If you, like me, count yourself among those souls who deeply miss the WWE fashion of Michelle McCool, prepare to spend a few moments in heaven! We're devoting an entire post to the stle of the blonde beauty, replete with her WrestleMania fashion and a check-in on her current endeavors. It will probably culminate in our fervent (on bended knee...tears not optional) plea for her to return to WWE (in any capacity) which she will dismiss - should she deign to see it - with flawless iciness and a Regina-George-worthy put-down...which we will savor as if it was effusive praise ("She insulted me!...It was aaaaawesome!") We start off on a slightly off-key moments from WM week. Michelle chose this extreme cutout mini dress with patterned sequin embellishments for the Hall Of Fame. Black is a definite departure for her in terms of her red carpet fashion game (which I always felt wasn't necessarily where her style shone). I like that she chose something unexpected, however, and also that even though it was black, it was far from a standard LBD. Ultimately, there's just a little too much going on here to make me really love this look. I DO love her high bun, though! This sleek, polished hairstyle is one Michelle always rocks and it's simplicity was an intelligent choice to pair with this dress. If workout looks are your jazz, you should be as wild over this look as I am - a mesh halter bralette? Take me to the gym, Master! I love the raw, fierce power of this piece. Pair it with simple black shorts and that's all you need to slay...everything! If everything isn't enough for you, try doing this dimensional braid a la Michelle. It's killer gorgeous - both with athletic gear and with more formal styles, like this metallic shift and statement collar ensemble. Tiny diamond studs bring a hint of shine and attitude in both cases. Of course, you rock diamond studs at the gym ...because...flawless! :) While we die-hard fans are used to Michelle breaking out blues for events, she was all about the neutrals at Wrestlemania. Axxess found her in this tan cropped halter paired with distressed white jeans for a look that slays as well as the heady Laycool days. Her delicate, layered necklace is a perfect, just-enough accent, while the high bun again works brilliantly. Caramel-hued Western boots completed the look. The next neutral is this embroidered, V-neck midi dress, which reminds me of a more sophisticated version of the piece from her Solid Gold 'shoot (see below). The silhouette is quite similar. This one, however, includes a nod to trendy boho styling and an on-point low pony. The slim layered necklace and bar earrings bring a nice touch of flash in an understated way. There's an easy chic to this outfit that's lovely and appealing. The fabulous braid wa in evidence again at WrestleMania, where Michelle wore this daring crossback piece (prob a mini dress, but could be a top? Will update if/when I can). It's the plunge-front that really caught my attention, though. She definitely hasn't lost any of her style nerve! I love how paired with long pendant, which works with the spirit of the deep-v, while bringing a crave-worthy rock-n-roll vibe to the look. If this is a mini dress, I can see the Michelle of yesteryear (and yester-week too! ;) ) finishing this with OTK boots :). And, then...there. Is. This. Red halter cropped top. High waisted flares. Insanely chic red peeptoe heels. Bold gold accents via statement cuff and lariat necklace. BAM. As in BAAAAAAAAM. That's how it is done. This is why the McCoolites rhapsodize over her style.Everything about this is right. This is the same fashion sensibility that brought us all the glorious moments of LayCool, updated to today's trends. Take a moment. And take notes. Can we have a photoshoot now, please? :)
And, if you've been wondering what Mimi has been up to lately, she's not resting on her laurels. In addition to WrestleMania meet-n-greets, and motherhood, she's create a fitness and sports performance conditioning company called Calacool Elite. As any good McCoolite remembers, Michelle was a fitness trainer before WWE (which inspired her initial persona), so this truly her niche...well, one of many :). She represents her own brand for marketing and, clearly, her body has not only not lost a thing since WWE, it's picked up a couple notches. Girlfriend has been working hard...and she looks amazing! Rock on, Flawless Queen!
