Like Jojo, Alicia gives us two different looks in this shoot. What I love is that both of her outfits have a streetwise, superhero vibe to them. This first one is my favorite of the two. I love the edgy, sporty mesh top; it gives a wonderful, raw, athletic vibe to the look, especially set over her black bralette. Black jeans complete her ensemble. I also ADORE her necklace. I'm not sure if this is a purchased piece or a DIY pairing of a crystal pin with a cascade of black ribbon. (If the latter, maybe Foxy would consider giving us a video tutorial!). Either way, this looks AMAZING! It reminds me of a Lanvin piece and gives a fantastic vintage-glam shading to the look, adding complexity in a super cool way. Natalya also picked a look that works for a superhero shoot - a leather peplum top and pants, paired with leather pants and studded elbow gloves/ This is a reprise if an outfit we saw her wear on television awhile back, so it may fall into the "photoshopped on to the background" category, but I really like the fact that, unlike some other ensembles, this one fits the theme. I'm also head-over-heels for Nattie's 60's-esque back-combed hairstyle and I'm soooo glad we got a shoot with it. This retro style is gorgeous and has a definite "dangerous woman" vibe. If only she'd gotten to explore this idea further...like with an art gallery and laser lights and a world-altering weapon she'd stolen just before escaping on her custom-built supersonic air-glider ;) The highlight of Sasha's pics is the way she worked the poses...and nailed some great ones! I look forward to her continued work in front of the camera, as she has a special flair for creating snaps that I can only see improving with time. I like this pairing of coated denim with her (available here on WWEshop.com #ShamelessPlug) Legit Boss tee. She accessorizes with her trademark sunglasses in red and her Boss necklace and basically nails the character and attitude. What I wish is that she was allowed to do this as a separate shoot, rather than jumbled in with this superhero set. This has the makings of a superb character set - and I also loved her Instagram variation where she added a red fur cape!- and it really should have been allowed to stand on its won. Naomi does an excellent job in this shoot with her outfit choice. She paired a leather bustier with leather-accented leggings and lace-up OTK's. Now, that's an outfit worthy of a superhero! She experimented with poses and facial expressions - yay! Seeing her push her boundaries is a thrill and so exciting!
A lace dress is not the first piece of clothing I think of when I think of superheroes. However, this choice of Eden's does work in a less obvious way. It suggests the other aspects to the superhero character: the sexy temptress or self-made billionaire alter-ego. That the lace is an overlay to the black satin sheath underneath accentuates this idea. The soft mystery and texture of the lace makes a sultry contrast to the rough and smoky background. Eden's dark cranberry lip was definitely the way to go - bringing a hint of color, while still embracing the darkness of the concept. Foxy's second look is more aggressively modern than her first, pairing a cutout cropped top with leather shorts. Gold jewelry, includling a chain belt (which is a highlight piece!) accented her look. She also switched her hairstyle to a more conservative, but beautiful, style to increase the contrast between her two ensembles. Her poses are classics, and done flawlessly. I wish we'd gotten to see her shoes...lace-up gladiator heels, possibly? :)
