to her her fashion. She paired a basic logo sweatshirt with leggings, which appear to plain, but upon closer inspection have a fun angled leg seam detail. The seam reminds me of a jodhpur pant ad elevates these leggings above your standard yoga fare. She also finished her look with boots, which, again, helps to elevate this outfit from bland and boring to something that has a dash of fashion about it, and I love that!
Brie broke out the plaid for her course at the ProAm golf tourney. She paired these black watch pants with a white sweater - a beautiful combination with the rich color palette of the plaid - and topped it all with a gray belted wool coat. The oversized collar of the coats gives it a slightly 60's vibe and makes it extra warm :) White sneakers completed her look. Alicia always seems to make her golf outfits really special! While everyone else is sticking with the make-it-practical-and-match-and-you're-good theory, Foxy brings it. She pairs a chic navy polo with white twill pants and tops it with a stunning (faux?) fur jacket. The texture of her jacket is just amazingly gorge, paired with the crisp weave of her polo and pants. She completes the look with a lariat necklace and - one of my fav aspects - a navy peaked cap! She looks like she's just stepped out of a Ralph Lauren campaign. Sssly, girl - has he called yet? Like Brie, Summer does the gray coat/white sneakers thing (are you sensing a common theme? :) ), but she chose an anorak-style over wool and paired hers with black leggings. I'm so glad she added the artfully looped scarf - not only does it add warmth, but it makes a bit more fashionable statement than mere practicality. This is how you look cute without trying too hard, while still leaving yourself free to play a solid golf game :) Finally, we got a glimpse at how the Bellas handled their style for Axxess day 4; it's surprisingly casual! Nikki chose distressed leggings and one of her Fearless tees in a cropped silhouette. She worked in her favorite palette of red and neutrals. Brie did the same, but went with black instead of white, combining her Brie Mode tee with black denim and adding a pop of color via her tied-at-the-waist plaid shirt. I'm envisioning both of these looks finished off with a cure pair of sneakers. Now that you've snagged a pair of these killer booties, let's get to styling them! With a fierce shoe like this (or an equally fierce alternative that's already in your closet), the outfit can be built around the footwear. Charlotte paired a basic black top and skinny jeans with them. The cuffed look is not only on trend, but also allows the full beauty of the bootie to shine. I've metamorphosize the look slightly, going with a beige top to lighten it up a bit, as I'm all about spring right now :). Plus, the combo of beige and blue denim makes for a gorgeous color story - soft, but also sophisticated. This cap sleeve tee has a similar silhouette to Char's, with a stronger shoulder and slim fit. I've paired it with boyfriend jeans for a slouchier feel. Some distressing assists that vibe, but isn't strictly necessary. If you're daring, try a cropped flare here for a super current look. A gold lariat adds a touch of warm sparkle, which brings out the richness of the beige. A mix of stackable band rings brings in an 'it girl' vibe. You could also skip those and go for one of Char's fav accessories - a statement watch - instead. If the weather decides to be breezy or chilly, pop a cropped jacket over the top of this pairing. A light-colored leather jacket will work (think caramel, cream-in-coffee, ash gray or dusty green), as will a twill band jacket, or ivory denim. A soft palette matched with classic denim makes a perfect canvas for fabulous booties and we admit: we #LoveUsSomeBootie! Don't you? ;) Happy styling!
It's rapidly turning into shoefinder.com around here :)...but, if you're into that sort of thing ;), you can grab yourself a pair of Charlotte's fun and fierce Maddye booties by Steve Madden, a fab pair of mesh booties with a distinctive drizzled lacing. These suede beauties have a pretty substantial heel (4.75"), but due to the bootie style, should still be quite workable to walk in. Char styled them with rolled skinny denim and a simple black tank. They'd also be the perfect finish to a casual LBD or a springy pastel fit-and-flare skirt with a crop top. You can snag yourself a pair of these at zappos.com in sand or black. An additional - and gorgeous! - plum burgundy shade is available at stevemadden.com.
