I swear I am done with August fashion after this :)...does that make you happy or sad? Maryse decided to switch up the bodysuit era by giving us some throwback style. This sequined sheath is the kind of piece she would have slayed around 2010 and she proves the look has staying power, as it looks just as fabulous now! There's one detail that makes this piece super special - and sexy! - the boatneck. This wide silhouette helps to accentuate and show off the shoulders and it adds a classic-meets-modern spin to this bodycon dress. Rather than complete it with OTK's, Maryse went for fierce, strappy sandals, which brought a bit of attitude to the glam - something Maryse excels at! I'm always all in for this kind of look. Always :). Brandi is out and about proving she knows more than just street-style. She slayed the heck out this ring gear look, pairing a crystal-encrusted bustier top with black leggings and OTK's. Shhhaaaaaa-zaaam! This is like a How You Do Ring Wear clinic of an outfit and it's basically the first time she's stepped out of an announcer's role. Like...omg: can you see why I'm going ape over her being on Impact tv every week? If she's starting out like this, where oh where is she going to take Impact fashion next? Also on the list of things I'm all in for always are great graphic tees. I'm picky about my graphics; it has to say just the right thing: not too off-the-moment, not too dull, not to sweet. More timelessly rebellious. This "Nuit Noire" tee (by BCBGeneration [id by fashionofthedivas.tumblr.com] but sadly sold out) worn by Summer fits the bill. We don't get to see what she paired it with, but I'm thinking black skinny jeans and ankle boots would work ;). Also noteworthy is her pretty and complex updo; the juxtaposition between her casual tee and fancy hair is completely, carelessly fabulous. This eye-catching slipdress which Lana wore recently is an incredibly unique piece: the crisscross design makes it work almost like a wrap dress, but it gives the illusion of being fashioned out of a single piece of fabric - how seductive is that? Classic pieces done in an unusual way are everything. Her prim topknot suits the formal feel of this dress beautifully, while her gold choker amps up the 90'svibe. The whole ensemble is stellar. I do confess though to getting a bit weary of those shoes. They're fab, but I could def get behind something else now - fierce laser cut booties, or perhaps even totally commit to the updated grunge-glam vibe and go with ivory sneakers and a full length trench draped over her shoulders. Eva Marie buzzed onto our radar with this neutral tie-dye tee, which she paired with cutoff denim shorts. Eva tends to lean toward the dramatic with her style, but this look is a bit more conservative and it still comes off quite fabulous. Admittedly, her metal-embellished ankle cuff sandals have a lot to do with that ;). A fierce shoe like this can really kick a simple look into high gear. The last time Renee wore this purple suede statement biker jacket, she paired with a boho-leaning embroidered maxi skirt. The jacket was the counterpoint to free-spirited femininity. This time around, the piece is set against a look with a bit more edge: a black slim top and leather leggings. It works just as well - if not better ;) - Exhibit's 45184156 in my case for why every girl should own a curated but still sizeable collection of jackets. A black choker completes the look. Also, scrunchy faces at the camera person who caught an angle that made her cute bob cut look so harsh..what up with that? Please pay closer attention to your moments of snapping, photographing peoples! Renee's cut is always so cute! Got it? Always. So never make it look un-cute again. Grazie! Nikki looks like an angel (ok,a modern, somewhat high-maintenance designer angel {and I love it!} but still..) in this all white ensemble from Jonathan Smikhai. The delicate, graceful quality of this coord set is enhanced by her choice to pair it with the slimmest-strapped sandals (by Giuseppe Zanotti). The white background and black scrollwork help this impression along. She gets serious props for making a non-professional photo look like something out of a magazine spread. The whole look comes across soft and well-edited, very pure and so beautiful in a hushed way. It's unfortunate that we didn't get a full frontal shot of this look from Brie, as there's a lot to appreciate in this ruffled one-shoulder pantsuit from Jonathan Simkhai (id by fashionofthedivas.tumblr.com). In addition to the obvious ruffle detail, there's a mesh panel at the side which can just barely be seen here and the ruffle continues, cascading down one leg, which is slit open from thigh to ankle. While I’m not usually a fan of the double leg slits, I loooove this look: it’s tasteful, beautiful, intriguing and sexy all rolled into one. I’m thinking white or nude heels to finish this look. Her rose-mauve make-up palette is ttly on point – the romantic colors complement the soft femininity of the white and ruffle perfectly. Her delicate pointer finger ring is a lovely addition, making a chic, subtle statement. And lastly – few Bellas Quick Hits. In which we note that sometimes, the fab fashionistas do wear the same look twice and/or share clothes. Also, that once Brie apparently wore an afghan…ok, afghan-like sweater. I get the whole artisanal vibe here. I really do. I just also feel like this piece goes a little too far into territory where fashion shouldn’t stray. The est of the outfit is fab as usual though, with that fringe bag being a standout piece. Lastly, remember years ago when the Bellas used to do the twinning thing all the time? So, welcome to déjà vu, as the ladies wore this pretty printed maxi from Meghan Fabulous (id by fashionofthedivas.com). Brie went with burgundy, while Nikki chose blue (and added a leather choker and fierce booties). It’s kind of fun seeing them go all matchy :)
