FashionHap: Mid-Apr '16 - BikiniFest & Becky

The ladies of Total Divas had fun earlier this month enjoying the ocean in some fab new bikinis (and monokinis ;), courtesy of Susan Holmes McKagan. If you're a Guns N' Roses fan, that last name may ring a bell. Yep, she's Duff's wife ;)...and a designer of super cool bikinis! 
Brie donned a truly fabulous two-piece with a bold, woven detail. A hint of metallic brought an extra dash of visual interest to this amazing piece. A string bottom completed the set. Brie styled it with intricate chandelier earrings and a gorgeous, rounded golden statement ring (ogh, loooooove that! #WantOne). She chose earthy-pinks for her make-up palette, complementing the dark neutral shade of her bikini in a subtle, but flawless way.
Nikki's pure white set got a madly cool update from the multi-wrap strings, featured at both the hips and waist. The white bikini is a classic, but the twisted, lace-up detail ramps the sexiness up considerably! That naturally makes it a perfect choice for Nikki's style.  Silver statement earrings finish off her look.
You can't be anything but smoking hot when you have a chili pepper dangling from your bikini! This cherry red number comes with a chili charm that suits Renee's funky, playful style sensibilities. This vibrant, iconic shade of red looks incredible on her...especially when accented with a scarlet lip!
I'm not sure what kind of coercion was required to sneak the Ravishing Russian into an American flag monokini, but whatever it took, it was worth it!  With her side French-braided blonde hair and this Land-Of-The-Free spirited bikini, Lana looks like a super-hot girl-next-door...or a present-day Farah Fawcett ;) If only she'd given us a sitting pose! (Next time? ;)) She completed the look with a cord lariat which not only coordinates perfectly, but enhances the Americana theme. It's fortunate that she's doing this in the USA instead of the Motherland; Russian winters would definitely not survive this look ;)

We also got a couple more peeks at Becky's developing style. One is a very casual take on the athleisure trend, selected for a visit to the Ballyboden St. Enda's Gaelic Football club. It looks a bit like soccer, but it's more complex...and I think I'll leave you to your own devices in terms of exploring it further, while I explore Becky's fashion. Her flowing white tank is edged with black, creating a simple but effective pairing with her black, flare-leg pants. She added a punch of color with bright sneakers that work perfectly with her hair (To ponder: how many times have I ever discussed shoes coordinating with hair color? Hmmm. :)) Her other look, worn to a Reading Celebration in Ireland, is a more complex, layering affair, which she handles quite well. Her fluttery top is a more feminine piece than we often see from her, but it gets toughened up by studded shoulders and OTK boots. A slim gold belt adds a touch of shine, while a fur-embellished cropped leather jacket completes the look with a wonderful play on proportion. I completely love how Becky mixed a number of textures here. Sheer, shine, smooth and fluffy create a lot of dimension and a compelling dynamic, while being harmonized by the nearly-monochrome palette. The outfit is different, and consequently quite risky, but she pulls it off nicely and that thrills me no end!
