Are you on tenterhooks yet? We've seen the Ever So Fine and the Fab...but which gorgeous divas fill the ranks of the Fantastic and the Flawless?... Beth Phoenix: Beth often chose black dresses for red carpet events while with WWE, but I always had a special love of seeing her in color. She rocked some this year with this softly beautiful lilac-silver gown, which makes her look just radiant (her pregnancy may be helping with that too ;)...CONGRATS Beth & Edge!). The satin waistband is a beautiful and sophisticated detail, as is the diamond pin that secures the wrap design of this gorgeous gown. Beth accented it with a delicate, layered necklace and a feminine half-updo set off by twists and curls. The whole presentation is subtle, but striking, and without a doubt one of my all-time favorite red carpet looks from Beth! I'm so happy to see her looking so happy ...and so stunning! Jacqueline: I really love the dress Jacqueline chose for her Hall Of Fame induction: it's so much more than a classic, black gown! The crystal-embellished scrollwork at the top adds one glamorous detail, while the unique and becoming draped wrap - completed by a glittering flower- provides another. Together, they make this dress truly special. Jacqueline accented it with a crystal bangle and slim earrings, for a cohesive and chic ensemble, well worthy of her magical night! Jojo: This girl continues to impress me with her maturing sense of style; she is one of the highest-ranking new additions to the count-up in recent years. Her dress is a wonderful combination of modernity and glamour! It has the feel of a coord set, but the embellished black skirt and simple bandeau are connected by a cascade of magnificent jewels. The sleek, high pony adds both polish and a sense of fun, while tiny stud earrings add all that's needed for baubletry. I love the confidence and command of style this choice shows; it's such an amazing look, totally appropriate for both the Hall Of Fame and for Jojo. Very nicely done! Lilian: If Lilian didn't slay the red carpet, I'd probably do something drastic from the shock :). This glittering strapless ensemble is, as usual, an unerring choice. The shimmery fabric and swirling sequins make it an adventurous choice, which Lilian intelligently counters with a plain black clutch and laid-back hairstyle. I love how she doesn't shy away from the formality of the gown, but works with it. She gets bonus fierce points for utilizing one of my favorite accessories: a statement ring in a coordinating color, which brings harmony to the look. Fantastic, as always! The top of the count-up is always the most fun...and the toughest! The choice is always between ladies who did everything right..urgh. I mean, I love when it's tough...LOVE..cuz that means my faves rockin' it but..it's still tough :) Plus, I have rules for myself...like, no ties for first place. Ah, #FashionBloggerProbs *histrionic sigh*. Deep breath...ready? ;)
Charlotte: the honor of this year's highest debut goes to the lady who is changing the division every time she sets foot in the ring. I was immediately captivated by the strong, spare statement Charlotte made with this Jovani dress. The eye-catching drama comes from the plunging v-front and the halter style. That boldness doesn't need much accentuation; it's highlighted by minimalism, something Charlotte is clearly aware of. She let the silhouette do the talking, while elevating it with an absolutely stunning hairstyle - a poof with a low pony, which looks ravishing on her-, as well as glitter-encrusted gold heels, which bring just the right touch of formality the look. Wonderful ensemble, Charlotte! Brie: She is a goddess at formal events and this year's John Paul Ataker gown was one more in that train of exceptionalism. Ataker is known for the quality of his fabrics and this glorious steel-gray gown from his F/W '16/'17 collection is evidence of why. The sheen, the drape, the color: it's jaw-dropping! Added to that is the strapless mermaid silhouette, concluded by asymmetrical ruffled layers. The cut is superb, the fit flawless and the overall effect spectacular. This is glamour defined. Brie softened it with flowing, softly curled hair and added a fierce twist with a studded minaudiere in warm vanilla which contrasted with her gown. Kudos, Brie, for capturing third on our count-up! The streak continues :) Maryse: One of the biggest surprises to me in all the years we've done this count-up is that Maryse has never been in the top three...until now. This year, her entire look was magnificent...every piece was flawlessly melded into a breathtaking ensemble. First, there was the silhouette: glamorous, gorgeous and, as is Maryse's wont, sexy - but sexy in a just-enough way, rather than an over-the-top way. Next, there is that entrancing shade of emerald green. Not only is it an on-trend color, it stands out in the expected sea of neutrals, and it is incredibly flattering on Maryse. Third, there is her chic and dazzlingly refined low bun. Finally, there is her brilliant choice of subtle sparkle via a collar and earrings to accentuate the classic allure of her gown. While it is similar in style to Brie's, its color, her hairstyle and accessory choices nudged it over the top for me. Everything about this look is perfect. Everything. I am so thrilled to be able to congratulate Maryse on being the runner-up on this year's count-up. Brava! Eden: 2016 is, indeed, a year of firsts. Eden was the first debutante to take the number one spot; this year, she can add another unprecedented achievement. For the first time ever in the history of our Hall Of Fame count-up, we have a repeat winner! In an about-face from 2015's minimalist triumph, Eden chose an exquisite lace-and-sequin embellished cobalt gown from Mac Duggal. The body-kissing cap-sleeve silhouette was simple, but the romantic, on-trend fabric was anything but! A sheer inset panel nodded to allure. Her side-swept updo brought elegance, while the feminine flower in her hair added an unexpected burst of color which, along with her crimson lip, enlivened the look. One of my favorite pieces of the ensemble was her floral clutch. Adding such a busy, though captivating, statement piece risked competing with the rest of the look. By choosing to do it in black, Eden allowed it to enhance the texture of the ensemble, rather than push it over-the top. It takes a thorough command of fashion to be daring yet classy, surprising yet graceful all at once. This look is masterful. I am pleased and honored to congratulate Eden for ,once again, taking the top of the podium in our Hall of Fame Fashion Review! #StandingOvation.
