On RAW'S 25th Anniversary, we fans had the fortunate experience of seeing some of our favourite women from the past, some we haven't seen for years, grace our screens once again.....and now, we get to review their fashion :), which is a massive thrill! Lilian Garcia: The sultry songstress’ look was trademark Lilian, pairing a glittering printed dress with suede OTK boots. This is a combo Lil has plenty of experience with and it shows, as she smartly plays on texture by combining suede with shine. Her long and loose hairstyle adds her customary sense of ease and un-fussiness (did I just make up a word again?) to what could be a fairly fancy look, making it feel accessible, but also formal enough to be respectful to the occasion. Plus, it makes it feel like a party! Shine will do that ;) Nikki & Brie Bella: It's been so long since we've seen both Bella Twins on screen together in a WWE setting, so RAW 25 was definitely a special moment for the Bella Army. Though we all know Nikki can 100% slay in a designer dress and heels, she brought her ring gear out for this night. Rocking her signature snapback, red jersey top and shorts, knee high socks, and sneakers.. this is THE Nikki Bella look we all know and love. Brie Bella walked onto the ramp in style, wearing black high waisted leggings, ankle boots, and a tied up Brie Mode t-shirt. Her accessory of choice? A red flannel tied around her waist... which of course, is classic Brie Bella. Barbie/Kelly Kelly: As per her usual gift for dressing just right for the occasion, Barbie (aka Kelly Kelly) looked every inch the former diva – in fact, she looked like she could step right back into Diva-hood tomorrow without missing a beat. She paired a zippered sequin crop top with cut-off blue denim shorts. She topped the look with a sleek and thoroughly fierce leather motorcycle jacket, tempering the glam with a dose of punk attitude that’s echoed by the wide belt at her waist. She earn props from me for not going over the top with a sequin or crystal belt; this unembellished one makes just the right statement. Barbie finished the look with my favorite piece in the ensemble: sequin pointy ankle booties. I’m heaven! Right there is where she goes from typically fab to street style Queen. They make this outfit! Michelle McCool: I can’t help getting a special thrill when I have the chance to review new Michelle-looks. It takes me back to the early days of my fashion-wrestling romance. The leading lady of LayCool retired right before we started Diva-Fierce, so I never got to review as much of her fashion as I would like. Each nugget I get now is a little shout-out to that dream :). Michelle’s 25th Anniversary look is like her LayCool style, but updated for today. She paired a sheer-and-solid bodysuit with a leather mini skirt that features an intriguing curved hem. What also strikes me about the look is the way the placement of the lower solid panel of the bodysuit creates the effect of a high waist, which makes this pairing feel super-current. In true LayCool style, she completed the styling with OTK boots (I don’t mind these sequined Louboutins – thank goodness this look is all-black or all these textures and materials would get very busy in a hurry :)-, but I immediately thought of her Louis Vuitton Seduction boots to pair with this look; they would have worked perfectly, as long as the shaft height was appropriate for her skirt) and one of her trademark statement bracelets. Hints of gold added the subtle polish that is always evident in her style. Although I could do without the braids, I love the buoyant, cool-girl attitude of her mid-height pony. Torrie Wilson: When I first saw this outfit, I thought she had finished with it knee-high boots, which I thought felt a little throwback-ish, but livable. On closer inspection, they seem to be ankle booties paired with hardware-embellished knee socks? I’m not quite sure what’s going on down there tbh, so I’m just gonna move on because the rest of Torrie’s look rocks! She paired a simple scoopneck white tank with black sequined shorts and a coordinating bomber jacket. It reminds me of something 1989-era Taylor Swift would have worn on stage (and that’s a huge compliment because I adore Taylor’s fashion). This look nails enviably unstudied glam. One cute pair of fierce ankle booties and I’d have been delirious. PS Don’t you love how these ladies completely don’t age? Torrie looks as amazing as she did ten years ago when she retired. Can we get a tutorial on that, pretty please? :) Trish Stratus: Looking equally amazing was Trish in her cropped boxy graphic tee and leather pencil skirt! Girlfriend totally brought it with this look, which she finished with black ankle booties. I love the 80’s-meets-now vibe of this look; it feels on-trend, totally appropriate and has a subtle sensuality. A glittering cuff adds a touch of sparkle to an ensemble that’s street style dream. If I was splitting hairs, I’d say she probably could have gotten away without the belt, but whatevs…I love this from head to toe! Maryse: The It Mama paired a floral-embellished maxi dress, done in a classic black and red combo, with tall suede boots. Since the dress hit at high ankle length, they were a perfect choice in terms of shaft height, segueing nicely around the complexity of getting the right height with an ankle boot. I also love that she didn’t try to over-sell her fashion at this event; she went with a classy, chic look that worked wonderfully. Her studded jacket topped the look with a big dose of attitude that gave the ensemble interest and panache and pulled it together flawlessly, visually defining her waist and bringing extra movement. These are the kind of stellar choices that endear Maryse to me!
Maria: Another WWE Mama-to-be was racking up the style props with her look: Maria rocked a black monochrome ensemble that combined a v-neck tunic with leather leggings. Like Maryse, she intelligently didn’t over-do the look – her black studded cropped jacket worked in essentially the same way as Maryse’s and added the perfect exclamation point to the look. She finished it with wedge ankle booties that work, but come off a little heavy to my eye. Then again, if I had to walk on a slippery runway with a baby on board, I’d probably go for the balance and ease of wedges over stilettos too :). Terri Runnels: WOW. How glamorous did Terri look with her strapless satin gown and fur stole?! She really cranked it up and it was so much fun to see! The pairing of simple neutrals kept the look sophisticated, while the thigh-high slit and nude pumps made it current. Touches of gold at her wrist and a stunning gold statement necklace completed the fancy look. That is how you do Diva! Jacqueline: The 2016 Hall Of Fame inductee kept things simple for her return to Raw, with a black tank and flared pants, but ramped up the styling considerably with my favorite part: her star-emblazoned bomber jacket. That is such an awesome piece! It’s cool and relaxed vibe gets a shot of trend and casual glam via the print and the metallic stars elevate the rest of the look, making it event-ready. This is why I looooove great jackets – they’re a flawless way to give a look that necessary zing :).
