Barbie kicked off November in this simple, classic pairing of a long-sleeved, heathered tee and denim shorts. The look has a completely all-American girl vibe to it…until you get to the footwear :). Barbie’s choice of burgundy velvet OTK boots not only adds a massive shot of fierce, it also give the fall flavor to an otherwise almost summer-y outfit. A burgundy lip shade carries the color upward in a pleasing way.
Alexa got a Maryse Makeover during Total Divas which gave me mixed feels. I loved the youthful vibe of the embroidered collar on the dress Maryse picked but, even with that, the piece has a maturity and sophistication which feel a little out of place on Blissy just yet. Ditto the gorgeous lace coat. The studded bag I think she could probably work with though ;). Even though the look isn’t ultimately one I can see Alexa keeping right now, I really enjoyed seeing her step out of her comfort zone. Sometimes the best way to figure out who you are (in fashion and otherwise) is to figure out who you’re not. Or, who you’re not right now – sometimes you find something you can come back to another point and realize that you’ve grown into it. The experience always has a lesson, which is why taking chances and trying things is important. It keeps you from getting stuck in a box and/or getting bored. Brie gave us a sample of her trademark boho style on the show, as well. She paired a flowy peasant blouse in antique rose with medium wash blue jeans. This is a rendition of the fancy-meets-chill blouse and denim look that fashion has been loving the last few seasons. It often gets served with distressed denim so I really love seeing Brie’s hole-less bottoms! The look works flawlessly, with her braided hairband cementing the bohemian vibe and acting as the exclamation point of the styling.

On RAW'S 25th Anniversary, we fans had the fortunate experience of seeing some of our favourite women from the past, some we haven't seen for years, grace our screens once again.....and now, we get to review their fashion :), which is a massive thrill!
Lilian Garcia: The sultry songstress’ look was trademark Lilian, pairing a glittering printed dress with suede OTK boots. This is a combo Lil has plenty of experience with and it shows, as she smartly plays on texture by combining suede with shine. Her long and loose hairstyle adds her customary sense of ease and un-fussiness (did I just make up a word again?) to what could be a fairly fancy look, making it feel accessible, but also formal enough to be respectful to the occasion. Plus, it makes it feel like a party! Shine will do that ;) Nikki & Brie Bella: It's been so long since we've seen both Bella Twins on screen together in a WWE setting, so RAW 25 was definitely a special moment for the Bella Army. Though we all know Nikki can 100% slay in a designer dress and heels, she brought her ring gear out for this night. Rocking her signature snapback, red jersey top and shorts, knee high socks, and sneakers.. this is THE Nikki Bella look we all know and love. Brie Bella walked onto the ramp in style, wearing black high waisted leggings, ankle boots, and a tied up Brie Mode t-shirt. Her accessory of choice? A red flannel tied around her waist... which of course, is classic Brie Bella. Barbie/Kelly Kelly: As per her usual gift for dressing just right for the occasion, Barbie (aka Kelly Kelly) looked every inch the former diva – in fact, she looked like she could step right back into Diva-hood tomorrow without missing a beat. She paired a zippered sequin crop top with cut-off blue denim shorts. She topped the look with a sleek and thoroughly fierce leather motorcycle jacket, tempering the glam with a dose of punk attitude that’s echoed by the wide belt at her waist. She earn props from me for not going over the top with a sequin or crystal belt; this unembellished one makes just the right statement. Barbie finished the look with my favorite piece in the ensemble: sequin pointy ankle booties. I’m heaven! Right there is where she goes from typically fab to street style Queen. They make this outfit! Yes, I am reviewing October fashion. I know, I know.
It was only a matter of time until Barbie explored the latex trend! She dabbled in the fabric with this LBD from House of CB for an October event. The simplicity of this dress is a perfect choice – we don’t see the kind of envelope-pushing cuts Barbie often reaches for. Here, the sensuality all comes from the fabric and, with a daring material like this, it’s exactly the right way to go. Black ankle strap heels complete the look, along with an eye-catching make-up choice: a super-pale nude lip that nearly matches Barbie’s skin tone. While it makes me stop and take notice, I think I would have preferred something a touch warmer – a dusty cinnabar or quartz. Next up is a flowing romper from Planet Blue. The color pairing of camel and black and the looser cut of this piece combine to give it a much more chic and sophisticated feel than your standard version. Barbie adds a shot of fierce with her suede OTK boots and oversized sunnies and look comes together with the kind of unstudied, tantalizing style that is her trademark. From there, she swung into the relaxed modernity of a denim on denim pairing, utilizing J Brand denim. A House of CB bodysuit in olive provided the underlayer, while suede peeptoe OTKs from Pretty Little Thing gave the look some edge. I like the mix of soft neutrals in this outfit. I’d love an embellished bag here to tie everything together! While it’s not really an “outfit” per se, I couldn’t resist sharing this snap from Barbie which featured this show-stopping statement necklace from For The Stars Fashion House, a custom creator of one-of-a-kind designs. With layers of gold chains and crystals, this piece is ahhhhMAYzing! Barbie got the full effect out of it by pairing it with nude bikini bottoms – doesn’t she look like a divine siren, rising up out of the sea?! -, but I’d be interested to see it tried atop a minimalist LBD. She got her grunge on with this combo of a cropped boxy sweatshirt and white denim. I’m not generally a fan of shorts cut to reveal the pockets, as it tends to look messy, but here, it fits the bored-punk theme so well that I’m breaking my rule :). Barbie completed the look with a black and white plaid shirt knotted at her waist on true 90’s style. I love the way it pulls the whole look together! The instant I saw this look from Barbie, I knew I had to make it an Inspiration Board. It typifies everything that my style heart flutter! In addition to the gorgeous pale-blue-and-blush palette, I love the way her denim shirt dresses down the fanciness of the sequin pencil skirt and makes it day-wear appropriate. Shine for day is a thing again and the key to doing it is to find a way to offset the formality. Start with your handiest/current fave/stuck in your head piece of shine: a sequin pencil skirt, like Barbie’s, or a shimmering midi version, or a metallic pleated piece (like the one you didn’t get to wear often enough during the holidays ;)). One of the reasons I adore looks like this is that they let me get more mileage out of insanely fun pieces that I don’t want to relegate to just night-time or fancy affairs! To go 100% Barbie, add a denim shirt on top (you can totally do this with chambray or an oxford cloth version as well!). Leave the top button or two undone (no need to give quite the shoulder show that Barbie is ;)) and add a bar or name necklace, or other piece with special meaning. Finish with blush or nude pumps. A second option for dressing down the shine is to top it with a chunky sweater. Don’t style it too primly – choose an oversize piece you can do a half-tuck or frontal-only tuck with, just enough to create a visual waist. Alternatively, do it in blouson fashion for subtle polish. Or, go with a cropped piece for a retro-chic 80’s vibe. Complete the look with fierce pointy ankle booties and a lighthearted or whimsical piece of jewelry. If you need some cool-girl-meets-athleisure vibes in your life, top your sparkly skirt with a sweatshirt: hoodie, non-hoodie, it’s all good! Like the oversized-sweater topper, this is another place where slouchy or frontal-only tucks are your friends. The crucial part of pulling this look off is your shoes: avoid formality and even fierceness. You’re looking for laidback, possibly with a hint of attitude. Keep the heel height low (some kind of heel, even just a small one, tends to work best with midi lengths, so bear that in mind if you’re using a skirt of that hem height), and lean toward chunkier heel silhouettes or materials that indicate less formality, like wood heels instead of leather-covered. A simple suede block heel bootie works perfectly. This is also the right spot to think about low combat boots or, if your weather allows, sneakers – flat ones for barely-below-knee-length and above; try a wedge version with midi’s. Forego jewels...but do feel free to add a baseball or newsboy cap! I hope this inspires you to try some shine by day! Happy styling!
Question of the moment: can Brie review three months of fashion before the end of the year? Welp…I have zero clues. But I’m gonna try :).
Barbie’s late September gem of a look is a New Year’s outfit waiting to happen. I was wild over this the instant I saw it: denim button down, sequin pencil skirt – what’s not to love? Barbie completed the look with leg-lengthening nude pumps and kept her make-up soft as well, letting the shine from her skirt be the main focus. I love how this outfit is both relaxed and party-worthy at the same time! PS I would also happily do this look with a flannel buttondown ;) Brandi showed off this snap on her Instagram, which seems to be from a photoshoot with Cody and herself. That dress tho! Lace, appliqué, sheer – it’s a total confection of gorgeousness wrapped up in an LBD. Brandi tones it down by keeping her hair long and loose and accenting it simply, with nude pumps, making the overall ensemble come off incredibly chic. I love this girl’s style! Have I mentioned that? (Only perpetually, yes?). Lana updated her previous tv look (this vest+pencil skirt combo which reminded me of her early Ravishing Russian style) with red lapels. She echoed the shade in her lips and lovely ankle strap heels. I love her in red – it’s a stunning color for her, so I like this iteration very much. I do hope she’s going to do more than change lapel colors for this era, though, ‘cuz that could get old in a hurry. Lana has a wonderful sense of style, so I’m placing my bets on seeing her change up a bit more soon. Charlotte often reaches for black monochrome looks for her tv appearances, and she does it again here, pairing a black cropped top with leather leggings and suede knee boots. The silhouette created by this pairing is a little challenging for her body type, which is quite straight. While the leggings help to define her waist, the top kind of cancels that out and makes her look more blocky. A looser and/or blousonne-style top would work better for these super-skinny bottoms. Alternatively, shortening the height of the crop just slightly, so it hit at the narrowest part of her body could work too. We saw Alexa go for a similar look, using nearly all black, with leather leggings on the bottom. Blissy paired them with a simple, longer-length tank and topped the ensemble with a printed, gray hooded vest. I love the look of the shorter vest layered over the longer tank, as well as the sporty vibe it brings to the look. I’m super glad she added the hardware-embellished ankle booties! They add that totally needed dose of jazz to the look. The Inspiration Boards have become one of the most popular features here on diva-fierce.com – which thrills me because I love creating them! As the year winds down, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at the looks that all of you loved best this year, as determined by the number of views. What was capturing your oh so fashionable gaze in 2017?
1. Maryse – Lacy Layers …ok, technically, this post is from 2016. I was still developing the concept then and didn’t do a year-end Top list, but I wanted to recognize it here, as it was one of the most viewed posts for mooooonths after it went up and gets a significant number of hits even now, over a year later. 2. Barbie – Candy & Flowers…I loved the sweet colors and unexpected pop of florals in this accessible and chic look from Barbie. So did you :) It was the runaway favorite of the year, getting nearly double the number of views of any other look. 3.Mckenzie – Denim 70’s…The 70’s has been a massive influence on fashion over the past few years and this re-imagining of Mckenzie’s Americana look embraced it wholeheartedly, with earthy colors, midi lengths and an off-the-shoulder silhouette. It got plenty of love from you, earning the next most popular spot. 4. Becky – Metal & Lace-kicker…nipping at the heels of the Denim 70’s look was one from a very different genre: a play on Becky’s femme-meets-tough-chick ring gear that melded lace pieces with hardware accents. It seems the Fiercenti who frequent diva-fierce love a whole range of styles! And that is so awesome because…me too! 5. We had three looks in nearly a dead heat for the fifth spot: Natalya - a la Natalya, a glamour-tinged riff on Nattie’s incredible gear, Naomi – When Tulle Met Stripes, a translation of Nay-nay’s Valentine’s Day ‘shoot look that paired chic tulle with the breezy Parisian vibe of stripes and Lana – Gypsy Rocker, a casual luxe look that chanelled a bit of Stevie Nicks by way of Lana’s Instagram snap Your fashion sense rocked in 2017, Fiercenti! Here’s to an equally stylish 2018 :) Becky kicked off August with this super-chill look, which topped a simple tee and jeans with a floral bomber jacket. I’m so in love with her choice to go with a floral piece here! Not only is it spot on trend, but it elevates the look to something more interesting than a more laidback, classic, monotone bomber would have. The pretty, dynamic print adds vibrancy to the style statement. As described in the Inspiration Board with this look, a pair of black booties is all that’s needed to complete this outfit. Becks was equally casual and cool in her look for visiting the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where she paired a lace-bodice tee with sporty detailing and flared blue denim. The tee is a fab choice – a unique, statement piece that still laidback. The spot on-trend flared jeans pick up the blue piping in her top, pulling the look together. This outfit is made to finished with sneakers: red, white, bright blue or a metallic.
