I love the color combination Brandi has going on in this look! The dusty peach of her flutter sleeve blouse looks incredible paired with this gray checked mini skirt! Peach tones with standard go-to black can sometimes feel too Halloween-inspired, but gray segues nicely around that issue. The business-like checks make a nice foil for the fluidity of her blouse sleeves. They also happen to be spot on-trend for spring, making Brandi officially ahead of the game, since she did this in November ;). Black ankle booties complete the ensemble. Even though she styled this for autumn, it’s a perfect transitional look for spring as well. She’s also been doing some fun things with her ring gear! Although we only get a look at the back of this catsuit she wore in November for Ring of Honor, we can see enough to realize that it’s jaw-dropping! The pure white piece is crisscrossed with tiny crystal boxes that all contain a larger crystal at their center. The pattern continues on the sleeves as well. This gear is FIERCE, no question! I love the color, the silhouette and the glamour of all that sparkle! I hope we get to see it again in the near future in a way where we can fully appreciate it. Brandi gave us a peek at a couple of her holiday looks: a sequined dress paired with suede OTK boots. We’ve seen this kind of combination quite often before, but I’m crazy over her choice of a rainbow-glittered piece. It looks amazing with her black accessories – they really set off the colors of the sequins – and it makes a fab allusion to the rainbow trend that’s beginning to gather steam in fashion of late. Her second look was all about the glitter as well and I love it just as much. This time, the classic silver holiday fare got an extra punch from the pairing with blush; the warmth of the pink is gorgeous against the cool sparkle of the silver. I’m also in for the textural play of her faux fur jacket and knit hat against the shimmer of her dress. I’m betting on blush pointy pumps or metallic silver sandals to complete this look. The whole wide world loves black, but still sometimes it’s fun to go for a lighter look, as Brandi did with this casual ensemble. She paired an ivory suede moto jacket with blue denim and beige suede OTK boots. Here, the doubling of the suede texture gives it extra power. I love how clean and fresh it feels – a real palette-cleanser at any time of year! Brie was repping Birdiebee in this late December Instagram snap. This look feel quite unusual for Brie in that it’s an amalgamation of a number of disparate themes. It gives me the idea that this was still when she was trying to get comfortable with dressing her new, post-baby body because she usually is so precise in her choices. Here, she tops a pink Birdiebee tank with a black leather bomber jacket. She paired the two with white distressed denim and add the fun touch of floral ankle boots to complete the look. She gave the snap a 90’s twist with the undie-reveal, which I would be totally against, except that I know she’s plugging her company :) – sometimes shameless marketing has to take precedence over FASHUN, right? :) MY favorite part of this look is her floral booties, so I was thrilled to see her rocking them again in her next look, which feel a lot more “Brie-ish” to me. Her boho sensibilities are back as she pairs another Birdiebee tank (again, tied, but centrally, instead of to the side) with a satin maxi skirt. The booties give this ensemble the pop of color that makes it come alive, while the knit cap accentuates the café-poet vibe. This whole look is super-fun! Her classic side got a turn in December, as well, when she wore this lovely navy lace dress. This piece is all about details: the beautiful fabric, the scalloped hem and the flared sleeves. It’s classic, feminine and modern all at once. Brie dressed it down by pairing it with beige knee boots – an excellent choice of height, which allows for a gap between the top of the boot shaft and the hem of her dress – but it could just as easily be dressed up with black ankle strap sandals or metallic pumps.
Brooke slayed a blend of elegance and sensuality in this sequin-embellished velvet bodycon dress. The look is straightforward: glamorous dress paired with classy and classic black pointy-toe pumps, but it works. This looks fierce! She then does an about-face and channels 70’s ease in this cropped taupe tee paired with flared jeans and platform sandals. The embellishment at the collar gives the look panache, as does my fave part of the look: her black felt fedora. The strength of the rest of the look’s style genre takes it from prim and polished to artsy and modern, making for a fun and unique take on this very traditional headgear! Brooke went even more chill for her next look and gave us a dose of athleisure as she paired dark wash denim (I looove the white whiskering at the hips on this pair!) with a minimalist black tank. This highly edited combo could go in almost any direction, but her bright white, hot ink and black sneakers guide it into sporty territory, acting as the focal point of the look and giving it the necessary pop. I love how this combination of basics puts a girl-next-door twist into athleisure. If this sheer-striped bodysuit looks familiar, that would be because Maryse wore it last summer for an event look. While Maryse brought classicism and luxe to the piece by pairing it with high-waisted wide-leg pants, Brooke gave it modern and attitudinal vibes by combining it with leather-panelled leggings. While I don’t love the visible-brassiere look, I do love how the black monochrome ties the various opacity levels of this look together and how powerful it looks! I’m also feeling significant love for her shoes. Black ankle strap sandals always get me good :). Overall, this is yet another win for Brooke and another fine example of her ability to genre-hop with competence and aplomb. Brava!
