New RatedV.net Photos: Pink Horizons

First, I have to register my thanks with Velvet Sky for releasing real, actual photoshoot-type photos right now. It feels like it's been pulling teeth to get (m)any out of the major networks. Trust the ladies themselves to get the job done ;). We find Velvet donning pink in this new series of snaps (available for purchase on her RatedV.net website). Having had such incredible success with electrical-tape-as-clothing in the past, Vel's decided to give us another round (and she's wearing TapOut gloves. See? Synchronistic wordplay! Or karma! ...or kismet!...or something ;)) of it. I really have to just take a moment and sit in awe of the fact that someone can look so ...AAAfreakinMAZING wearing essentially about six yards of adhesive-backed plastic. Just...can't even. How does she DO that? The shots are scalding hot...duh, it's Velvet. They also constitute an exploration of a beautiful pale rose pink we haven't seen her play with much recently, but which is a gorgeous choice. Bright pink heels and carnation-hued boxing gloves serve as the only accessories...and clearly, are all that's needed. Her fuscia  lips add a flush of color. Lastly, the lighting in these shots is also something special - the white-gold haze throws beautiful shadows and highlights. Vel also does pink with a dash of fierce in her final newly-released shot. She pairs a ruffled mini (is there a word for a mini-er than mini skirt? :)) with a lacy pink bra, set over a black underlayer. Plaid suspenders make a fun 90's throwback detail, while her black laced heels bring *that attitude* hard. I also love the way her hair looks in this shot - it seems to have been softly pinned in the back and the angle shows off the soft glamour of the style. The contrasting lavender background is a wonderful choice - it's complementary, but still allows the pink-and-black to pop off of it. Maybe Vel will explore lavender and lilac for us next time around :)
