A bunch of fab fashion concluded November. First, Eden slayed in this gorgeous lace dress with sheer sleeves. She went for the always chic black-on-black look, completing this outfit with ebony platform pumps. This is such a classic look and appropriate for so many occasions! Next, Summer wore this 70's-inspired high-neck haltter sweater dress. We often her in color, but I love the look of the gray mélange; it's cool and polished. Sadly, we don't get to see her pick of footwear. I'd put a small bet on her favorite pointy-toe pumps. If you wanted to follow-up on the 70's vibe, though, knee high boots in caramel leather would be a stellar choice! Alicia let her boho side loose with this fun winter white and navy printed dress. I love the complexity of the pattern and the oversize flowers; it has a from-India feel to it that is perfectly in keeping with the 60's-bohemian look. She builds on that by topping it with a fabulous fur coat. I'd probably finish this off with suede OTK's or ankle booties. Cameron gets inspired by an 80's-90's intersection (we're hitting a LOT of decades this go 'round lol), pairing a graphic tank with leather-inset skinny pants and canvas sneakers. The pop of red really makes this outfit work. The contrasting magenta shade of her hair adds another fantastic color cataclysm that's super cool against her predominantly black look. We don't get a full, clear shot of Madison's ensemble, but it looks like a black pantsuit with a v-neckline. I'm so excited to think she went this route! Pantsuits are crazy hot rn and a sophisticated alternative to a dress for parties, dinners and other events. Her choice of a delicate lariat for baubletry is superb! I'd complete this look with pointy toe pumps (or pointy-toe flats, if you're that kind of girl :)) PS @Madison, if this happens to be a zip sweatshirt and black jeans that I just can't see clearly, please don't tell me so. Just let me dream :) XO!

We're getting into the holiday spirit this FashionHap by starting off with a pair of burgundy looks.
Eden kicks it off with an on-trend sweater dress in a lovely, warm wine shade. This is a color I adore all winter: it's festive, flattering and looks amazing with any neutral, as well as with bright blues and true reds. Sweater dresses were 70's staples, hence they're rediscovered popularity. I give Eden props for the tights - it's a classic look we don't see much from the Divas and KOs and it makes a shorter dress much more comfortable on cooler days! We don't get a look at her shoes here, but I'm envisioning pointy-toe pumps...in suede :) This is a standout look from Charlotte: the fit-and-flare (perhaps we should now call it the fit-and-Flair silhouette? ;) ) is FLAWLESS for her and my past-top-of-the-charts fave. (Wishlist: that she'd do a version of her gear like this!!) The studs on her( super-hot-rn! leather top are tasteful and add some spice to the piece, while her deep red jeans bring a pretty flash of color. The basic theme of the ensemble is dark, but much more fun! Suede OTK boots finish her look off, making it powerful and , while the play of texture between suede and leather adds an intriguing contrast. Absolutely fabulous styling here! Jojo caught our eyes in this wonderful gray A-line dress. Her style can sometimes get too cutesy for her youthful look. This piece is simpler, a bit more mature and consequently chic, without looking at all too old for her. It's a fantastic choice! She styled simply with a bead bracelet and understated locket. Her rose-burgundy lip shade adds a soft hint of color and brings precisely the required pop. I would love a playful, fun shoe here, something Sophia Webster or Charlotte Olympia, that lets Jojo's personality shine. After that terrible sweatshirt ordeal, I HAVE to get back to some real fashion. Must. This Inspiration Board was inspired by a combo of things, including a post about using jewel tones for holiday style via the fabulous Wendy's Lookbook (more on that soon on my Favorite Things page) and revisiting Barbie's jewel tone dress for the Silver Snaps post. Luxurious, deep jewel tones make an exquisite choice for the holidays and a huge twist on the traditional reds and neutrals. The richness of the colors provides depth and formality and blending several curated colors is invariably chic. Start with a simple dress in a deep hue: royal purple, navy, pine or emerald green. Any fabric with a slight sheen will elevate this look even more. Any silhouette, from body-con to fit-and-flare will work. Then add accessories in dark hues: teal, mustard, burgundy. Playing with textures (suede, velvet, faux fur) is super sophisticated, so definitely dare to do that! Pay attention to the neckline when accessorizing; this DSquared dress's wide, squared-out shape lends itself to going bare, but a classic v or crewneck could leave the options of a lariat or choker open. The coup de grace is the coat. A short jacket like this, that stops at the waist, is one warm option that makes a statement, but this look would work equally well with a longer (equal to the length of the dress) coat in a minimalistic silhouette, classic fabric (looking at you, wool) and neutral color: ivory, gray, black, beige.
Oh yes, the Big Dub has done it again: the Questionable Christmas Sweatshirt Photoshoot. Why have I put all the black sweatshirts together, you ask? It's symbolic ...of the fashion blogger's hell I just died and visited. Thank you so so much, WWE, for inflicting this torture on me another year. Ok, I get it. There are people out there who LOVE this kind of thing. Of all those people, none of them are me. Straight up: stuff like this makes my eyes bleed. 'k? I said it. Merry Freaking Christmas. I suppose, if I'm searching (like archaeological dig kind of searching) for a silver lining, these are helped - marginally- by the fact that they're really Superstar and Diva merch as opposed to being just really not so aesthetically awesome sweaters. As always, I give the Divas HUUUUUUUGE props for a)actually wearing these and b) allowing themselves to be photographed wearing these. ..All grimacing and joking aside, I know this shoot is all in good fun. I shall endeavor to enter into said spirit of fun. *knocks on door of Spirit of Fun and is immediately carded*
Diva-Fierce.com was born in Sept 2011. That December, we began a special, site-exclusive tradition of collaboratively picking the best Diva and best Knockout shoot of the year. We' d choose the nom's; you'd vote for the one you loved best. Sadly, the noms for 2011 (and 2014, although the winners are here) are lost in the mists of time and hard drive-switches, although I do remember Tara winning the KO's crown for 2011 with her scalding hot motorcycle shoot (talk about unforgettable :) and I'm pretty sure Kelly/Barbie took it for the Divas with her Holly Golightly-esque purple dress shoot). However, since I have a semi-compulsion to save a lot of stuff (yeah I need to work on that), you can take a trip down memory lane courtesy of my OCD and relive all the great moments of yesteryear..the glitter, the leather, the hot poses. So, ditch the stilettos and put on your traipsing shoes ;)
If you'r e not officially ready to say goodbye to Brooke rn..or ever, really,... then prepare yourself for some satiation. Since leaving TNA, Brooke has been adding teaser shots to her Instagram, continuing a lovely habit she started while still with Impact. Most intriguing are these completely fabulous shots by Ken Keifer, who specializes in underwater photography. All of Brooke's outfits contain long, flowing pieces that look utterly gorgeous floating in the water. Brooke herself is graceful and lithe, creating gentle, mermaid-like poses that are nothing short of amazing. The combination of fabric and flesh beneath the rippling surface and bent light of the water is visually compelling, startlingly different and quite simply beautiful. You definitely NEED to head to Brooke's IG and check these out. And while you're there...
I've been nattering on about getting Summer to wear something different, like a romper, so I thought: why not actually style a look instead of just blah-blah-blahing. Consequently, here ya go :). Summer's been on a lace kick recently, so I took inspiration from that and went with a gorgeous red lace romper from Alexis. You could easily pair this with fierce ankle booties, but I went with OTK's because it's fall/winter and because they're fun to wear. Ssly - don't you feel like a ferocious vixen in them? Baubletry includes statement earring with a bit of trendy fringe and a bold, simple bracelet. I'm imagining Summer wearing this to the ring, although I wouldn't say "no" to a photoshoot in it either! You could wear it to a holiday party, for a variation on the traditional dress. I would add a black, boxy faux fur jacket to ward off the cold. It would work equally well for date night.
Great Sagi minds apparently think alike because Taylor Swift literally just wore...wait for it...a lace romper by Alexis. Her was in white and you can find out all the what-where-how-to-get-its on tayswiftstyle.com, a fav website of mine! (Yes, today is Shameless Plug Day.) |
