OMG - how I WISH it could be Lana's birthday every day! ...Especially if WWE is going to celebrate it with a photo gallery ;). The actual day of her birth is March 24...a date she shares with the Undertaker. How's that for good company on your birthday?! The Big Dub released a plethora of photos to celebrate it and looking through them, I discovered one simple thing..well two, actually. one is that Lana is HAWT. But technically, I already knew that. So, the thing I discovered is that the Big Dub has been holding out on us! The miserable, lousy, rotten scumbags! Look at all these pics from un-released 'shoots? What gives? It seems like all the companies have been teasing us lately about forthcoming 'shoots, but not a 'shoot do we get. It's maddening. And unacceptable. Here we are, almost at the end of March, and what have we gotten for photoshoots? Merely three. Thhhbbpppftttt. Ssly, Big Dub: #FreeThePhotoshoots! There are a bunch of fun shots from old photoshoots as part of this gallery tribute to Lana, but you'll definitely want to check it out for the NEW pics that it includes. One of my favorites is this sexy pairing of a cherry red, sweetheart necklined crop top with cutoff jean shorts. You could hardly get a more classic, sexy vixen combo. It immediately makes me think of something Guess would use for an ad campaign. ..which reminds me: why haven't they asked Lana to be a brand ambassador for them, yet? Hmmmm? Lana brings some free-spirited FIERCE to this look by finishing it with lace-up, peep-toe OTK booties. Ogh...doesn't just reading that description give you shivery thrills? With her confident poses and wind-blown locks, this was clearly a made-to-order bombshell 'shoot! Continuing in that vein is this v 80's-tinged ensemble - it's the acid-wash denim that always makes me think "80's". Oh, and the high waist! Lana matched it with a lace-up bodysuit in a an almond tone. But she really threw a curveball with these chunky-heeled ankle strap sandals! Aren't they lighthearted and super-fun? They're definitely something I wouldn't expect from cool, chic Lana, but seeing her pull these off is a jazz! She follows that up with something more expected, but gorgeous nonetheless: a knit jacquard coord set from BCBG. The high-waisted skirt+cropped top is super mod, while the jacquard print softens the forward-thinking fashion. I love the soft waves in her hair...and her bright pink lip! Lastly, Lana lets her sultry side shine in another two-piece set, this one a lace-applique leather cropped bustier paired with leather pencil skirt. This is ca-lassic Lana: smooth and tough as leather, seductive and complex as lace! And, as always, she slays the interplay between the two concepts. It's simple, bold, hot and cold all at the same time. Le envious sigh. She adds a bit of pop with a cerise lip. My favorite thing about this Lana-trademark look, though, is her low pony - it's softer than her prim bun, but more mature and polished than leaving her hair loose. It builds on the tension already created by the elements of the outfit. I wish we had gotten to see all these looks fleshed out with additional poses (and shoes, where needed! :)) so we could really explore and enjoy the full character of the looks. Joey, Joey...wyd??
