For anyone wondering where th I have been, weebly decided not let me edit posts for the last 2 days, so I've been stuck here, staring at fashion and unable to yabber about it. OMG, I thought torture was illegal? Ooook, so atm I can edit...therefore: let us fashion! Right after the killer fashion of WrestleMania, the Bellas & Co. segued straight into another serious fashion event - the Alice and Olivia fashion show. And oh my, what a treat we're in for :). Renee's look for the night was all about white, as she paired a plunge-neck crop top with a side-slit maxi skirt. The look was minimalist, but trendy, especially accented with a long, slim pendant necklace for a touch of Alice & Olivia's boho vibe. She finished it with an oval statement ring and black lace-up stilettos for added punctuation. I also am completely in love with her make-up here; this look is an A+ for Renee. The pinky-tan shades are warm and glowing and she looks AMAZING. Paige had a very 70's vibe going with this halter crop top and wide-leg pants in a classic black-and-white combo. I love seeing her step outside of grunge-mode and this style is very current, while still looking at home on Paige. It has a sultriness and maturity fishnets and denim lack and makes a fabulous style change-up. Nikki and Lana both wore this rather amazing beaded jumpsuit. It's a really fun piece that blends a hint of sexy (via the spaghetti straps and v-neckline) with a super-hot silhouette. All the beading is a fantastic way bring some very modern shine to the 70's-darling pantsuit. Nikki styled it with a high bun, smoky eyes and nude lips for a mod, fierce look, while Lana left her flowing and accented it with rose lips for a sweeter, more laidback glam. Nikki's hi-low ruffled dress is yet another winner. First, that gorgeous cobalt blue is a serious eye-catcher! Next, the ruffles and sheer skirt bring massive femininity to this piece, along with a lot of beautiful rippling and fluttering. The low scoop neck creates the va-va-voom that is a trademark of Nikki's style. Long, loose hair, flipped to one side gives this whole look a sense of gracefulness and movement that's very alluring. Brie's look combined the idea of a modern coord set with Old Hollywood glamour, as her floral printed crop top combined with a sheer, floral tulle maxi with a thigh-high slit. The play on right-now vs old-school works really well, making this set unique and interesting, as well as artistically pleasing. The lighting makes Brie's shoes a bit tricky to ID, but I'd bet they're a variant of the Dina heel. As you may have guessed, the preponderance of the pieces above are from Alice and Olivia, a brand the Bellas have been steadfast fans of for several years. The pieces tend to have a modern-femme feel, with a lot of beauty, a bit of risk and hints of glamour and boho...so you can see why the Bellas love them ;) Getting to see all the ladies embrace the show and the fashion was crazy fun and I hope they get to more of this! Charlotte wore this burgundy lace gown to a recent red carpet event. I love the rich shade of the red lace and it's one of the few colors I really enjoy seeing above a nude lining. Although I would have preferred the lining to extend all the way down - somehow dresses often look un-finished to me when partially lined like this, even though it's a super hot look rn-, the overall simple, but luxurious statement of this piece works well. It doesn't top her WrestleMania gown in my book, but it's an excellent choice.
Brie gave this printed romper a 90's touch with the addition of a velvet choker, accented by a tiny charm. The overall feel of the print is very muted, so I'm a fan of the way she added some pop with a statement ring and, especially, her bold eye make-up! The semi-sheer strawberry shade is a bold choice, but it works brilliantly as a way to enliven the look. Softer pink lips coordinate without taking anyway from the focal point of her eyes. Nikki made a simple, but strong statement as she paired this black curve-hugging top with the flowing, wide-leg Eloise pants from Alicia and Olivia. The intense red shade of the pants, their cut and the drapey-ness of the fabric - particularly when contrasted with the minimalist vibe of her top - is what give the look its punch! These pants have been a fave of the twins, with Brie also wearing them in the not-too-distant past. it's not surprising: they typify all that is good about the wide-leg style! Brie has worn this woven dress previously, giving it a down-to-earth vibe with ..I'll call them structured, but you might say "chunky" or even (eek) "clunky" :)... caramel heels. That wasn't my favorite styling of this versatile dress, so I'm thrilled to see this new variation. Brie added a statement cuff bracelet in a fabulous contrast shade of chrysoprase green. It also looks like she finished it with black buckle-detail booties. Yaaas. Soooo much fiercer than chunky sandals! She also pushed the boundaries with her make-up, accenting this look with a dusty plum lip. I really love how that shade coordinates with the rich, metallic tones of the dress! This outfit Charlotte wore to the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence is a long way from a burgundy lace dress, but she exhibits similar fashion chops! She plays with proportion, pairing a drapey hi-low top in a pretty shade of pale blue with skinny pants. Strappy statement sandals give this look the necessary punch...even without the glittering WWE Title belt ;)
