Kim: The former WWE Diva who became known for her All Red Everything look has changed her signature shade since her wrestling days, now rocking what she calls Purple Reign. Natalie Eva Marie, and her husband Jonathan Coyle, went to the 2019 ESPYS in coordinating outfits that showed off her evolving style. This long sleeved, floor length, backless gown is form fitting, with a deep v neck and side cut-outs. The fabric is an absolutely stunning sparkly purple hue that is sure to catch everyone's attention - if the actual design of the dress didn't do that already! Jonathan matched his wife's look with a clean, sharp suit and purple dress shirt. With Eva's outfit being so bold, the more simple style of her necklace and earrings works so well because it doesn't distract the overall look. I also love how her hair is slicked back and all pilled up . I tend to prefer up dos with backless dresses, and this one is definitely an UP do - I don't think I've seen a braided top bun so stacked!

Kim: Former WWE Superstar Eva Marie brought back a little bit of her "All Red Everything" past in this jaw dropping, head turning, gorgeous ensemble while attending The Art of Elysium. Her former-signature shade is bright, blinding, and full on display here. I love how the backless dress itself is big and bold, yet still has a soft and gentle flow with the choice of material. The shiny, reflective fabric layers and falls perfectly together. A halter neckline is one of my favorites, and this dress gets bonus points with the cut-out in the center, which is a perfect way to add some drama. Thank goodness for double sided tape, right ladies? What would we do without it? For her makeup, Eva went with one of my favourite looks, a bold lip and subtle eye. Her lip shade also matches the dress perfectly. Her hair was styled pin straight, shiny and oh so chic! xoxo
Brie: I absolutely love this look from Eva! We often saw her explore the sexy side of fashion. This look keeps that trademark vibe, but it's matured and has a classy twist to it, something that always gives me heart eyes! It's sensual, without being sheer or bodycon and the magnificent layers are so glamorous! She is spot on in choosing red as a signature color - it looks divine on her, especially with her hair back to brunette; it really pops! Her neutral make-up palette is subtle, but strong, while the pop of red at her lips ties the whole styling together. This is head to toe amazing! I'm so used to seeing Eva do casually urban looks that this feminine ensemble really caught my attention! She wore an off-the shoulder maxi dress which showcased a lovely blush floral print on a black background that's perfectly in keeping with the dark florals trend. In many cases, we' d see her toughen up this piece with sandals booties, but instead she elected to go with pretty ankle strap sandals. Pigtail braids, over-size aviators and a tiny pendant necklace round out this sweet look. I love seeing this other side of Eva's style! She was back to form with her next outfit, a toed graphic tee and ripped light wash jeans. The pale denim helps lighten this look up for summer, which I heartily approve. I'm also a fan of her high pony - it's polished but not too fancy. Her dark nails keep the grunge theme going, but she elevates the look by completing it with super-slim strappy sandals, something I always love. Jeans with great heels is such a fab pairing! :)
This colorful look from Alicia is incredibly fun! I can't help but be a massive fan of the way she plays with fashion! Here, she pairs a multi-hued graphic tee with a printed head scarf. We don't get to see her choice of bottoms, but the ripped blue denim she wore here would definitely be workable! What is most striking to me is the way she chooses complex elements but blends them expertly: the green and blue hues of her scarf are echoed in her tee, as is the gray-blue of her stone pendant - which adds a wonderful earthy vibe that fits perfectly with the exotic-bohemian theme. Her bright magenta lip shade ties everything together. It takes a very sure hand to balance all these colors into a look that's accessible and cohesive and Alicia nails it! She next slays a very different ensemble, a black monochrome combination of a sheer body-suit with a solid 'v' detail paired with a feather-accented mini skirt. Her visible brassiere works well here, as it has the effect of a further solid detail on the bodysuit, while adding a bit of extra dimension. She adds a madly chic dose of flash tot the look with a hardware-heavy belt that I'm crazy about! OTK boots in the au courant skin-tight silhouette finish off this fierce and sophisticated ensemble. This is one of the simpler looks we’ve seen from Eva Marie: she pairs a white button down top with destroyed blue denim. I love the way she’s styled her top by layering it over a bodysuit, instead of the more expected semi-sheer shirt over bra look. This keeps the modernity, but adds class and sophistication, especially since Eva left only the top two buttons of her blouse undone, letting the sexy lacing details of her bodysuit be subtext rather than a focal point. The styling is a fantastic way to transition the sultry summer bodysuit+jeans look to fall, as well as a wonderful way to make use of the fact that so many white shirts today are at the very least semi-transparent (which is a pet peeve of mine that I won’t rant about now ;)). Eva uses fierce sandals to complete this look with panache. She ramps up the seduction with her next ensemble, an off-the-shoulder graphic tee with a fab biker-punk vibe with gray destroyed denim and strappy black sandals. Her shoe choice elevates this cool look dramatically. For fall, the sandals could be swapped for pointy ankle boots. If this floral bikini looks familiar, it’s because we’ve also seen Emma wear it. The piece (now sold out) was offered through Eva’s NEM line. I love it just as much on Eva as I did on Emma.
I also love this pale lemon sundress on Gail! How incredibly pretty is this piece? Not only is there the gorgeous color, there is the feminine sweetheart neckline, fit-and-flare shape and enchanting lace hem. Everything about this dress is lighthearted and joyful. She paired it with beige espadrilles for a look that is quintessentially summer. She added a touch of flash with her hoop earrings, but her best accessory may be that glass of white wine ;). (unless it’s champagne, in which case it’s def her best accessory!). Cathy took on the floral trend with this beautiful fit-and-flare dress. The colors in the print are unusual - coral, peach and teal on a burgundy background - but the vibrant mix looks fantastic on her. I love the way the wide central band defines her waist. White flat sandals, which echo the white flowers in the print - make this look more casual, perfect for a day of summer shopping or picnicking. She takes even more risk with color in her next outfit, pairing a lemon yellow flared skirt with a aqua cropped top. This pairing may feel way off the diving board, but I adore this combination and use it quite often. The glowing yellow and cool aqua complement each other wonderfully. Cathy ties it all together with her necklace, a colorful collar of mixed stones ranging from deep mint to coral, cobalt and mango. None of the necklace shades precisely matches her outfit, but there's so many of them, it doesn't matter; it fools the eye and makes the outfit feel immediately cohesive. I am always thrilled to see outfits like this, that are bold and try unusual things. It's so much fun to see and review, especially because I get to yabber about fashion concepts I don't ordinarily get to :) Thanks, Cathy! PS I love her side-pinned hair! Like her outfit, it's a different and fresh take and the 90's/vintage vibe is fab.
Even though Emmalina is a thing of the past, Emma's ability to pick out and model a killer bikini did not fade into the sunset with it. This floral print piece in white, plum and rose is a standout, one of the prettiest bikini prints I've seen in awhile. The front string tie is a fun detail. Summer rocked a bikini at this same event, albeit a much simpler monochrome piece in dusty olive. Hers gets a boost from the strappy string details that make the body a canvas. She added oversize sunnies for a touch more mystique. Eva was also busy repping her new NEM bikini offerings. She showed off a crochet-edged beige string two-piece that was just the right combination of minimalism and detail. Like Summer, she added sunnies ftw. Carmella's graphic tee paired with camo pants is yet another iteration of the look that has become her trademark. She has a wonderful sense of what clothing elements work for her style and character. And she always injects enough je ne se quoi into her styling to make it look more put together than random - casually put together, but put together nonetheless. The low waisted pant silhouette, with her leopard unmentionables showing, gives me throwback, Lita-esque vibes. However, paired with sneakers, the skinnies feel very right now, with that delightful urbanity I've always loved in Carmella's style. What really gives this look it's punch, though, is the mahogany smoky eye and nude lip combo. It's almost startling in the way that it draws attention to her pretty eyes and I'm ttly loving the effect!
Charlotte attended the International Licensing Expo in Las Vegas wearing this swingy mulberry mini dress. I'm wild over this gorgeous, unique color, as well as the way this silhouette works on Charlotte. A fairly straight dress like this, in a soft, flowy fabric obscures curves, but draws attention to the legs. That makes highlighting them with a pair of killer heels a flawless choice -which is exactly what Charlotte has done here with these strappy sandal-booties. I love how the wide, almost industrial, vibe of the straps contrast with the softness of her dress. This is a flawlessly styled, A+ look from Char! Next up is a black monochrome look with a front lace-up detail. The picture lightning and quality makes an exact id tough, but I'd bet on this being a burnout velvet piece. Add leggings or skinny jeans and pointy-toe ankle booties and unleash your inner Dark Queen! I love that this is such a different style from the dress, but that both looks feel completely at-home on Charlotte. She keeps the casual going by pairing a Ric Flair tee with skinny jeans and the same ankle booties. She completed the look with a cropped biker jacket and oversize aviators. The change in tops gives this a more laidback, urban vibe, but she rocks it just as hard! Cathy looked casually trendy as she combined this off-the-shoulder cutout top from Parker with medium wash denim skinny jeans from Madewell. So many of the current offerings of off-shoulder tops have ruffles and other frilly details that I'm loving this pared-down iteration that lets the silhouette do all the taking. I also love the hint of lightness gained by choosing blue denim over black. She finished the look with nude pumps, which works, although I'd have loved a simple black strappy sandal. She embraced the stripe trend with her next ensemble, which paired another off-the-shoulder top with dark jeans. It's hard to tell if these are black or blue, but considering her choice of a gold metallic pointy pump to finish the look, I'd have gone with blue. With shoe fiends everywhere doing almost nothing but nude lately, I'm enjoying her switch to a metallic, particularly since the polished gold contrasts with the breezy vibe of the stripes. Eva Marie has had her NEM fashion line for about a year now and in celebration of that, we thought we'd do a Inspiration Board focusing on the pieces from her collection. Be aware - NEM pieces tend to sell out each season, so if you love something, grab it! NEM's overall focus is toward trendy, fast fashion styles, but there's also a nice selection of the more classic silhouettes I love. That makes it super easy to put looks together, especially as we head into the season of transitional dressing.
This gray midi pencil skirt is about as classic as you can get, which is why it immediately caught my eye! The sleek lines of a pencil skirt always look polished, so softening it up with something like this crochet sweater is a winning match-up. I love the pattern of this piece - it's delicate and very feminine. Layer it over a blush cami or tank and then get in one of this year's hottest color trends by finishing the look with red shoes. The pink is muted by the crochet, so this is a subtle and safe way to try this daring match-up. (Don't forget that you can reverse it with a red cami and blush shoes instead, if you possess those pieces already ;)). This look will translate to fall easily - just add a jacket on top. Look for one that's slightly shorter than the sweater and let the scalloped hem and sleeves show beneath. I would probably opt for a blazer here, but military, biker or a classic leather piece will look flawless as well. Swap the mules for pumps or ankle booties (play it cool with beige or black neutrals or take a risk with burgundy velvet ones ;)) NEM Pieces: Summer Crochet Top All In Skirt |
