The ladies of WWE gave us a huuuuge range of fashion as they attended ComicCon this summer. Noelle kept things simple and straightforward by pairing a deep blush cropped halter top with a black pencil skirt. It’s nicely polished and put together for this kind of event and consequently gets a thumbs up from me. We don’t get to see her shoes, but blush sandals would seem to be the most intuitive choice. I can also see adding a touch of hardware with a chain-handled bag for a little extra va-voom. Renee styled leather overalls in a unique way, leaving one side un-buckled for a drapey, casual twist on the standard approach. She layered a bright graphic tee below. Since her styling made her overalls more casual, I think I would have preferred the contrast of a fancier top – a bright silk button-down, multi-color striped tee or band-collared blouse -, but this shade of intense aqua looks marvelous on Renee. I also give her massive props for the creative silhouette. She completed the look with peep-toe ankle boots for just the right dose of fierce. I was shocked to see Becky choose such a formal piece as this metallic jumpsuit; it’s a far cry from the casual attire she often reaches for. It’s not inappropriate, however, and I’m really excited to see her in something so daring. The one-shoulder detail gives it a nice touch of uniqueness and the space-age vibe is quite intriguing. The only thing on my wishlist is that she had finished the look with the grounded fierceness of black: an ankle strap pump, pointy ankle boots, strappy sandals. Charlotte was gorgeous in this cobalt blue mini dress with its fluttery front. I love how perfect this piece is for her body shape; she’s really solidified her game on that front over the last year or so. This type of dress, with its boxier silhouette, really looks best when it’s quite short. The piece accomplishes that while concurrently maintining its professionalism via the high-low hem. Charlotte’s Maddye boots ( x Steve Madden) complete this look in soft, summery style. A number of wrestling’s ladies have been sharing fun stories on Instagram and beyond. Charlotte took a moment to talk about her transition from the hesitant girl in her first photoshoot into the Queen she is today. While she admits that posing is still sometimes a challenge, it’s easy to see how incredibly far she has come! My favorite part is her answer to the question of what she would say right now to the Charlotte of then. Brandi devoted one of her blog posts to explaining not only the story of her Garden of Eden-themed main gear, but also the extra special set with golden polka dots she debuted in the summer. I became a wrestling fan too late to see Gold Dust in action, so her story was a nice catalyst for me to go do some research and watch some classic matches. It makes her tribute that much more poignant. Additionally, I loved the fashion statement of her gear in its own right. Her updated silhouette and addition of a sprinkling of tiny crystals gave the look modernity and freshness, as well as being a fitting homage to her late father-in-law. We don’t have a particular story to accompany Alicia’s meet-and-greet event look, but her clothes always seem to have a stirring tale within themselves. This pairing of an LBD topped with a gorgeous fitted jacket tells of the chic side of her fashion sensibilities, a facet I always adore seeing! She kept the look all-black by completing it with t-strap pointy pumps and added a hint of metallic with the unusual lariat necklace we’ve seen her employ periodically. I’m head-over-heels for the sophistication of this look, done –as always – with that signature Foxy plot twist. We caught a look at Gail out and about in a fabulous white dress, made special through lace-up stitching that crosses the bodice and cascades down one side. I love how it makes the piece super-sexy, even though it reveals very little! While black shoes are the obvious and perfectly appropriate choice to finish this look, in the current fashion environment, I’d have gone for pure white :). Gail also shared this fan-made collage of a photoshoot from several years ago (I remember going wild over it in the review when it came out!). If the Lady-in-Red-in-a-red-room premise didn’t clue you in, she confirms that the snaps were inspired by the Nikita tv series (the most recent interpretation of the classic film) and credits Christy Hemme as having come up with idea. I can’t be anything but grateful and thrilled that she did and that Gail executed it so spectacularly. Good times indeed!
