Question of the moment: can Brie review three months of fashion before the end of the year? Welp…I have zero clues. But I’m gonna try :). Barbie’s late September gem of a look is a New Year’s outfit waiting to happen. I was wild over this the instant I saw it: denim button down, sequin pencil skirt – what’s not to love? Barbie completed the look with leg-lengthening nude pumps and kept her make-up soft as well, letting the shine from her skirt be the main focus. I love how this outfit is both relaxed and party-worthy at the same time! PS I would also happily do this look with a flannel buttondown ;) Brandi showed off this snap on her Instagram, which seems to be from a photoshoot with Cody and herself. That dress tho! Lace, appliqué, sheer – it’s a total confection of gorgeousness wrapped up in an LBD. Brandi tones it down by keeping her hair long and loose and accenting it simply, with nude pumps, making the overall ensemble come off incredibly chic. I love this girl’s style! Have I mentioned that? (Only perpetually, yes?). Lana updated her previous tv look (this vest+pencil skirt combo which reminded me of her early Ravishing Russian style) with red lapels. She echoed the shade in her lips and lovely ankle strap heels. I love her in red – it’s a stunning color for her, so I like this iteration very much. I do hope she’s going to do more than change lapel colors for this era, though, ‘cuz that could get old in a hurry. Lana has a wonderful sense of style, so I’m placing my bets on seeing her change up a bit more soon. Charlotte often reaches for black monochrome looks for her tv appearances, and she does it again here, pairing a black cropped top with leather leggings and suede knee boots. The silhouette created by this pairing is a little challenging for her body type, which is quite straight. While the leggings help to define her waist, the top kind of cancels that out and makes her look more blocky. A looser and/or blousonne-style top would work better for these super-skinny bottoms. Alternatively, shortening the height of the crop just slightly, so it hit at the narrowest part of her body could work too. We saw Alexa go for a similar look, using nearly all black, with leather leggings on the bottom. Blissy paired them with a simple, longer-length tank and topped the ensemble with a printed, gray hooded vest. I love the look of the shorter vest layered over the longer tank, as well as the sporty vibe it brings to the look. I’m super glad she added the hardware-embellished ankle booties! They add that totally needed dose of jazz to the look. This September Smackdown look from Becky needs a little help. First, while the vest is a super cool piece on its own, pairing it with the blousonne top isn’t the best use for it. A slimmer fitting tank or bodysuit would work much better. Because of the hot mess on top, the ordinarily cool idea of statement boots looks like one detail too many. I’d also prefer these laced only halfway for a more relaxed styling, or swapped out for a pair with more of a heel. As with Charlotte’s look, the concept is good here; it just needs a few tweaks in execution. Brandi had a few more September gems for us, the first being this pairing of a gray sleeveless blouse with blue skinny denim. I love the on-trend ruffle embellishment, especially its unique placement at the shoulder. The formality it creates gives this blouse a stronger contrast with the laidback distressed denim and the effect is fabulous! The two elements are just disparate enough to feel fresh and modern. Brandi completed the look with a dose of texture in the form of gray suede ankle boots, which tie the look together perfectly. Next up is a red off-the-shoulder dress, spiked with printed heels, her favorite Ark bag from Cult Gaia and a multi-colored collar necklace. We previously saw her use this necklace to add spice to an LBD. Here, it connects and harmonizes the brilliant red of her dress and her fun shoes! Cathy wore this super-chic jumpsuit to the Mae Young classic. What a wonderful choice this is! It’s simple, but oh so chic, with its polished tailoring, trendy one-shoulder silhouette and sophisticated knot detail. I would 100% wear this! I also love her high pony – I’m thrilled that she did something different with her hair, other than leave it long and loose and I love the way the soft waves at her neck add movement and femininity to this ultra-refined look! She gets even more love from me with her next outfit, which is similar in concept to Barbie’s look above. Cathy swapped the sequins for oxblood leather and chose a denim shirt with pretty floral appliqué, making her version more casual but equally effective. I’m still loving her high ponytail too! She wore this intriguing striped wrap dress to remind us that she now has a blog (woot woot – congrats, Cathy!). She discussed fashion, food, workouts and much more there, so def go check it out! I enjoy her fashion blogging style as she details the concepts behind why she chose certain pieces and why she decided to pair them, as well as where each piece is from. This particular dress has a no-nonsense, suiting-type vibe which Cathy offset nicely with delicate pearl-embellished sandals.
I am big-time loving this outfit Charlotte put together for the various events she attended on the day of the Mae Young classic! The blousonne top looks gorgeous with the high-waisted wide-leg pants, especially with the luxe vibe of its velvet fabric and the subtle seduction of the one-shoulder silhouette. She completed the look with black, strappy sandal-booties. The width of the straps make this a more structured shoe, which anchors the flowiness of the rest of the outfit flawlessly. Everything about this look is right! Next up is another ensemble involving wide-leg pants – Charlotte is one of just a few Divas to consistently embrace this trend and I love that she does! It always works well for her and looks so chic! Here, she combines a tailored beige pair with a sleeveless floral blouse. The light neutral softens the look considerably, while still exploring the dark floral that have stormed the fashion world. I wish the pants were hemmed just slightly so we could see her shoes. I’d be going with black pointy pumps here for a polished finish. Florals continued to be a favorite for her in her next look as well, when she wore this layered top for the Second Nature book tour (the story, shared with her father, of her rise to the top of WWE). The piece is quite voluminous, so she intelligently paired it with slim pants, which balance it out. A bright cerise trench adds a fun and expected shot of color, while pristine white pumps create a sleek and appropriately professional finish.
