Considering the way Valentino’s Rockstud t-straps have overthrown any other rulers of the fashion shoe-niverse, I’ve been waiting for a lady superstar to break out a pair. Naturally, it would be Maryse. With her exquisite taste and sense of style, how could she skip these? “These” are the original iteration of the Rockstud, a fairly simple t-strap pump, accented with square studs on the straps and around the vamp. And they are beautiful. So, take a moment. Their success has been so great that they’ve spawned flat, sandal, triple strap kitten heel and wedge espadrille versions. There are so many versions out now, including different a galaxy-full of different color combinations, be-crystalled versions and colored-stud variations that you can own a very unique pair…even when you’re wearing the same shoe as half the planet. Straight up marketing genius. Oh, and they’re beautiful. Maryse’s ivory and blush originals are available here. Of course, you don’t mind dropping a grand or so. Oh, you do? Do you think maybe we’re going to do a Hunt post with some Get-The-Look options for you? You bet your hot little bottom dollar we are! ;) So, enjoy these…and stick around.

With Brie and Nikki both wearing these gorgeous yellow pointy toe pumps recently, you may have been wondering how long it would take me to be all over the hunt for a pair. And the answer is: not long :). That's partly the case because I'm always on the lookout for fabulous yellow shoes, as yellow is my favorite - and signature- color. The twins' pair is the Alice and Olivia Dina pump, which we've seen Brie practically living in lately. She's worn them both in denim and in laser-cut floral. (PS, if you're in love with either of those, now is a good time to search around as they are on sale in a few places, including Saks, if you're lucky enough to take certain sizes). The yellow suede ones are nearly sold out - but on sale :) - at shopbop in smaller sizes, so sprint over if you're set on having exacts for those. Then again, maybe you loooooove the idea of a yellow shoe, but aren't ready to throw your budget out of whack to have one. I hear ya and I'm with ya. So, here are a couple of wallet-friendlier options for you to consider :) : the Ivanka Trump Carra at nordstrom.com, the 9 West Tatiana at 6pm.com or ninewest.com, the Penny Loves Kenny Opus at dsw.com and the Charles by Charles David Pact at lastcall.com (one of my fav places to shop - you can get some fab deals there if you hit it at just the right time ;)) Have fun yellow-shoe-shopping, loves!
Periodically, a dress comes along that captures my imagination and just will not leave my head. Kate Hudson's yellow dress in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days was like that. So was this chartreuse confection of Barbie's from her recent photoshoot. The fashion world trended toward highlighter yellow over the last year or two, but now we're starting to see some of the lime shades (with a touch more green in them) come back. I've scoured my favorite places to online shop and found a few beauties that seem to fit the vibe. You can check out direct links at our polyvore page, or just scroll through the maxis on the listed sites. *The dress listed at bloomingdales.com is also available at lordandtaylor.com, in fewer sizes, but at a much better price, so you might want to check there first. :) Then again, maybe lime, chartreuse, kiwi and their ilk aren't your thing, but the idea of a bright maxi appeals to you. I can totally get on board with that! Gorgeous dresses in sumptuous colors are just like...everything, right? Wear them as is right now, wear them with a jacket or pullover in the fall. Hello, versatility! :) If you need some alternately-colored inspiration, here are some other possibilities to get your creative/purchasing/gift-to-yourself juices flowing. Happy bright-maxi-dress hunting!
A couple of months before WrestleMania, Renee was debating outfit choices for the big day on her blog, prettyfunnyblonde.com. One of her thoughts was a chic suit...which turned out to be what she ultimately chose. While she came up with a number of cool options, I really like this particular choice. It's very clean and sophisticated, but still unique, which is something we've come to expect from Renee's varied and often offbeat sense of style. The suit itself is marvelous! This shade of ivory is crisp, without being harsh. The strong shoulder and classic tailoring give it a hint of a menswear vibe, but that color, along with he beautiful, drapey fabric bring out the feminine side as well for a very appealing dynamic. There's a subtle sexiness from the deep-v design, enhanced by her silver lariat (as an aside, ivory and silver is one of my favorite color pairings!). Her polished, refined low bun is a wonderful way to enhance the precision and minimalism of the look. She completely nailed this one!
*Edit: the suit is Elizabeth & James, as confirmed by Renee. It is the (sadly sold out) Morin Shawl Collar blazer. The (on sale at the Outnet) Natalie blazer from Rag & Bone is a sim. Like Renee, Lita tends to put pieces together in a creative way. She was on hand at the Granddaddy Of Them All to reveal the brand new Women's Championship belt. She paired a lace and sequin embellished bodysuit with wide leg pants for a look that, at first glance, came off as a pantsuit due to the monochrome color scheme. No stranger to killer shoe choices (remember the bowed pumps that got us all talking at WM 3 years ago?;) ), she finished the look off with heeled oxford booties. Again, similar to Renee's outfit, this one had a wonderful interplay between masculine (the haberdashery-esque suiting pants and oxfords) and feminine (that gorgeous, glittering lace and the sheer inset). It was appropriately formal, but also professional. So, yes...I'm making it official: Lita slayed again. We also get a tiny peek at Lilian's dress...and I so deeply madly wish we'd gotten a better look at this because I'm pretty sure it's my #1 favorite of all her looks from this WrestleMania. Firstly, the rich grape color is magnificent. Second, while the embroidered/jeweled high neckline reminds me of Jojo's HoF dress, Lilian's then blossoms into more embellishment at the wide waistband. This piece is divine and makes her look like a modern-day Maharajah. I'm in beautiful agony...more, please! It's rapidly turning into shoefinder.com around here :)...but, if you're into that sort of thing ;), you can grab yourself a pair of Charlotte's fun and fierce Maddye booties by Steve Madden, a fab pair of mesh booties with a distinctive drizzled lacing. These suede beauties have a pretty substantial heel (4.75"), but due to the bootie style, should still be quite workable to walk in. Char styled them with rolled skinny denim and a simple black tank. They'd also be the perfect finish to a casual LBD or a springy pastel fit-and-flare skirt with a crop top. You can snag yourself a pair of these at zappos.com in sand or black. An additional - and gorgeous! - plum burgundy shade is available at stevemadden.com.
If you've been a very, very good girl lately...and happen to have an extra grand or two to toss about, you can now avail yourself of this amazing pair of lace-up studded sandals, worn lately by Barbie Blank-Souray and known to abject shoewhores the world over as the Valentino Rockstud sandal. The entire Rockstud line has pretty much stormed the fashion world in the last few seasons and if you are currently trying to figure out how many bank accounts you need to close out to get a pair of these, I am right with you! The delicate lace-up adds a sexy, feminine feel to an already crave-worthy piece of footwear. Hubba hubba. It's available here at MyTheresa.com in the metallic taupe shade shown, as well as black and nude.
I know, I know...I do a lot of shoes here. It's just..I'm good at shoes. Like Carrie Bradshaw, "Men I may not know, but shoes? Shoes, I know!" :) If you're in love with Charlotte's style, smile, 'cuz you can get your hands on these blush cutout pumps she wore to the recent WrestleMania 33 Press Announcement. They're the Abi 3 by Kendall+Kylie and they sport a really fun and unique swooped silhouette at the sides. They are available here at zappos.com...and not only in blush! Black, white and a gorgeous blue are also among the offerings. Best of all, these are an affordable pair - not bargain basement, but not Louboutins either ;). Don't get me wrong, I looooove getting rhapsodize over my fav ladies wearing stuff I dream about...but's it's also a jazz to see them in things I can actually work into budget!
