Periodically, I have myself a nice little Bellafest around here and this is another one of those times. Never fear - there are plenty of other ladies and fab fashion to get to as well, but I'm kicking things off Bella style :). Brie and Nikki were recently on Good Morning America, showing off their stellat fashion sense. Brie wore this 70's-turned-now flowy, snowy pantsuit from Free People. I love the long, graceful lines of this piece - it's seriously chic! And, how easy does it make getting dressed in the morning? One and done :)...guess the LBD has a little competition. Brie finished off her monochromatic look with white pointy-toe pumps. Nikki went for a flowy look as well, with these wide-leg pants. The wide-leg style is wonderfully sophisticated, as long as the pant are well-tailored; you're looking for pieces that define the waist and hips and then soar outward from there. Nikki's pair is a great example. She matches this high-waisted style with a cropped, ribbed turtleneck. I'm very much on board with her choice of gray - it adds more dimension color-wise to the black, but still elevates the look by being cool and polished. She completes the style in one of my favorite ways (as discussed here :)): a bright pop of color! The classic red really makes this styling special. I'm a big, huge, massive fan of the ladies' dressing up and bringing the formality, but tat doesn't mean I'm not equally jazzed when the rock the Helsinki out of a casual ensemble. Brie's wordy 'Scorpio' tee has a high-fashion-gone-downtown feel, and it works brilliantly when paired with space-wash gray denim. Suede OTK boots make the perfect textural finish to this casual-met-fierce-and-poof-lovechild look. Also noteworthy is the way her stunning, glam rose-tinged yes and lips and warm this whole outfit and, again, bring the casual up a level. I'm still not down off my high over the fact that Maria is now with Impact, giving us a LOT more opportunities to check out her style...which runs the fashion gamut from end to end, as she demonstrates here. First up is a fantastic snowy-feathery mini dress with an embellished bodice that's soft and feminine but exuberantly happy at the same time! How could you not feel joyous and ready to fly, wearing this airy dress? She finishes it off with a touch more glam via gold sequined pumps. Her next look is nearly a polar opposite (woops - should I not say things like "polar" now that cold weather has taken us by storm? Woops again. I should just stop). This time, she goes with skinny jeans, matched with a diametrically opposite silhouette - a flowy pink top - in a flawless demo of how to experiment with proportion. She adds some structure - and star-worthy flash ;)- with a sequined jacket. Light-colored heels finish things off.
Next up is a red-dress-conjoined-with-nude-heels two-fer :). Eden and Eva chose the same color story here, but end up with different vibes because of the pieces they chose. I love this comparison because it shows how you can really make fashion show YOU, even when there are similarities to someone else's look. Eva has always been edgier in her style and she picked a cutout dress in a knit fabric that is undeniably modern and sexy. Cl peeptoe pumps with a can't-miss-it platform reinforce that vibe. Eden's mockneck sheath is devoid of cutouts and instead gets its uniqueness from pretty side panels. The silhouette clean and classic and is more to the body-skimming side than body-hugging. Pair that, as Eden has, with chic ankle-strap sandals and you have a perfect representation of Eden's style philosophy: classy and sophisticated. Two similar color pairings, but two different style genres...isn't that just the coolest? #LoveFashion Speaking of edgy, how about this lace-up dress from Lana? Wheeeew...hawt! I'd be very likely to slide a thermal tee, or even a button down, underneath this super-sexy dress. I love how she ups the femininity by adding gorgeous lace stockings, and brings some fierce with wardrobe-staple OTK boots. It's def Sex and The City around here, as we move from Lana's lace hosiery to Summer's full-on lace bodysuit. This look definitely has a Nikki Bella feel to it ;), especially with those black Louboutins!. Its actually from the end of December, but I wanted to call it out because I was yakking about Summer wearing a lace romper and here she is in a lace pantsuit, which is pretty dang close. Thanks for listening, girl..even if it was only a coincidence! :)
