As we move into mid-December, we get a great urban chic look form Charlotte and a LOT of party inspiration from the Bellas!
Charlotte totally got my attention with this black-on-black look! I love the texture of her fitted top, especially matched with the smooth sheen of her leather leggings and the velvety look of her suede OTK's. Not only does this outfit look aaaaaahmazing on her body, it's s flawless example of how mixing textures can bring drama and interest to an outfit that's otherwise quite minimalistic. Loving this look! The Bellas have always shone in the area of party and event dressing and, this month, they've given us a line-up to be alive for! Ivory is incredibly beautiful choice for the holidays and the Twins showcase different aspects of it here at the Diamonds Unleashed event. Brie's maxi dress gets an arts-and-crafts feel from bold stitching and leather applique. It's a subtle boho vibe with a big couture feel. the uniqueness of this dress makes it event-appropriate! Ivory with gold has always been a fav combination of mine and this high-neck mixed stripe fit and flare dress of Nikki's might just be my #1 of this set because of it. This magnificent piece is a perfect blend of understated sparkle and bold, feminine style. It's perfect for special events, but also for holiday dances and parties as well because of the metallic. Simply breathtaking! Let's get to some December fashion, shall we? :) But before we do that, let's catch a November look that I , well, overlooked :) during my last FashionHap...oopsie.
This outfit from Eden (more info about it - and excellent thought-provoking posts- on her blog BeingBrandiRunnels.com. Scroll down to her Black Friday post for this look) is completely fab. It has that immediate attention-grabbing (and holiday-approved!) shot of red, done in a unique squared-neck top. She pairs it with leather leggings and finishes off with my favorite part: leopard-print heels. And that's odd for me because I'm not usually a fan of leopard (Note: Brandi has a whole post about how leopard gets a bad rap), but when it's done tastefully and not in excess, as Eden's done here, it can be incredibly chic! The warmth of the print complements the red flawlessly. This is very simply a stellar, steal-worthy casual look that would translate wonderfully well as a holiday party outfit. Quick PS: Eden finally has her own show on WWE Network: Eden's Style. How cool is that?! Again, see her blog for more info. While we're on the subject of red and black, check out this fabulous schoolgirl-inspired outfit from Brooke. She's paired a houndstooth crop top with a black pencil skirt. There's something about houndstooth that's irrevocably British prep and Brooke plays on that look with her glasses and tailored skirt. Then she adds a bright spark with these killer strappy heels...tres fierce! And, of course, fierceness takes us to Alicia aka Foxy Fierce and this all-black ensemble. This leather skirt is a super-cute crush of tough leather and feminine leaf-like layered pieces which create a lot of volume for a leather skirt. Usually leather is smooth and pristine, but this is flirty and fierce! She accentuates the couture feel of this look with her craveworthy chain-and-ribbon necklace (see below), which nods at Chanel's style. Her black scoopneck halter top adds a dash of sexy to this fun and fancy outfit. From here on out, it's party, party, party, right? And the only thing you reeeaally have to worry about is...what to wear? Hmmmm. How about we get ya some inspiration...from the Bellas! Their style is second to none and they def have it down when it comes to dressing for special occasions :) Here's a look at some of their looks and some thoughts on how to style them. Enjoy!
We've been getting so many themed shoots this year that I am loving the fact that Lana has chosen to provide us with a straight-up style shoot. And what a shoot it is! It's like fashion overdrive! Not one, two, three, even four, but FIVE different looks and all of them rock! (Some more literally than others :) ). Before I get to raving, I do have one small thing on my wishlist...just one tiny, bitsy, infinitesimal thing. S.H.O.E.S. With all this great fashion, we only get to see one pair of shoes?! One! Oh, the horror, the tribulation, the torture. Lana, how could you? And near Christmas *histrionic sniffle* *Scarlet-O-Hara-worthy wipe of eyes with hankie* *breathes* Ok, Brie, focus. Get centered. Look at the positive. Let's talk about what we have. 'Cuz what we have is awesome. These mirrored metallic strappy sandals by are by Aldo, a brand Lana seems to enjoy. They are unfortunately sold out, but you can find a decent approximation here, a semi-similar here and a silver similar here. I love the bold width of these straps, which is softened by the delicacy of the wrap, making them both strong and feminine at the same time! It's an unusual design and so pretty! When paired with this stunning cobalt bandage dress (which incidentally has a very Herve Leger look to it), they are quite simply amazeballs. The halter style of this dress and bodycon silhouette are beautiful and classic, but it's the color that takes this dress out of this world. This saturated shade is KILLER..whether you're a blonde beauty like Lana or a bewitching brunette...or any shade in between.
It's that most wonderful time of year again: time for our own special party called the Silver Snap Awards :) We've picked out the Divas and Knockout who have thrilled and chilled us with their fabulous photos throughout the year. Now, it's your turn to pick The ONE...the most flawless, most amazing, most life-changing set of snaps...and give the Diva and Knockout who created it the present of receiving the Silver Snap Award as the best photoshoot of 2015. Are you ready? Without further ado, we're super-excited to present to you the 2015 Silver Snap nominees...
As we gear up for the unveiling of our 2015 Silver Snap Nominees, whet your appetite with these two gorgeous sets! Our two Honorable Mentions this year both go to Divas.
First up is Sasha for her Million Dollar Babies set. This is one of the first times Sasha has really gotten to do a full-scale shoot and it is devastatingly promising! The high points of this set very nearly catapulted it into Noms-category, quite a feat for a Diva who is in her first year on the main roster. She has some drop-dead amazing shots, which combine a fantastic fashion sense with unique and killer poses, rocked oh so hard. These are mag-cover worthy. Kudos, Sasha! The second HM is for Lana's Ice Queen, her swan song to her frozen-Russian days. The beautiful skirt and Art Deco dress, the lashings of glamour (fur AND a be-crystalled bralette? Slay me.), the brilliant pop of her scarlet lip and her dramatic poses made this an unforgettable set of snaps. Her magnificent up-do was the coup de grace. Fabulous, Lana! |
