I’ve never kept my love for shoes anything close to a secret. Whenever the Superstars (*whispers Diiiiivvvaaaaassss*) wear some incredible pairs, I go wild – especially if they’re designer because, face it, a little vicarious expensive-stiletto enjoyment never hurt anyone. We tend to see a lot of Louboutins from our fellow Superstar shoe-lovers. We see a good bit of Giuseppe Zanotti, too. And Louis Vuitton. And Stuart Weitzman. And I rave over all of them because…shoes! Then again, there are tonssss of amazing designers outside of the above Quad Squad that I totally wouldn’t mind seeing the ladies get their heels in. For instance? Oh, I was so hoping you’d ask! Come share my little fashion fantasy :)

A little more Brandi love kicks off this FashionHap, starting with this incredible velvet off-the-shoulder dress. The color is similar to the lace coord set I was raving over last time, with similar stunning-ness (did Brie just make up a word again? Most likely.) This silhouette is incredibly elegant and, despite being totally ‘right now’, it also has a timeless quality – in ten years, it will be just as appropriate. Brandi completed the look with nude pumps for a more formal interpretation, but you could just as easily style this piece with black booties and a leather jacket draped over your shoulders for a casual look. Her next outfit showcases a lovely mix of elements. It starts with an apparently simple navy dress – until you get down to the cool architectural detail of the asymmetric hemline. Pointy-toe ankle booties in black suede add a shot of fierceness. Top this with a black trench and you have power dressing at its finest. Instead, Brandi threw a curve ball and added a classic tote - in neon candy pink! This effervescent, joyous color lightens the mood of the look dramatically. Instead of power and seriousness, it becomes about sophistication and FASHION. I love how this one choice makes such a tremendous impact on the statement the look makes! From there, she gives us a chic, casual look that channels a bit fo the 70’s, spun up with a bit of now. She pairs a floral bell-sleeved crop top with a denim mini skirt and completes the look with beige suede OTK’s. While her top feels feminine and nostalgic, the other two pieces modernize the look and give it and edge. To keep the 70’s vibe, this could be styled with a midi A-line denim piece.
Brooke unleashed her rock-star side with this night-out ensemble. A graphic tee with an eye-catching cut-out underlies a classic denim jacket and pocket-revealing cut-off jean shorts. And there’s no slowing down – she kept the fierce raging by finishing the look with suede OTKs. Everything about this combination is grunge-punk attitude! Her statement earrings (and I love that she did her hair in a ponytail so we really get to see them!) and cuff bracelets add a touch of shine and glam. It’s so much fun seeing Brooke go hard on a look like this -she does it so well! Carmella instagrammed this super cool pairing of a star printed romper from Love Culture with mid-calf booties. Mid-calf can be a tricky height to utilize, but they work really well here because there’s plenty of space between the top of the bot and the hem of the romper. I love the way they bring attitude and a street vibe to the fashion vibes of this star print. I can be in or out on these kinds of patterns, but this is a particularly pretty rendition! The wide choker is the perfect complement to complete the look. I can’t believe 2017 is almost over! But, here we are and it’s time to reminisce and re-savor (prob not a word, but whatevs) the best, coolest, most fabulous looks that represented the major directions fashion took this year. Get comfy, style lovers! :)
I’m so excited to finally post this for all of you! It’s been in process since literally August. I plead lack of time and scope of post: this season’s “blast” is more like a ka-boom - fashion is going in so many directions right now! There are a multitude of subtexts underlying a few dominant themes.
The ladies of WWE gave us a huuuuge range of fashion as they attended ComicCon this summer. Noelle kept things simple and straightforward by pairing a deep blush cropped halter top with a black pencil skirt. It’s nicely polished and put together for this kind of event and consequently gets a thumbs up from me. We don’t get to see her shoes, but blush sandals would seem to be the most intuitive choice. I can also see adding a touch of hardware with a chain-handled bag for a little extra va-voom. Renee styled leather overalls in a unique way, leaving one side un-buckled for a drapey, casual twist on the standard approach. She layered a bright graphic tee below. Since her styling made her overalls more casual, I think I would have preferred the contrast of a fancier top – a bright silk button-down, multi-color striped tee or band-collared blouse -, but this shade of intense aqua looks marvelous on Renee. I also give her massive props for the creative silhouette. She completed the look with peep-toe ankle boots for just the right dose of fierce. I was shocked to see Becky choose such a formal piece as this metallic jumpsuit; it’s a far cry from the casual attire she often reaches for. It’s not inappropriate, however, and I’m really excited to see her in something so daring. The one-shoulder detail gives it a nice touch of uniqueness and the space-age vibe is quite intriguing. The only thing on my wishlist is that she had finished the look with the grounded fierceness of black: an ankle strap pump, pointy ankle boots, strappy sandals. Charlotte was gorgeous in this cobalt blue mini dress with its fluttery front. I love how perfect this piece is for her body shape; she’s really solidified her game on that front over the last year or so. This type of dress, with its boxier silhouette, really looks best when it’s quite short. The piece accomplishes that while concurrently maintining its professionalism via the high-low hem. Charlotte’s Maddye boots ( x Steve Madden) complete this look in soft, summery style.
I'm so used to seeing Eva do casually urban looks that this feminine ensemble really caught my attention! She wore an off-the shoulder maxi dress which showcased a lovely blush floral print on a black background that's perfectly in keeping with the dark florals trend. In many cases, we' d see her toughen up this piece with sandals booties, but instead she elected to go with pretty ankle strap sandals. Pigtail braids, over-size aviators and a tiny pendant necklace round out this sweet look. I love seeing this other side of Eva's style! She was back to form with her next outfit, a toed graphic tee and ripped light wash jeans. The pale denim helps lighten this look up for summer, which I heartily approve. I'm also a fan of her high pony - it's polished but not too fancy. Her dark nails keep the grunge theme going, but she elevates the look by completing it with super-slim strappy sandals, something I always love. Jeans with great heels is such a fab pairing! :)
This colorful look from Alicia is incredibly fun! I can't help but be a massive fan of the way she plays with fashion! Here, she pairs a multi-hued graphic tee with a printed head scarf. We don't get to see her choice of bottoms, but the ripped blue denim she wore here would definitely be workable! What is most striking to me is the way she chooses complex elements but blends them expertly: the green and blue hues of her scarf are echoed in her tee, as is the gray-blue of her stone pendant - which adds a wonderful earthy vibe that fits perfectly with the exotic-bohemian theme. Her bright magenta lip shade ties everything together. It takes a very sure hand to balance all these colors into a look that's accessible and cohesive and Alicia nails it! She next slays a very different ensemble, a black monochrome combination of a sheer body-suit with a solid 'v' detail paired with a feather-accented mini skirt. Her visible brassiere works well here, as it has the effect of a further solid detail on the bodysuit, while adding a bit of extra dimension. She adds a madly chic dose of flash tot the look with a hardware-heavy belt that I'm crazy about! OTK boots in the au courant skin-tight silhouette finish off this fierce and sophisticated ensemble. Alicia's mini Instagram photoshoots let us get a broader view of her style than what we are limited to on WWE programming and for that, I am profoundly grateful! She is always experimenting, always pushing the envelope, always having fun with fashion and I adore her for it! It always thrills me to see what she's dreaming up :). She has a flair for casual style, as we have seen with some of her WWE photoshoots, and she's happy to showcase that for us as well. This look, an easy, slouchy combination of a v-neck tee and destroyed denim, is quite simple, but it still has that je ne se quoi, due to the just-right selection of elements. We don't get to see her shoe choice, which got my fashion brain pondering: how would Foxy complete this look? I can't help but feel that she would interject a shot of her trademark personality. So, when doing denim+tee a la Foxy, how might we style it? For starters, the basic elements: your fave slouchy tee and blue denim. Avoid form-fitting tees here. For that Foxy-esque touch, you need laidback attitude, so go with something broken in, oversized or boyfriend style. The v-neck is encouraged but not required. Stick with a neutral color - that will be important for what happens with accessories ;). There's a summery softness to Foxy's combo of blue denim with her gray top that I love. It's a muted background just made to set off some whimsicality. If you gravitate toward something a bit sharper, go with black denim. Be sure to have a black or gray casual jacket on hand for air conditioning or chilly nights, instead of the classic blue denim piece used above. Go for a slim silhouette, or roll looser fits to 2 inches above your ankle. Ok: tee, jeans, jacket = done. Now, for the fun part! A few short moments of stylish contemplation had me certain that Foxy would finish this look with a colorful shoe. For summer, she might have gone with the striped wedges she wore for her Diva Day Off 'shoot. Or, be-tasselled multi-colored sandals may have been the Lady Fierce's choice. Since we're in the "season" of transitional dressing, sandals are still do-able. Alternatively, consider a pump of many colors (and maybe some sequins! :) ...ok, who said that?) or, give one of fall's hottest trends a try and go for embroidered booties - how yummy are those?! Check your shoe closet for anything off the beaten path, anything you felt was a tad too wild to deal with on a daily basis: those gorgeous but insane embellished Western boots you bought because you loved them but have no clue how to wear (clue procured! :)) (note: if they're above high-ankle height, tuck your jeans into them instead of rolling), those unrealisitically-colored animal-print pumps that you thought were sooooooo cool when you first bought them years ago, madly floral sandals, rainbow-hued sneakers, iridescent peeptoe pumps you bought for your prom and never wore again...anything that's uncommon, extraordinary, attention-grabbing - however you do that, that's what you're looking for here. And the key is that because you're setting it against such a simple, casual, edited background, the crazy isn't crazy...it's just spicy. Or, crazy like a super-stylish Lady Fox ;)
