Woohoo! The hottest party of the Summer is happening... Tonight! Summerslam is one of the biggest PPV's WWE puts on every year, and because of that, we usually get some pretty exciting, unique, and head turning gear from the women superstars. Before we see what the lovely ladies bring to the table tonight, let's look back at past SummerSlam years and some memorable ensembles. 2013 - Brie Bella Briiiiieeee Moooooddeeee! Goodness, I miss that. Brie totally killed it back in 2013 with this vintage inspired gear. The black, white, and red color scheme is text-book Bella style, and I adore the long, red gloves she added for her entrance. Do you see those tiny bows on her wrists? Adorable! This gear was before Brie moved away from her trademark ruffle boot covers, but I love how the trim matches her high waisted shorts. Now, the really cool fact about this gear is that you could actually own it yourself... because it's a swim suit! That's right! I couldn't find it anymore, but I remember when she debuted this gear, people found the exact same suit online. It would be like owning a little piece of SummerSlam, and Bella Twins, fashion history. 2014 - Paige & Stephanie McMahon Speaking of missing something, hands up if you miss Paige? *sticks up both hands and shouts MEEEEEE* We haven't seen our Anti-Diva in so long, but at least we have some fond memories to look back on. Paige's gear was always different from the other girls. She had a darker look, usually going with more leather, studs, and metal accents. This red gear truly stands out by mixing the bright color with the previously mentioned elements. I'm sure that once Paige is cleared to step back into the ring again, she will still be rocking her unique style. Now, when Stephanie McMchon returned to in-ring action for the first time in 10 years, we knew she was going to come out in something memorable. And oh boy, did she ever. Not many women go the bodysuit option, but Steph did and she did it well! I love how the piece is broken up with sections of sheer black and mesh. The silver/dark grey accents are the perfect extra touches. She only wore this gear once, and then I believe it was auctioned off. But one night with this gear is all we needed to remember that Stephanie is a kick ass, dominating women who you don't want to mess with. She was born into this business. 2015 - Charlotte Flair Now, if we're going to talk about being born into the business, take a look back to 2015 and Charlotte Flair. We could do a full article just on The Queen and her incredible gear evolution (Hmmm...) But for right now, let's just remember this night. You wouldn't think that nude gear would stand out so much, but Charlotte had all eyes on her by adding tons of sparkle throughout her top and shorts. At first, I thought they were clear embellishments. However, in different photos and lighting, you can see so much more. We get tiny flicks of blues and greens. I swear I can even see some red and yellow. I would love to see Charlotte take this idea and translate it into her most recent gear style. I think it would be a-maz-ing! 2016 - Sasha Banks & Nikki Bella
The Boss has always had some of the best gear in the business. With her trademark straps going down her arm, and split color scheme, there's no doubt that Sasha commands attention when she walks down the ramp and into the ring. Her jacket though, that's what really stood out last year. It added so much to her look, moreso than a plain black jacket would. Also, the red and white. One of my favourite aspects about Sasha's gear has always been the colors. This is such a bold contrast and I'm loving it. The gold trim is the perfect finishing touch, along with the specks of reds on her top. And last, but certainly not least, I couldn't do a review on SummerSlam gear without mentioning my girl, Nikki Bella. Last years SummerSlam was her night. The night she made her comeback from an injury that so many people doubted she would ever return from. The white, black, and red colors are signature Bella, just like we mentioned with Brie's look in 2013. Nikki's gear style didn't change much from before she left. She still had her jersey top, though it was now embroidered with her new motto "Stay Fearless." She also kept her shorts, knee socks, and Nikes. That's Nikki's look and she rocked it. #BellaArmyForLife
