If anyone had sold me on the jumpsuit lately, it's Natalya! How completely AMAZING does she look in this black halter-neck piece?! Ogh..I'm wild over this look! It's so simple, but so impactful! The wide, flowing legs create the feel of easy luxury, while the keyhole is super-sexy! The halter style highlights her shoulders, creates her curves and looks incredibly fierce! She accessorizes it perfectly with an understated gold bracelet. I love even more that she wore her hair in a smooth, polished ponytail. It accentuated the simple sophistication flawlessly! The chic was strongly in evidence in her next outfit, as well. She paired a basic black tee with black pants and then topped it with a magnificent ruffle and zipper accented leather jacket from Alexander McQueen. We've seen her wear this piece in a similar way before - as the exclamation point on a simple outfit - and it's a perfect application for this fabulous piece. It would also lend itself to more complex stylings, which is why a wonderful piece like this is a great investment. As with any truly great design, this one will be chic and current for decades. She adds additional iinterest and sophistication with a Louis Vuitton scarf in a vibrant navy. I love the deep blue and black combination; it's a beautiful, mature and intricate twist on black monochrome. Big sunnies add the perfect final touch. Natalya has always loved green and I have never seen her do it in such glorious fashion as she did here, in what looks to be a BTS from a photoshoot (do we ever get to see the whole thing? Pretty please! I can always use more slayage in my life! First, this gown is fantastic! It's simple, but dramatic, with a high leg slit and bold side cutouts, filled with excellently-done illusion panels. It reprises the halter-style that has worked so successfully for her in the past. This stunning kelly green is the most apropos shade I've ever seen her take a turn in. She added a gorgeous does of glam with a crystal statement necklace. I also love her choice to pop the look with a bright pink lip - it balances the rich color of the dress better than a receding nude shade and adds a lovely pop. The conservatory that this snap was done in is a magnificent backdrop for this dress. The greenery and furniture don't distract from the dress, but the luxe fabrics and delicate greenery add texture and contrast. The coup de grace is Nattie's glamorous pose. I love everything about this! Noted: Nattie pulled out the incroyable black gown that took her to the top of our 2012 Hall Of Fame Fashion Review for the holidays and it looks as amazing as ever! Witness that staying power of the classic LBD! She added a fun variation by knotting the waist sash at the front instead of in a massive bow at the back. I love the softness and on-trend feel of that tweak. Statement earrings completed the look.
We see her Vuitton scarf employed again in her next outfit, which pairs a more laidback LBD - a knit bodycon piece - with knee boots. She gets Fierce points for a perfetc choice of shaft height. There should always be at least a few inches between the top of your boots and the dress' hem (more is fine, but not less). OTKs would have been too tall here; Nattie wisely goes for knee-height (boots x Stuart Weitzman). She tops the look with a fringed leather jacket - the fringe is an unexpected choice from Natalya, but I like the way it works against this mostly monochrome styling. It's not overwhelming or flamboyant. A half up-do maintains chic, casually luxe vibe. Her next shot is a too-fun snap of her "playing dress-up". While I could do without the head scarf, I'm sure she would upgrade the positioning if she actually styled this stunning dress this way. And that she'd swap out those harsh black pumps for light, pretty sandals. But it's clear she's just having fun here, so who cares about details! ;) Her dramatic pose deserves a callout here, though - I loooove it! It's right out of her maven vixen Divas of Destructions days and I really hope she's got a copy in her inspiration file for her next 'shoot because I need to see it again! Lastly, if you wondering why TJ is so good at nailing his formal looks, wonder no more! Nattie revealed on Instagram that she helps him pick out his suits. Don't you just love this fabric?! I love that she mentioned tailoring because it's an important option for every style aficionado to be aware of. It's not something you need for every piece, but for special ones that need to fit just right, or for special occasions, a good tailor is literally your BFF. They can add or change linings (useful if the piece is too sheer or the included lining is too sheer), shorten hems (no more tripping over excess fabric), tuck waists (the tailor here is making sure this suit creates the ideal broad-shoulder/tapered waist masculine look on TJ), shorten sleeves and so much more! It's not easy to find a good one these days, but it's worth doing some excavating. And when you find one, tell everyone! Help keep said tailor in business...and flourishing!
