Unless you've been sequestered for a jury trial or on a social media blackout over the weekend, you probably know: Lana and Rusev got married!!!!!!! :) Don't you just love weddings? And don't you just love wedding FASHION even more? There was plenty of it...and we've got it! The pre-wedding festivities kicked off the night before and featured Natalya, Renee and the Bella twins, in addition to the gorgeous bride. Natalya's navy taffeta gown was a highlight of the night! It's a spot-on choice for a fancy occasion. It's beautiful, modest, appropriately formal, a perfect color and a chic silhouette. Straight up, it's flawless! Nikki chose a scalding red dress with a thigh-high front slit. I love the belt on this piece; it defines her waist beautifully and plays up the stylish vibe of this sexy dress. She completed the look with strappy back sandals that have become a favorite of hers lately. Renee went with a free-spirited print maxi dress. The piece exudes easy chic and has a wonderful blend of mixed neutral colors. My favorite part of this look is the way she elevated the dress by pairing it with strong, trendy ankle strap heels. This look would have been much more casual if paired with chunky wedges or espadrilles. These heels make it wedding-appropriate. Brie also chose a print: a perky pink floral coord set comprised of a cropped top and ruffled skirt. The silhouette of her top is so pretty and unusual! Brie enhances the feminine, flirty aesthetic of this look with ice pink lips ... and a cute, slightly shorter hairstyle! I'm on board for Brie's new hair - it's such a fun change! Lastly, I'm drooling over her triple strap silver heels. Omg, how fantastic are those?! Lace was a major theme for Lana's special and she gave us a first taste of it here, with this artisanal lace-paneled mini dress. The mix of textures in this piece is wonderful: it's frothy and modern, and nods to bridal romance as well. She finished the look with classically chic minimal strappy heels. We also got a quick peek at the bride-to-be whirling on the beach in another lace number which included this fabulous skirt and train. Lana looks thoroughly joyful in this daydream-come-to-life moment :) It was maxis, maxis, everywhere for the big event itself! Renee went with a more formal floral print of pink lilies set against a lovely lemon yellow background. This piece is airy and summery and a delightful for choice for a semi-formal warm weather wedding. Nikki's choice was a dramatic black maxi dress from Solace London (ID by fashionofthedivas.tumblr.com). Like her red dress, this piece featured a belt as a special, defining detail. With it's deep-v and backless silhouette, this dress is magnificent and totally fierce! In many hands, it's would be a bit too sexy for a wedding, but Nikki makes it work well by pairing it with subtle accessories. Brie went with a peach and white print "maxi" formed from a romper-style design with a skirt attached. That combination makes it unabashedly modern, while the halter silhouette and waist tie create a slightly 70's vibe. Brie completed the look with strappy white wedges. Like Renee's dress, this lighthearted, romantic piece is a lovely summer wedding option. Natalya's hi-low blush dress is a charming, floaty choice which both looks gorgeous and is just right in terms of formality. This blush color is fashion's darling atm and the sweetheart neckline has a classic sophistication. Natalya completed the look with chic pumps and a polished ponytail. I love how simple and dressy this look is! And now...to the lady of the hour! Lana gave us soooo many teases about which dress she would finally go with, but she picked flawlessly. This lacy halter gown is right out of a bridal fantasy! The delicate, scalloped straps, the slight mermaid styling, the sensuous silhouette, the frothy train and, especially, aaaaall that stunning lace: there's not a single aspect of this gown that isn't magnificent. And it looks divine on her! Fitted to perfection and gliding over all her curves, it makes Lana look like a glistening, unearthly queen. She went with a glamorous crystal encrusted headband in lieu of a veil and an elegant, knotted half up-do that complemented the intricacy of her dress perfectly. Touches of crystal jewelry carried the sparkle throughout her look. Her make-up palette ranged from soft taupes to earthy rose hues that looked both glamorous and soft, creating a gentle shine while enhancing Lana's natural beauty. Silver mirror metallic ankle strap heels made the final piece of perfection in an impeccably romantic look. Lana looks as radiant and joyful as very bride dreams of being on her special day. And that makes us ecstatic :)
If that wasn't enough to have you swooning, stay tuned :)...the bride switched to a lacy hi-low look for the after-ceremony dancing. More on that to follow :) Lana's wedding was also full of special and spectacular elements that made it very personal and unique - just what a wedding should be! First was the elephant and circus theme that was incorporated throughout the event. The beach setting took on the character of an exotic desert, while the red and gold set pieces brought in the luxury-infused drama we've seen Lana use with abandon in her photoshoots. She noted on her Instagram that she chose the elephants particularly, as she loves their symbolism of strength, longevity, cooperation and wisdom. Her color scheme really caught my attention - it's so different! I completely adore this mix of searingly bright shades: orange and cerise gerberas, mango-and-orange roses, lime hydrangeas and touches of mauve heather, all paired with cool turquoise (seen in her sister's bridesmaid dress and in the fabric wrapped around the canopy beneath which the ceremony took place. The intense shades set against the mesmerizing blue background is marvelous and alluring, adding to the opulent, otherworldly feel of the event. What a glorious theme and aesthetic! Lastly, our congratulations to Rusev and best wishes to Lana: may the happiness of this day be with you both for all the days to come!
