Eva Marie has had her NEM fashion line for about a year now and in celebration of that, we thought we'd do a Inspiration Board focusing on the pieces from her collection. Be aware - NEM pieces tend to sell out each season, so if you love something, grab it! NEM's overall focus is toward trendy, fast fashion styles, but there's also a nice selection of the more classic silhouettes I love. That makes it super easy to put looks together, especially as we head into the season of transitional dressing. This gray midi pencil skirt is about as classic as you can get, which is why it immediately caught my eye! The sleek lines of a pencil skirt always look polished, so softening it up with something like this crochet sweater is a winning match-up. I love the pattern of this piece - it's delicate and very feminine. Layer it over a blush cami or tank and then get in one of this year's hottest color trends by finishing the look with red shoes. The pink is muted by the crochet, so this is a subtle and safe way to try this daring match-up. (Don't forget that you can reverse it with a red cami and blush shoes instead, if you possess those pieces already ;)). This look will translate to fall easily - just add a jacket on top. Look for one that's slightly shorter than the sweater and let the scalloped hem and sleeves show beneath. I would probably opt for a blazer here, but military, biker or a classic leather piece will look flawless as well. Swap the mules for pumps or ankle booties (play it cool with beige or black neutrals or take a risk with burgundy velvet ones ;)) NEM Pieces: Summer Crochet Top All In Skirt You know I can't resist yellow, so I went head-over-heels when I saw this sunshine-y floral print dress! The plunge front is super hot and perfect to rock for casual occasions. If you feel more comfortable showing a little less (I'm with ya! ;)), try tying a knot in each of the straps to shorten the piece and lift it so it doesn't fall as low on your body., or wear a short-sleeved tee with a rounded neckline underneath (the round shape avoids the hiccough of mismatched v's).The side slit is daring, but do-able - although you could also sew it closed a bit more, if you prefer. Right now is the time to pair this piece with sandals - I love Eva's choice of black, but white, beige, pale lemon, bright blue or leaf green would also be stunning. Finish with flowing banana curls or a half up-do. This gorgeous clean, warm yellow will transition nicely into fall with the addition of ankle booties and a bomber or biker jacket, which will toughen up the garden-y floral. Accessorize with a choker, or bold statement earrings. Choose a sleek pony or messy bun to pull the look together. Alternatively, go with OTK boots that show through the slit for a fierce tease. Top with an oversized, slouchy cardigan, draped off of one shoulder. Add a meaningful pendant to personalize the look. NEM Pieces: Bali Maxi Dress (*also available in black) Baddie Leather Jacket It's hard to go wrong with an LBD: #ClassicForAReason, y'all! A long-sleeved piece like this works in all but the hottest weather, making it a good investment for multiple seasons. Wear it right now with bright retro-tinged sneakers for a nostalgic vibe. Naturally, I love yellow ones :)...and not least because they go oh so perfectly with these amazing oversized aviators from NEM. I am so in love with those! LOVE. Keep the grunge nod by staying accessory-free. For transitional dressing, top it with a full-length open trench in iconic beige (a trench vest works too!). Keep the sneakers and sunnies for laidback cool. Alternatively, go with an embroidered bomber (also here, here) and low-heeled or flat ankle booties (Hint: if you snagged yourself a pair of slit-sided ankle booties, here's a great place to incorporate them! Add luscious autumnal colors like plum, burgundy, navy and olive, or explore a mostly-monochrome look, with the embroidery providing the only color. Add a selection of bangles to bring extra dimension to the styling and n 80's nod.
