Summer attended New York Fashion Week earlier this month and got to wear nearly as many fab looks as she saw ;). She kicked the week off with this blazer dress from Michelle Mason (available at shopbop.com). The double breasted styling nods at the current nautical/military trend. Summer finished the look with beige suede OTK's. I like the uniqueness and powerful feeling of this piece. The blonde beauty turned to John Paul Ataker for her next attire, a banded-pastel suit that combined a cropped, open jacket with slim pants. The white-at-first-glance effect gives way to the almost iridescent quality of the pastel rows, which is intriguing and beautiful. The satin fabric makes this suit quite formal, so Summer intelligently toned that down a bit by wearing a simple tee underneath. She paired the ensemble with nude pointy toe heels from Christian Louboutin. I'm a massive fan of her mid-height pony, as well as her rose-nude make-up palette; it keeps the whole styling soft from head to toe. Next up was a cutout sky blue suede dress from Nasty Gal (id by fashionofthedivas.tumblr.com) , accented with dramatic fringe. I was a bit doubtful when I first saw this piece, but it's grown on me. The movement created by the fringe is delightful and this color is gorgeous! The beige OTKs from day one finished off this look; the color, paired with the blue, creates an American-West-landscape vibe, even photographed in the heart of NYC. Summer saved her best outfits for last. She slayed day four in this mustard spaghetti-strapped cold-shoulder top, paired with wide-leg pants that have a subtle slit-detail at the front. Her choice of pointy-toe black pumps with this was flawless - they help elongate the leg and balance the width of her pants. Between the sexy off-shoulder styling and golden radiance of her top and the trendy silhouette of her pants, this outfit is a magnificent example of current sophistication. I adore everything about it! That being said, I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite between that and her final look, a Victorian-influenced lace-and-sheer confection of a blouse from Self Portrait (available in ivory at shopbop.com). This blouse is utterly gorgeous - the lace-up details at the shoulders, the sheer sleeves, the intricate lace at the bodice and hem: it's a modern romantic's statement piece that needs very little embellishment. Summer lets it stand out by pairing it with noticeably simple blue Rag and Bone skinny jeans and her nude Louboutin pumps. A lovely side braid and soft make-up are her only accessories. This look is heaven!
