There's been a definite injection of country-girl style into WWE since the return of Mickie James! She shows it off here as she pairs a pretty swing top, accented with sequins, with classic blue jeans and - what else? :) - cowboy boots! I love the softness of her top - the combination of floaty -ness and sparkle is delicate and playful. Mickie's choice of light blue denim complements it perfectly, keeping the whole look light, right down to those daring embellished boots. There's a lot going on here, but the soft, simple palette pulls it all together. Renee showcases a magnificent tuxedo blazer in this look from late January. This piece is classic and versatile because of its fit and colors, while the tuxedo lapel and black buttons are just the right touches to make it distinctive. She paired it with leather leggings, which add a fab tough vibe and a graphic tee - the only part of the look I'm sort of meh about. I love graphic tee for the casual urban cool it brings to an outfit but here, it feels just a smidgeon too casual. A plain tee (I'm thinking red to show off those lapels ;)) would have a similar effect, while harmonizing a bit more. She gets serious props for the smoky eye, though - I love the way they bring out the boldness and attitude in this outfit! The Royal Rumble was a veritable runway's-worth of killer fashion! The ladies slayed with look after look. Nikki's current era of sporty gear got a crisp, clean interpretation, with touches of red and black breaking the powerful simplicity of a white background. This gear shows exactly why a minimalist design can make such a definitive statment. Her bright cherry lip shade is the perfect extra shot of color.
Naomi's highlighter yellow mesh set is one of my favorite iterations of her gear for a similar reason: the carefully edited, confident fashion declaration. The scintillating color and the athletic-inspired texture make an intense, but totally fun, impact. A few solid bands at her waist and bodice underline and ground the look and that's all you need. It's intrepid, bright and awesome! It gets just a bit more awesome too: her AMAZING shimmery emerald eyeshadow! The way it modernizes this look with its unexpectedness and vibrancy is absolutely fantastic. Becky has slowly been working a more feminine slant into her gear lately. We've seen hints of it here and there, but she really embraces the idea fully with this black bustier with its lace overlay, done with an illusion halter. I have to say I was totally caught off-guard by such a romantic style from Becky! Which is not a bad thing at all :) Especially since she's savvy enough to temper the frills with plain white shorts and - my favorite addition - grommet-embellished boots! The hardware gives a great down-and-dirty contrast the softer fabric. Also noteworthy is the is gorgeous (and sexy!) cutout detail at her back. It's like Becky and fashion trends just caromed into each other and omg I am loving it! The surprise, the experimentation -it's all so very, very good. Way to go, Becks!
