Kim: Can we just start off by saying, this is #SquadGoals AF! Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Nikki Bella took to the streets of NYC for this gritty & glamorous, punky & sophisticated shoot. No studio, no green screens, this is real. And it's a-maz-ing! Brie: I 2nd Kim! This 'shoot is incroyable! The ladies of WWE have a habit of slaying NY-themed photoshoots and this is one more in their run of fabulosity. The vibrancy of the non-bland, non-photoshopped backdrop definitely enhances the work, giving it an editorial-esque aura that really lights me up. The clothing choices and poses are just fire on top of fire! Brie: Alexa’s punk-tinged look has one small hiccough in terms of styling. I love the concept, but there are a number of lines to draw the eye, which makes it feel busy. I might have preferred a short-sleeved under-layer to set off the corset’s straps, as the sleeveless style of the bodysuit competes somewhat. Beyond that, however, the look fits the ’shoot concept perfectly and so many of the elements are undeniably fab! The silver corset is, of course, a glam highlight and Blissy gives it distinct punk leanings via the leather shorts and chain belt (reprised with her bag handle. Side note: props for a ‘shoot that lets the ladies show off some bags!). Her pointy-toe patent ankle booties are crave-worthy! I applaud her decision not to over-accessorize – a smooth, bold silver collar echoes the corset and adds all necessary additional flash. Her poses are classics, flawlessly executed, except for her palm-on-cheek/elbow-on-table restaurant snap, which breaks new ground and is abso rocked and one of my faves from her set, along with the shots in front of the graffiti’d wall. Both evoke a punk princess-to-be, scrapping for her turn in the limelight, a concept in which Alexa shines! Kim: "And though she be but little, she is fierce." If this quote doesn't perfectly describe Alexa Bliss than I don't know what quote would! And she is 100% bringing the fierceness to the streets of NYC in her punk-inspired look. The corset, the leather, the fishnets - Oh my! Speaking of that silver corset, I would do almost annnything to have that in my closet! The shape and shine is making me feel all blissful (see what I did there?). Brie: Nikki brings glamour to the toughness of Chinatown with her set. A glittering blush bodysuit begins the look with sultry detailing: a double keyhole front that makes a solid bid to get all minds off the fashion. She pairs it with a banded ivory pencil skirt, which creates a sleek, modern vibe. The glam comes from her perfectly selected accessories: a fabulous stone+crystal floral waist belt, statement silver earrings, a ruffled metallic silver clutch and bold, metallic ankle-cuff sandals (love those!). The cool silver gains extra impact from the contrast with the warmth of the blush and ivory, while the belt melds the colors and unifies look. The overall effect is one of confident, modern chic and I’m wild over it! Nikki’s poses are a joy to behold, as she fully embraces the editorial nature of the shoot, strutting on the street, dangling from a light-post and leaning on the chain link. They enhance the exquisite contrast between her softly sparkling presence and the seedy toughness of her environment, bringing out the beauty in both. Kim: She might be waiting for her neck to heal again before stepping into the ring, but we still get a little bit of Bella in our lives with these photos(Though if you need more Nikki, there's an unseen set of photos that will be reviewed very soon). Brie, you are totally right when you say Miss Fearless brought the glamour. That's legit the first word that came to my mind when I saw her photos. The sleekness of her outfit, her calm facial expressions, and her relaxed yet glam poses that basically say, "Yes I can do this all day". Being in front of the camera is so natural for Nikki, it's no surprise she slayed this shoot. Brie: I am so impressed with the way Naomi has been evolving with her style, not only in the ring, but also her ‘shoot style. Her latest set is unquestionably one of the best and most engaging sets I’ve seen from her. It starts with her outfit choices: her fitted LBD sheath gains extra interest from triangle sheer panels at the waist, lined with lime green piping. I love the way this piece fits Naomi – it looks utterly flawless! – and the lime green coordinates beautifully with her hair. She sparks this fantastic entrée with color (mango yellow nails – I’m in heaven!), a touch of glam (gaawwwwgeous metallic strappy sandal-booties and a pair of cuff bracelets) and quirkiness (her “Vroom” box clutch by Sarah’s Bag). In close competition with that awesome bag for my fave accessory is her pom pom fur ring! It’s whimsical, adorable and so hot! The pom pom has taken the fashion blogger world by storm as a bag accessory, so seeing her incorporate the concept as a ring is so playful and so au courant that it’s a massive jazz. I’m wild over how on point this styling is, as well has how cool it looks! Her poses are a touch erratic in quality, but the good is mind-blowing! She rocks the shot in front of the motorcycle, nails her squad shots and slays her arm-overhead and leaning-forward-from-wall poses. The unquestionable summit of the set, though, is her sitting snap, with her elbow on her knee as she glances sideways; it is complete and utter perfection in every way. This is stellar work from Nay-nay! She is on a heck of a roll and I love it!
Kim: Dang Brie, you took the words right out of my mouth! I honestly don't know what else to add. I knew you'd love the shoes girl, so do I, as well as the tiny trim of color on her dress. The fact is matches her hair so perfectly has me seeing hearts. I feel like I could have said this for all the girls, but honestly the backgrounds for this shoot were incredible. The graffiti, the bright lights, this shoot would not have been the same if they tried to make it work in the studio. I'm so glad they took it to the streets and applaud everyone involved for creating such a glorious shoot. I have to say that if Alexa brought the punk, and Nikki brought the glamour, I think Noami brought the sophistication... along with the glow!
