Melange, Sept 2016

September is Diva-Fierce.com's birthday month! Woot woot! As you can see, the site has had a makeover and there are more fun things in the works! We always used to do this month up in style and I would like to honor that tradition this year. I was recently re-reading emails between myself and the site's co-founder, Alicia, from the very first days of fierce, when we were just creating the site and it made it especially important to me to try to keep that feeling present and remembered here. We were trying to decide on content and getting our first layout and trying to catch up on all the reviews we missed while we put the site together.  In keeping with tying our past into our present, I wanted to do a Melange banner and give all of you a taste of what's to come this month, just as we used to do. The first Melange was conceived of as a kind of online magazine, uniting the Divas (Superstars), KO's and their fashion with other things we loved: pop culture, music, art, movies, life events. Our goal was to pull their world even more into our world. Melange went live in May of 2012, with a feature on prom fashion, and the articles continued to be published monthly through January 2015. I loved the teamwork and creativity that went into those features; we had such a blast doing them! While the site has metamorphosized since then and I don't see myself having the time required to do Melange on a full scale now, I never say never ;). Articles which fit the Melange criteria  are, and will continue to be, published under that category. And now, with this post and banner we have one more memento of what we created and the amazing journey that has been Diva-Fierce.com. So, come on in and celebrate with us, loves: it's our birthday! :)
