Kim: The Christmas season is just around the corner, and WWE is continuing their tradition of releasing a line of "Ugly" Christmas sweaters on WWEShop.com. Which means, we have the annual sweater shoot to review! Now, with Ugly Christmas Sweaters, people either love 'em or hate 'em... There's basically no in-between! Brie: Oh dear heaven, no. Not this again. Please. I can't even. (Narrator: Clearly, Brie falls into the "hate 'em" category). Kim: Now, I'm on the polar opposite end of the spectrum here. Yes, they're tacky, and cheesy, and the designs sometimes clash... but for me I say the uglier, the better! Bring it on! Brie: I love Ruby Riott's pose here. It's like she's asking "Whyyyyy?"...which is exactly my question. Whyyyyy would you attach this mess of color and pattern to your person voluntarily? Even if it does have Ric Flair on it. There are better ways to pay tribute: blind us all with sequins, deafen us with "woos", put me in a dang Figure Four for hourrrrrs. It will all be less painful than this sweater. And also...Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan let her go out on in public like this? Girl need some new friends ...stat. Kim: Oh Brie, The Riott Squad always sticks together, no matter what! And they are rocking some Legends for this shoot; Sarah with Stone Cold, Ruby with Rick Flair, ad Liv with The Undertaker. Each one has a different colour scheme and I love 'em! The blue and green for Stone Cold's might be my favourite, followed very closely by the purple and black for Taker on Liv. But did you know, these three sweaters even light up? Like, they actually have little lights throughout? How de-light-ful! Brie: Speaking of Liv, I give her points for the blue tongue. That's fun! Especially set against the black-and-white starkness of an Undertaker sweater (just saying that phrase made my fashion brain spin. "Undertaker sweaters" should NOT BE. The end.) I'm digging the pink hair too. It's amazing how fab these detail look when I compare them to something I deeply dislike (looking at you, Undertaker Sweater). PS Her glasses are super cute! Kim: Next up, we have Alexa Bliss, Ronda Rousey, and Becky Lynch all rocking their own design. I love the bright, hot pink shade of Alexa's. Also look at the face, it's her classic logo but with a twist... a bright red nose and reindeer antlers. Um, yes! How freaking cute? Becky and Ronda both sport a combination of Christmas trees, reindeer, snow flakes, and other classic tacky sweater embellishments throughout their apparel. Surely Brie, there is something here that you can show some love? Brie: Ok I found something I like! Thank you, Becky Lynch! The neon peach color of her sweater is amazeballs! It is beautiful and I shall stare at it until this post is over. I would never think of putting this peach shade with her red hair - I'd be afraid it would clash. But it doesn't; it works! Massively! More neon peach on Becky for my Christmas wish, please! (And no more Ugly Sweater 'shoots. EV.ER). Kim: I love that they picked Bayley to shoot in Finn Balor's sweater, the two are close friends and MMC partners after all. Like Alexa's design, they used Finn's face with a Christmas twist, turning him into the Demon... snowman? Bayley seems to be loving it judging by the smile on her face. With her red and green hair, Asuka already looks ready for the season, and throw in a legendary NWO sweater, she's good to go. I love the bright orange and muted grey colour combination. Though not the most festive traditionally, it's one of my favourites. Brie: The Boss reps her own merch, complete with sunglasses x 2. I've got to hand it to Sasha Banks for not coming to play games. If only the Santa hat could be deleted, the swagger alone might make me able to square myself with this. Kinda. I mean, like a little bit :). Maybe with some cool denim...no...maybe with some velvet pant..no, nvm...ssskater skirt? (Narrator: Brie's meltdown approacheth). Kim: In this stunning blue shade, Dana Brooke is running this shoot like AJ Styles runs Smackdown Live. The light blue and white details make this sweater look especially fitting for the winter time. Plus her slicked back high ponytail is simple, yet polished. Mandy Rose stands out in her black and neon colours, Ultimate Warrior pullover. The drastic contrast of brights and dark is so eye catching, I'm totally feeling it. Ember Moon has me thinking that I need to see the real Braun Strowman in a Santa hat, cause this soft grey sweater is kind of amazing.
Brie: Ok, yes..the blue and white is cool on Dana. Now, if only all the wording and patterning could be erased - that would be super cool :) And how has Mandy, the Golden Goddess, come to this? Legends be whatevered, there are precisely zero reasons to wear this sweater. With ANYthing. However, her hair looks fantabulous! I'm gaga over all the volume. That is redeeming. I shall attempt to overlook..no, poor choice of words -why would you want to look - overlook, underlook, accidental-random-glance look? You wouldn't ...so I shall attempt to forget it's existence entirely (Wanted: highly successful hypnotist). I note that pale gray is an incredible color on Ember. I note nothing else; I am trying to not see anything from the yoke down #HowToScarAFashionistaWithASingleGlance I wish very merry festivities to everyone and everything...except these sweaters. They should burn :) (Narrator: imagine this phrase in Brie's best John Cleese voice). #Unapologetic Kim: Well, while I don't think Brie and I will ever be on the same page on this topic (heck, I think we're reading different books) there's one thing we can agree on... As the holiday season starts, we both wish that everyone has a happy , joyful time surrounded by love, family, and friends. Let the festivities begin! XoXo
