WWE made a final hail and farewell gesture to the vintage Women's Title with this retro styled photoshoot featuring a number of the divas posing with the original belt. It's a fun look back at a tough, rough-hewn piece of leather with a storied history. One important note: the background for this 'shoot is kind of fantabulous :). It's this gray-green moldering wall that makes me think of the Slytherin common room. Wicked cool. (Pun intended ;) Stephanie looked haughty and gorgeous while carrying the belt in this studded-shoulder sweater in a fab shade of graphite. Blue jeans and a few baubles completed her haute-rocker look. Sasha repped her Legit Boss tee for the shoot. It matches the old belt quite nicely. Come to think of it, it wouldn't look bad with the new one either ;). She injected a pop of color with these bright sky skinny pants, which made a nice departure from the ring gear many of the ladies chose. One of said ladies was Natalya, who gave us a close-up of this pink-piped sheer inset bodysuit ensemble, which is among the sexiest incarnations of her in-ring look yet! This piece gives me sexy superhero vibes - can't you just imagine Natty dodging lasers and driving a convertible amphibious plane? After all her recent style fabulosity, this look seems to me to be a bit of a regression on Becky's part. The crazy plaid, the green satin shirts, the tangential injection of that turquoise shade with no other counterpart for it...it's just all too much. One of these statement pieces could be gotten away with, certainly. A little editing, please? I'm thinking it won't be over long 'til Becky gets hold of a title, so hopefully, she'll also get another swing at a title 'shoot.
Eva Marie's scalding red gear is super effective against the vintage belt, as it plays off of the red lettering. The black piping also works well. The wrap design of her top is minimal, but creative and SEXAY. Sometimes, minimal is all ya need ;). She spikes the shorts with a fine line of crystal studs, which brings a nice bit of dimension to the simple silhouette. The cohesiveness of this set is very appealing. Charlotte's intense azure gear also makes a nice pairing with the belt. While I prefer the design if her WrestleMania attire. which also utilizes this color (review on that coming this week!), this one is high on my list of ringwear I love too. The v straps, the touches of crystal, the well-chosen bralette style all make this gear come together flawlessly, and impactfully. The only tweak I might make would be to swap out her red clay eyeshadow. I find the color a bit harsh in this environment; a smoky eye that drew out the black leather of the belt would have been my preference.
