WWE recently complete a tour of Mexico and it gave us some cool fashion from Charlotte and Paige. Charlotte showed off her Divas' Championship belt while on the tour, but she also showed off a fabulous choice in this A-line top, which is completely fabulous! This is a tank-top style, but a very classy, upscale version, with a bandeau-esque shape at the top and a bit of a gather at the bust. I'm a huge fan of how substantial this material looks - not at all see-through. A weightier material will kiss your figure, but hold the garment's shape, rather than cling and you can see that that's exactly what happens here. This empire (pron: "ahm-peer") waist (a waistline that is set higher than the natural waist) is a wonderful style for Charlotte. It shows off the narrow part of her figure. The A-line shape then flows outward, which creates the classic hourglass shape. This is great if hips aren't your strong point (whether you don't have any or have more than you prefer :)). I like the black and white color combo, but somewhere down the bottom she wanders a bit off track: the flared styling is hot right now, but paired with chunky boots, it's looks a bit off, a bit early 90's. I'd have loved a skinny leg paired with either these chunky flat boots or pointy toe ankle booties, but I'd have leaned toward a platform sandal with these flares. She accessorizes flawlessly with a hint of sparkle at her neckline and her trademark bold watch. Paige created three separate looks, while mixing similar elements, which I love because it's how things get done here in the real world, by those of us who don't have a closet-full of sample options to pick from. Look #1 is a fringed black top matched with white jeans and brown chunky-heeled booties. It's a cute, basic everyday look. I'd love a brown handbag or leather wrap bracelet to tie it all together. Look #2 uses the same top, this time paired with black pants and the suede OTK boots that caught our favor in her recent Jemstones Flash shoot. A few simple changes make this style completely different from Look #1. It goes from casual -with a hint of boho- to rocker and fierce, just from the change to her pants and footwear. She swaps things up again on Look #3, choosing another black tank, this one with studs at the neckline. This one is my favorite of the three looks because of the pants she chose: a classic pleat-front cigarette style. This is a perfect demonstration of how pairing a piece with a different feel (formal with informal) makes the whole outfit appear chosen and deliberate, as opposed to just thrown together, which shows a true sense of fashion. We don't get much of a look at her shoes, but if these are pointy-toe booties or sandals, I'm in heaven! This would also be a great outfit to pair with modern flats.
