Mid-February found Nikki in this stunning Ronnie Kobo dress, which is perfectly simple, except for its daring cutout back! I love the way the drama of this piece is concentrated around that single detail! Nikki enhanced the effect by wearing a station pendant necklace set to the back; it’s an incredible and perfect choice that looks fabulous and works flawlessly. It also reminds me of the way Coco Chanel wore her pearls dripping down her back in one of her most famous portraits, which does nothing to dissuade me from adoring Nikki’s styling. She added red statement earrings that bring out the colors in the necklace, as well as a black Louis Vuitton bag. We don’t get to see her shoes, but I’m guessing pointy pumps in black or red :). She’s repping Birdiebee in her next look, with the most vintage of snaps. Posed in front of a red theater curtain, she wears a white brassiere and high-waisted brief from the line, topped with a two-tone faux fur jacket. I love the backstage-chanteuse connotation and nostalgic vibe of this shot – it’s gorgeous! If that snap from Nikki isn’t enough glamour to slay your life, how about this one from Noelle? She’s enjoying a slice of pizza while looking thoroughly fabulous in a ballgown featuring an embellished bustier-type top and a black-and-white striped skirt. She’s topped the look with a cropped faux fur jacket in black and added a statement bracelet to complete the ensemble. Her messy bun is straight up gorge – she needs to wear her hair like this more often! I’m also totally here for her dark cranberry lip, which adds a very modern moodiness to this chic ensemble. I love this shot and I will be adding “eat pizza in a ballgown” to my Must Do In This Lifetime list because of it :). Noelle also registered a recommendation for this Showpo workout set, one which I paid heed to because she specifically called it out as being ..wait for it…not see through…in white! Whoa…mindblown over here. She briefly discussed the difficulty of finding non-see-through workout-wear (feel ya, girl! Is anything non-see-through in white these days?)) Well, apparently these, as Noelle proved via photographic evidence. I am going to have to try those stat.
I loved this look from Mckenzie the instant I saw it…even though we only got to see half of the look. Fiiiiiiiine-aally, we get to see the whole thing and it’s does justice to my every wish. She paired this magnificent white confection of a blouse (from Steps NY) with medium wash distressed blue denim (by Vigo USA). This is so modern and on-trend and yet has a classic vibe as well. It’s also hella chic! She completed the look with massive silver statement earrings and a striking low ponytail with beachy waves – the perfect sleek/soft accompaniment to the practical/feminine interplay of her outfit. Love, love, love. Renee was up to her usual eclectic styling with this Raw look which paired leather leggings with a cami and a polished black vest. There’s an interesting contrast between the rock-n’-roll attitude of the leggings and the office-meets-haberdasher refinement of the vest which I like. Renee finished the look with black combat boots. I love seeing the use of flats, but I think I might have preferred a heeled boot with this look for a little extra fierceness. She smartly kept the jewelry minimal, adding only a subtle pendant that added a feminine shimmer while letting the rest of the look have center stage. Two looks from Danielle finish up our February fashion (can you believe it? :s). First up is a polo-shirt dress that caught my eye because of the fantastic teal shade that it’s done in – so gorge! Styled as Danielle has, with the open collar and massive sunnies, it’s perfect for warm weather adventures. She employed the waist-tie detail to add a little definition to the silhouette and completed the look with caramel suede lace-up booties. I love the ode to nature they create, although I might have been tempted to go with a bright white pair myself :). Lastly, she gave us an athleisure ensemble which paired a cropped yellow (*heart eyes*) hoodie wth black skinny jeans and black pointy ankle booties. The bottom half of the look is basically every fashion blogger’s transitional go-to, mainly because it works with just about anything. Summer injects a spring vibe by choosing the bright yellow top and I love her for it. If yellow isn’t your thing, bright melon, orange, lime, coral, magenta or hot pink would all have a similar affect. And an oversize sweatshirt (hoodie or not) would work just as well as this cropped version.
