As promised, a closer look at Steph's outfit is at the far right. This pic really shows off how well it's put together! I'm completely loving this outfit from Mandy as well! She pairs a white cropped turtleneck with blue jeans, gives it a touch of flash with her Hermes belt and then makes it totally winter appropriate with her faux fur vest. The lightness of this still-wintry color palette, as well as the casual glamour of the styling makes it an instant hit with me! Her make-up is soft and natural and creates a girl-next-door vibe and her high ponytail is super-cute! That's one of my favorite placements for a pony - it's polished, fun and sp pretty! Michelle may not be wrestling any more, but she's clearly kept abreast of fashion trends in a way that would be totally LayCool-approved! She pairs black leggings, which were a fave of hers throughout that era with a slouchy olive sweater, draped off of one shoulder for a sexy vibe. She added an of-the-moment choker to keep the look trendy and finished it with her Louis Vuitton Seduction boots that took the Divas' Fashion Universe by storm back in 2010 when she debuted them. They're proof now that a classic never goes out of style and the zippered details (which allow the boots to switch betwen ankle, knee and OTK height) add a distinctive edgy fierceness to this casually trendy look. The only thing on my wish list is that Michelle ease up on the braids a tad; they're pretty, but in this case look the tiniest bit harsh ..and she's been doing variations of them almost nonstop since April. Maria was also feeling the casual feels in this October snap, where she paired a simple black tee with gray distressed denim. I'm a fan of the unique color choice of her jeans; it makes a fun change-up! She layered a multi-striped shirt over tee for warmth and an unusual way to play with both color and proportion (love that!) and then topped the look with a black leather biker jacket. Finally, she added a big pop of color with red ankle boots! The whole theory of this outfit completely works for me. In practice, I might have leaned toward a solid red, red stripe or red plaid shirt to infuse the color throughout the outfit. But the basic principles work perfectly. (And PS, you could mellow out the drama a touch by going with black boots, if you wanted to create the look without the boldness of red footwear.) Woops - I have one last October holdout ! But it's so worth it: a look at what Velvet wore to a Halloween day KISS concert. It's a look we'd expect from Vel - a black graphic tee paired with destroyed denim, just the kind of thing she'd have torn up a photoshoot in during her Impact days. Who else misses those? Sigh. The only twist seems to be that she's switched her platform heels for practical and hot leather boots, something I'm totally on board with this time of year.
Brie and Nikki got together for this snap, which is unfortunately rather dark. Nikki's look appears to be the same one she wore at the Churchill War Rooms, so I'll break it down in detail next FH. As a synopsis, it combines a black blouse and maxi skirt with a burgundy fur stole. Brie's outfit is easier to discern, which is fabulous because it's a fun one! She layers a white button-down tunic under a gray knit dress for a polished, Brit-prep vibe. Tights add warmth and a smooth transition to her OTK boots. I absolutely love this look: it's chic, refined and unique, making it one to file away in the To Be Borrowed Fashion folder! I love her hair long and loose, but a bun would work brilliantly with this look as well. Next, it's on to the Bellas' choices as they promo'd their Total Bellas series, which debuted on E! on Oct. 5. Brie chose a fold-over off-the-shoulder sweater in burgundy paired with a matching knit pencil skirt (it really does match - the lighting in this pic is just odd). The silhouette and pairing have a casual-luxe 70's vibe. As a fun side note: fold-over designs like this often can be rolled higher or lower to let you control the amount of skin you show. She adds a slim, coordinating choker and lightens the outfit with beige suede boots. I adore the way she has her hair here - the side waves add volume and look absolutely gorgeous on her! Nikki also went the off-the-shoulder route, pairing a dramatically low-necked top with blue denim and black OTK's. Naturally, she completed the look with a choker; they are *the* necklace to wear atm! :) Her dark lips enhanced the drama of this already daring look. Super-deep berry tones can be either amazing or frightening, depending on how they're used and I love how Nikki worked them here - they add a grungy rock n' roll attitude to this outfit.
