When you think "classic" makeup style, you must think "red lip". It's so vintage, it's so right now, it's so every decade. It always adds punch to an outfit, whether it's the pop of color against a palette of neutrals or one more bright hue against a rainbow of brilliant shades. Nothing says fierce and fabulous like the vibrant red lip, be it scarlet, crimson, Chinese, fire engine or vermilion. Dress it up, dress it down: either way, it's always hot! And that's why we're grateful that once upon a time, someone invented the red lip!

And since we're on the subject of red,lips aren't all it's fab for ;). Sure, every neutral shade is a classic and perhaps no color is more classic than black, but when you think of non-neutral colors, THE classic shade is red. It's trendier at certain times than others (like right now :)), but never goes out of style...ever. It's appropriateness spans the seasons, from being uber chic in summer to being a holiday shade extraordinaire. It also works for pretty much every time period in between. It can be worn head-to-toe as an eye-catching monochrome look, or it can add a bright, chic pop to any neutral or combination thereof, a matchup that never fails to look sophisticated. Despite its vibrancy, red looks amazing on almost all colorings - it's fantastic on blondes, stunning on brunettes. Hence, hurrah for red!
