We saw Lana working the short hair with this street look and I like the way the sharp, edgy cut acts as a counterpoint to the easy movement of her long cardi. She rocked the rainbow trend with a cropped top that made for a fun proportion-play when paired with her high-waisted jeans. Even though there are a number of 80’s vibes in this look –including her white pointed booties -, it feels like a very modern moment. While sweater-ensembles can often feel very laidback, the bootie silhouette and her hair combine to give this one polish and trendy attitude. She amped that vibe up with her next outfit, a sporty striped knit sheath dress, paired with white sneakers. A red lip provided the exclamation point for this look. This styling is so easy to just throw on an yet, it looks completely pulled together. So, basically your perfect summer outfit. Toss a bomber or military jacket over your shoulders and wear now. Laurel (aka Chelsea Green) was looking fierce and fearless in this crimson snake-print workout set. Her dark hair complements the mood of these piece perfectly and the high pony is super-cute! Anyone else getting Rep-era Taylor Swift vibes? I can def see a character like that working for her – a little psycho, a little rebel, a little fashion queen. Yep, yep. The dark themes have invaded her ring gear as well: how about this fun black gear, embellished with silver spiders?! That is Halloween flawless if I ever saw it! Laurel wore the look in the spring, but maybe she’ll give us another peek at it somewhere, somehow this month :). Mckenzie was slaying as usual with this simple combination of a black cami and jean shorts. She gave the pairing of basics some punch with her accessories; pointy black boots and a beige fedora. Both helped bridge the gap then between winter and spring ensembles and would do the same right now, going in the other direction. Her sherpa-lined denim trucker jacket is particularly appropriate – what a fabulous piece that is! #WantOne. While Mckenzie went with a soft rose lip shade here as an homage to spring, I’d love a darker shade (think cranberry or crimson) as we move toward winter. Trust this girl to bring out the polish in sweats! Have you ever seen them look so stylish? She next paired a burgundy cropped turtleneck with slim-fitting, matching bottoms and took the look from loungewear to total coolness with a pair of beige heeled lace-up boots. Behold the power of the heeled bootie! (cue *I am not worthy bows*). I’m really impressed at how well this works and the bittersweet/mulled wine shade would make this outfit thoroughly autumn-worthy. It’s definitely going in my “to steal” file! Simplicity is her friend once again in this going-out look which paired a boldly striped black and white button-down with laidback distressed denim. Once again, she used accessories for a pulled-together pop, topping the look with a black engineer’s cap and coordinating leather belt. We sadly don’t get to see her shoes, but I’d bet on black ankle booties here. She’s back to athleisure style with her next ensemble, in a look from Tribe Kelley, a USA-made brand of relaxed and sporty pieces, which features its own line of denim. Mckenzie paired a cream-in-coffee oversized sweatshirt-dress with an ivory denim jacket. The look could easily have been completed with sneakers, but she cranks up the fierce quotient by finishing it with black OTK boots instead, a look I have always adored and which is currently coming back into vogue after a few years away. The styling is as perfect for right now as it was in the spring. I would add a black crossbody bag or black statement earrings to tie all the colors together. Mckenzie unleashed her inner rocker for her next spring look, pairing a classic band tee (she earns Fierce points for it being AC/DC :) ) with leather leggings and the black leather OTK’s from her previous outfit. Her burnished red lip complements the lettering on the tee while her strong, smoky eye gives just the right shot of attitude. There is an enviably effortless cool about this outfit: it’s straightforward and confident without looking in the least try-hard. I’m loving it from head to toe!
Michelle went full-on 70’s for this March outing, pairing chestnut flared pants with a bodycon turtleneck top in a mustard floral print. An olive aviator jacket rounds out the look. I’m so used to her trademark grunge-glam aesthetic that I can’t help but be surprised by the decade-centric vibe of this look. I love seeing her explore new genres, but I find myself wishing she had swapped in one more modern piece as a juxtaposition to update the styling. Next up is a look at off-duty flawlessness as she serves up a track pants and jacket set done in classic black with white messaging. A crop top gives this look a sexy spin, while her mid-height pony is both functional and polished. I’ve always loved this hairstyle for her and it complements this look perfectly! White sneakers would be the perfect way to put a punchy exclamation point on this sporty look.
