It’s been a very magazine-kind of summer for all the WWE ladies…and former WWE ladies are getting in on the act as well. Barbie posted a few pics from her interview and spread with German lifestyle magazine Ajoure Men. One thing that struck me is the slight differences in styling between a European publication and an American one (this is noticeable when looking at Euro fashion bloggers like Romania’s Fabulous Muses too). While lace seems to be as huge a deal there as here, there are a lot more sequins involved than we’ve been seeing lately. Her first dress incorporates them –in a burgundy shade- in the skirt, along with a sating plunge-front halter top in a glorious shade of apple red. The two-tone coloring adds to the complexity of this piece and helps too make it a bit softer on the eyes, which works well. Her second look is a lace-and-satin mélange of an LBD. It has the cap-sleeve design which I always adore and I’m a huge fan of how this pieced look comes off unexpected and fresh. Her final look is an all-over sequin romper in a gorgeous shade of electric blue. This look benefits from the buoyant pairing with a hot pink lip. I’m also digging Barbie’s blowout and soft waves in these snaps! Summer also had a spread and interview in Maxim (read the interview here). The styling for these shots is ultra-edited and pared down: the pics feature Summer in a red strapless bikini, which gets a sexy twist from the series of side-slits. The use of the red trench coat tossed over her shoulders was a fabulous idea: it gives an au courant vibe and casual glamour to the look, as well as giving a bit of a teasing, peek-a-boo effect. The look is finished with nude pointy toe pumps, which work nicely. I can’t help sort of wishing that something a bit more dramatic – a lace-up, a strappy bootie, a Rocktud t-strap – had been chosen instead. A more complex shoe would have made a nice counterpoint to the in-your-face simplicity of the other pieces, especially with the solid sky blue background – which brings an appealing All-American girl feel to the shots. We also got another snippet of Michelle’s fashion: she attended a recent wedding in this printed one-shoulder dress with a knot detail at the collarbone. The 70’s nod of the one-shoulder is spot on-trend and I’m thrilled to see a classy length on this dress. Michelle can sometimes really push the envelope at formal events and while that’s appropriate at, say, Wrestlemania, a wedding is a time to be more subtle. She gets that and I love that about her! Her pulled-back hairstyle accentuates she shoulders – which are officially the new sexy, so Michi is spot on trend as always. The blondes go on in the FH, with Marsye’s striped romper from her vacation in the Bahamas. This piece is so perfectly casually chic, with it’s drapey silhouette, trendy stripes and feminine ruffles. Her lacy-bikini peeking out adds a touch of coquettishness, while black ankle-strap sandals finish things off with a bit of chic attitude. She used a gold pendant effectively to add a touch of shine – but just enough. It’s not loud or overdone, just carelessly glam. Her intricate braids are stunning, too! Also, you need to see this and this shot of holding baby pigs that live on a nearby island and and swimming with the adults. It’s like your daily shot of adorable. And, ok, I did manage to sneak a couple of brunettes in too ;). Nikki was indulging her love of coord sets again, specifically in white. This set differs from her previous similar look in that she went with an A-line skirt instead of a pencil. Her sporty crop top is by Helmut Lange and makes an interesting, athletic contrast to her more delicate windowpane-and-ruffle skirt. She popped the look with red suede Alice and Olivia Dina pumps and the intriguing choice of a floral bag. He floral provides an unexpected counterpoint to this look, with its artistry and myriad of colors, which I think the ensemble benefits from. Cats-eye sunglasses bring an additional touch of glamour. Maybe blue sequins are more of a thing here than I thought – Brandi wore an all-over sequined dress in cobalt blue as she took part in this recent wrestling event. And yes, she is in the act of laying the smack on an obnoxious wrestler who attempted to steal kiss. Note to self: steal Brandi’s style = yes. Steal Brandi’s kisses = oh hell no. I love love this color on her and you probably all know I don’t even try to hide that I’m massive fan of her classic-chic-glamorous-sexy style. This is fab example 96894 of what it looks like. And lastly, the ladies of WWE seem to be wanting to keep it summer as much as I do! They've posted a whole bunch of bikini snaps lately :) Maryse wore this royal blue, jewel-embellished piece on her vacation (also worn by Barbie - had to mention that so we can tie the whole post together in one neat lil' bow ;)). I'm always on board for a glam bikini, so this piece is juts my cup of tea! And that blue! Lana frolicked about in two blazingly bright ensembles. First p is this rainbow-printed string set, which is just loads of fun...and so summery! :D She really looks amazing without make-up, doesn't she? We see these ladies glammed up a lot of the time, but I really appreciate their natural beauty as well! The color combo pf her second set is stand-out: neon pink and highlighter yellow. The pic doesn't do her top full justice - it's actually right yellow lace set over the pink background. Wearing this has got to be such a jazz! I love string bikinis any which way,, so picking a fav was a challenge, but I think it's the lace ftw. Lastly, Alicia's Chad Martel sessions also produced this goddess-next-door shot of Foxy enjoying nature in this lime bikini. While string ties are high on my list, halter styles and syper-wide ties at the hips top them! I would wear this swimsuit in half a heartbeat! Ladies looking to accentuate a straighter figure, take note: side ties will do that, and the wider, the better! I also love how joyful Foxy looks here - as if she was thoroughly enjoying what she was doing!
