Emma explored some casual looks before returning to fierceness during her Emmalina era. She and Renee did a twinsies look, pairing distressed blue denim with an Elton John baseball tee. Both ladies completed the look with boots. While I love the classic color combo and the laidback vibe, both of these feel just a bit bland to me. I'd have loved to see a spicy detail - fiercer boots, a half-tucked shirt and a statement belt...just a touch of something. Emma does essentially that in her next outfit, pairing a "love" tee with distressed denim and lace-up booties. I love the extra punch the shoe choice adds! Peyton Royce (at right) stayed simple and minimal with a cropped white tank and skinny denim. Boots finish off her unexciting look. Billie Kay (at left) got more creative with a tied white shirt topping worn denim. She went for strappy sandals as an exclamation point, along with a slim metal collar. Her look is casual, but polished and interesting, primarily due to her unique choice of top and just-right combo of uncomplicated but trendy pieces. Emma was back to the bikinis in this leaf-print halter two-piece from Show Me Your Mumu. The scale of this print is excellent for her - not too massive and overwhelming, but still bold. The peach-cobalt-mint-emerald color combo is super pretty and fun. The verdant setting really makes it pop, too! Among my favorite shots from the Emmalina era is this next one: a wedgewood blue v-neck bodysuit, paired with the same lace-up booties Emma rocked during her night out with Billie and Peyton. She gets huge props for her dark, smoldering make-up that makes this gorgeous, bright summer scene come alive with fierce, sensual energy. Denim shorts could be added to this look for casual styling, while a sheer maxi skirt would work as a fashion-forward alternative, depending on the event. If said event was such that a sheer-over-bodysuit approach would be frowned upon, a pleated mini skirt would be super cute and bring movement and volume to this sleek bodycon piece. The late winter-early spring period saw Jojo doing what she mostly does: slaying a wide variety of mini dresses during her tv appearances. Several of them really stood out. This chocolate knit piece caught my eye because of the unusual color - I love the luxuriousness of this warm neutral! Jojo added brought the fierce with OTK's and a wide leather belt, catching the earliest moments of that trend. +1, girlfriend! And then, this: a black spaghetti-strap dress, sprinkled with brass studs? Oh, yaaaaaaasss! A dash of rocker vibes is never a bad thing! Ever. Biker jacket on top, booties on the bottom (go chunky punk or refined pointy-toe - either is fab!) and BOOM, done. Let the slayage commence. This last piece immediately got my attention because of the aaaaaamazing color - this hyacinth purple is incredibly rare and looks stunning! The strapless, bandage silhouette is just icing on the cake. I love Jojo's choice to interject a cool, grounding dose of black into this sweet look, via her ankle-wrap pumps. The dash of sexiness and edge is perfect for WWE or date night. For a wedding or meet-and-greet, I'd lean toward a light beige or nude heel, although you could be daring and go with a pretty pastel ;).
Noelle caught my eye with what is becoming her signature combination - a mini dress and sneakers. In this iteration, she used a monochrome palette, made interesting by the lacy details on her dress, the formality and femininity of which contrasts with the sporty, casual vibe of her sneakers. It's not groundbreaking, but it has an attractive visual tension that's cute and stylish and worth making note of. Michelle showed off her look during a recent date night, wearing the Sierra Lace Crop Top and Maxi Skirt set from Nightcap Clothing (ID by mccooldaily (MMDaily.com). The piece is done in navy blue lace, lined nude (skirt has a partial lining), which a lovely alternative to the more common black-over-nude. The elastic waistband lets the skirt be set higher or lower, depending on preference. Michelle's higher setting give the piece a trendy, modern Golden-Age look. Her refined bun, nude choker and trademark statement bangle all combine to elevate this set - I hope she got to go somewhere fancy in this super-pretty look! :). Her next stand-out outfit takes me straight back to the LayCool style I always loved, but with an au courant update. There's a certain, satisfying "coming-home" vibe I always get when Michelle releases looks like this *warm fuzzies*. Distressed skinny denim and OTKs (so far, so LayCool) are the underpinnings for a cropped tee and black bomber jacket (shove over, Kendall). I love the edited boldness and attitude of this combo. Some days, nothing but black-on-black will do. Thanks to clear not letting her style skills rust, Michelle is still flawless at showing how to take a look we loveD and make a look we lovE rn. Her whippy ponytail just makes this look that much cuter - and the playfulness lightens up the dark vibes just a smidge.
