I’m still not over the high of Wrestlemania week – maybe because I’ve been slaving over pics and collages :) We will have AAALLLL the Wrestlemania fashion for you here over the course of the next few days and we’re kicking it off with a taste of the Hall Of Fame. Last year, we gave all the non-roster ladies their own count-up and this year, since we have a number of ladies participating, we’re keeping the tradition going! The looks ran the gamut from monochrome to brights, fancy to relaxed and we loved seeing all of them. I have to open with my usual caveat: all the ladies looked incredible and every time I do a count-up, I’m always splitting hairs to determine placings! Tiny things make the difference because they have to :). With that said, let’s get to the “who wowed us the most” part! Here goes… Lita rocked a black monochrome look comprised of a flawlessly-fitting jumpsuit, accented with a self-tie at the waist. Black ankle booties and a black bag kept the color theme front and center. She added a welcome touch of sparkle with her black necklace. I love that Lita made choice she seems very comfortable and at home in! It unfortunately lands on the low side of the count-up because it’s simply not formal enough for a night gala event like the Hall Of Fame. That isn’t saying it couldn’t be –while a piece like this is nearly always less formal than a gown, the right styling (as well as the material of the piece) can elevate it to appropriateness. A glamorous bag and evening-style shoe (think satin, embellished booties, instead of leather) would have given this look more formality. An up-do, instead of long, straight locks would have assisted as well. I’m sure you’ll have guessed that was immediately drawn to Maria Menounos’ glowing yellow dress! The color is an absolute stand-out. I love the easy, Grecian drape of the fabric, too, as well as the shape-enhancing, wide black waist belt. She kept the rest of the styling simple, with tiny studs that just peeked out from beneath her gorgeous hair – I love the way this style looks on her! Like Lita’s look, this is still a touch informal for the event. A more formal belt, a statement ring or bracelet, fancy hair accessories all would have been excellent options for elevating this stunning dress just a touch more. Lilian’s Hall Of Fame selections are perennially wonderful. They’re always beautiful, always appropriate. This simple black gown is raised to night-event status by the magnificent, glittering gold embellishment at the bodice. The sheer central panel add a touch more drama. This piece is dressy enough to allow Lilian’s long and loose hair style. While the look isn’t groundbreaking, it is excellently styled in every way, making it one more in Lil’s lengthy run of admirable Hall Of Fame looks. Her consistency earns my perpetual respect. Trish brought jaw-dropping color to the red carpet with this apple red satin gown. The fit is stunning and utterly perfect and I love that she chose such a vibrant color! Myriads of dark gowns can begin to induce ennui after awhile. The dress gets a glamorous touch from the gemstones at the shoulder straps and, while I love the sparkle, the combination of their size, the ruching and the mermaid style make this gown feel a tick off-trend. That could have been balanced out though, with the right shoe choice: minimal strappy sandals or ankle-strap pumps would have updated the look beautifully. The platform pumps don’t have quite the same effect. Even so, I love this gorgeous dress on her; she looks amazing! As an avid admirer of her style, I am often somewhat disappointed in Michelle’s red carpet looks because she has the tendency to push the envelope a smidge too far. She came very close to the line this year by flouting the “legs-or-decolleté: choose one” guideline, but after careful consideration, I think she makes this work. I’d be happier if the side slit had been sewn up to be a little less risqué, but it seems to just make the cut (no pun intended :)) into the category of dramatic effect. Beyond that, this look is expertly styled. The deep peacock-blue velvet is mesmerizingly beautiful, her tiny necklaces accent her collar bone just enough, her platinum envelope clutch flawlessly echoes her glittering peeptoe pumps – which are more subtle and effective than they appear in this flash-lit snap. As with Trish’s look, I’d have preferred a single-sole choice, but I can live with these, as they complement her other accessories so well. Her sleek, low pony, which has always been a stellar look for Michelle, add the perfect dose of smooth polish to counterbalance the luxe and glamour of her look. I’m so thrilled to be able to give Michelle a slot in the upper echelons of the count-up that I’ve long felt her sense of style deserves. Kudos Michelle on landing the third spot in our Review!
In the runner-up position is Hall Of Fame inductee Ivory, in her wonderful two-tone halter gown. In addition to the delightful burgundy shade, the pleats gave this piece fabulous movement, which looked incredible ! The piece got an extra touch of elegance from the half-moon shaped crystal embellishment at the bodice, which Ivory echoed with drop earrings and statement cuff. This is a fantastic example of elevating a piece via jewels and it provided the coup de grace for a praise-worthy look. Ivory finished her ensemble with embellished peeptoe sandals that carried the black shade of the gown’s top half throughout the look. This is elegance and drama, without being overwrought or showy and I love it! Congratulations, Ivory on both your induction and your splendid fashion! I knew the moment I saw Molly’s gown that her look was going to be one of the highlights of the night! The simple silhouette is divine, and looks utterly stunning, particularly due to the on-trend off-the-shoulder design. I’m wild over the glittering navy fabric – it’s dazzlingly beautiful, appropriate and earns bonus points in my book for not being all-too-easy black. Her crystal statement necklace gives the look an extra dash of sparkle, which works well (although I think Molly could have gotten away without it, had she wished). Jeweled strappy sandals completed the styling. With her youthful and charming feathered pixie cut, she needed nothing further than simple, subtle make-up to pull this ensemble together. I adore everything about this look: it’s classy, chic and exquisite in every way. Brava, Molly! Congratulations on taking the top of the podium for Diva-Fierce.com’s 2018 Non-Roster Hall Of Fame Fashion Review!
