The Bellas got into the Independence Day spirit about a month early and gave us a taste of some gorgeous red and white outfits...with the occasional touch of blue ;). Brie sported this pretty red mini dress in a lighthearted floral print. Set against the cherry red background, the delicate all-over print has a slightly vintage feel. Brie added a wide-brimmed straw hat, which makes her look like a wild English garden flower...especially with her bare feet! I love the sweetness and romance of this look. For outside the garden, it could be paired with ballet flats, ankle boots or espadrille wedges. Brie's next offering - spotted at a secret visit to a winery she and Nikki snuck out on while visiting family- is equally sweet and romantic: a fabulous lace-accented maxi dress with three-quarter sleeves. The soft scoop neckline is so pretty and the touches of lace create a frothy beauty. Brie finished the look with gray wedge booties - a great choice for walking about on grass, but a surprising match-up with this feminine dress. Nikki delved into her boho side again (who knew she was as much of a free spirit as Brie?! :) ) with this fantastic ruffles wrap skirt, dotted with exotic paisleys. The second print at the border makes this piece even more unique and interesting. Nikki topped it with an elbow-sleeve crop top with a plunge front silhouette. This vibrant red shade is amazing, and bring intensity and drama to the carefree skirt. Caramel lace-up sandals and a matching crossbody bag complete the look with a warm, earthy feel that enhances the bohemian shadings. Ever the glam girl, Maria created one of my favorite pairings during a recent TNA Impact show. She paired a black graphic tee with "Squad" emblazoned across the front (love that!) with a silver sequin mini skirt. This dynamic of laidback cool with ultra glam looks fierce af and Maria slays it. While a lot of ladies have been doing something similar with leather skirts recently, I applaud how Maria goes for the more daring sequin style. Fashion has lately been rediscovering that a little sparkle is always a good thing and I'm so jazzed to see Maria helping bring it back into the limelight! I'm envisioning this look completed by pointy toed black pumps or black strappy sandals.
Carmella has a real talent for bringing a NYC feel to her looks, even with casual ensembles. This is a classic example of basic elements, tossed together in just the right way so that they express stylish intent. She pairs a Beatles tee with jeans and a black leather jacket - all simple, iconic pieces combined to look careless. A knit hat makes a fun, quirky touch, while the chain strap of her bag brings in the needed dash of edge. This is a combo that calls out for boots as the finishing detail. If Natalya ever runs out of amazing LBD's, I know the world has officially run its course. This cutaway shoulder silhouette is one of my very favorites and looks aaaaaaahhhhmazing on her. It's clean-lined, minimalist and, in a quiet way, ...powerful! She completes it with a medium-width cuff bracelet, a polished top-knot bun and - best of all - scalding red pointy toe pumps! A pop of red against black is inescapably killer. Today, tomorrow, forever. The nonchalant grace of this look from Alicia immediately caught my attention. A cropped (or knotted full-length piece, if you prefer :)) tee paired with a maxi skirt is one of the most perfect summer looks ever invented. Foxy's done hers in a pairing of aqua and white that makes me think of foam-capped waves. Accents of peach at the waistband, taupe shoes and a chocolate messenger bag bring depth and grounding to the palette. This is the kind of easy chic that you need for strolling along boardwalks on vacation, taking in outdoor concerts or art shows, having lunch with your girls, shopping...so basically, 80% of summer activities :) Lana attended the CMT Awards in June in this incredible ivory slipdress. I'm freaking over every aspect of this look, including it's 90's throwback vibe. Although the silhouette is fairly simple, the sheen of the fabric makes it glamorous and elegant. The thigh-high slit brings modern drama, while the low-cut halter top is all about the sexy. Against the warmth of the dress' fabric, Lana set the strong statement of a slim, black bow choker and black, strappy sandals. The black and ivory combo carries all the punch of black and white, but in a more luxurious way. The medium-width of the straps grounds the rippling feel of the dress for a perfect textural balance. This entire look is magnificent. Take notes :).
