Among her many fashion talents, Maria has an obvious flair for mixing girly with glam! You can't get much more girly than pink. And you can't get much more glam than sequins. Maria pops them together with panache in this recent style outing. I love me some sequins and broke out my all-over sequin silver sweater for the holidays. Since I don't live my life on national tv or as a social media darling, the sequins felt just right at holiday-time...but perhaps a bit over the top for day-to-day wear. To make Maria's girly glam accessible for us fashionable-but-less-paparazzi'ed types, I swapped her sequin jacket for a sequin tank - much easier to find and possibly even sitting happily in your dresser drawers at this very moment. If you own a pink one, add some warmth by layering a turtleneck underneath and wearing it as a sequined vest. Bring some sporty, cool-urban-girl vibes by topping it off with a bomber jacket. Finish things off with skinny jeans and low-heeled booties. Maybe you have a sequined tank, but you temperately and intelligently talked yourself into the practical black shade (brava, you!). You know who else did that? Me :) So, how do we get Maria's look? Well, it's the same on the skinny jeans side (you could do chinos too ..or (gasp) slim, cropped wool ;)). Next, you could be very Chanel and go with a cropped, fitted jacket. Neon pink makes this one undeniably modern but a boucle or tweed with hints of pink will give you the same vibe a bit more classically. You could also bring your chill vibes to the fore and go with a long cardi in pick-your-fav-shade-of pink. Leave it open to let the sparkle show more, or belt it closed for a touch less shine. For the more formal jacket, complete the look with pristine point-toe pumps. If you have pink ones, go for the color! Never fear if you don't: a nude shade will do beautifully, as will black. If you went all cardigan, choose a less formal shoe, like this sweet and comfortable ballet flat. #HappyGirlyGlamming :)

WWE seems to do a perennial re-release of Barbie/Kelly photos in some "Best Of" gallery and they're at it again this year. Not that I mind, really - who doesn't love seeing pics of the gorgeous Barbie Blank (current star of WAGS on E! #ShamelessPlug)? Mostly, these galleries are standard fare - a nostalgic, enjoyable trip down memory lane, viewing things we've already see and loved before (very bittersweet), with a few newbies tossed in to leave us guessing a bit. Barbie was always a fav of mine and her fashion was A-grade in a wide variety of looks, with the capability of hitting some super-high notes. Since we're a fashion site, I decided to do WWE one better: you can go look at their gallery, but you can also check out our gallery below, where we've curated a collection that spans the full range of Barbie's style! ;)
OMG...I have SO many dang posts started for you all, but I'm so short on time I can't get them finished. So frustrating! #BloggerProblems Just, know they are coming :). Anyway, I DO have time to talk about Maria - seriously, who would NOT make time to talk about Maria? Hmmm? Yeah, nobody breathing. I know Impact is promoting Mike Bennett as the Miracle and don't get me wrong - there's a lot to like about the guy. But, the REAL miracle here is Maria! (AND her fashion!) Sorry, but it's just true. And if she wants to save our stylish souls, I'm going to clamber into the front pew and get my hands up for that with a big ol' "Hallelujah!"
Her first TNA shoot is minimal and straightforward: savior-esque white bodycon dress with "oh my Yes, Lord!" deep-v paired with cute almond-colored platform pumps. Her chevron necklace is fab and sparks the outfit...along with that land-planes-by-it diamond on her hand ;) Her make-up is a highlight, with glimmering eyeshadow bringing in an extra touch of gorgeous glow, while dark nails give the barest hint of the dark side of this Force. We get only a couple of shots, but Maria's already working the camera like the pro she is and putting her own spin on standard photoshoot stances. She even breaks out a crown. Not that she needs to - any true believer already knows that in this Kingdom Come, Maria is the Queen. Think of her as the Red Queen to Mike's Red King in Alice In Wonderland :). I know...as in KNOW..with the truest faith...that Maria is supremely capable of gobs more creativity and drama and I am on the edge of my teetering seat to see where she takes things, both in-ring, in-front-of-camera and in-photoshoot during the months to come. #AllHailMaria (and Mike!) I've already raved about how immediately and deeply the sophistication of this look connected with me. Since we've been doing a bunch of casual outfits on the Inspiration board lately, I wanted to switch up and do something a bit dressier...because it's fun to dress up sometimes ;) Ssly, one can't yoga-pant forever. Well, maybe one can but...why? There are so many fabulosities to experiment with, including the ever-so-classic LBD (little black dress). Summer's version has a vintage feel, due to it's fit-and-flare shape, elbow sleeves and sweetheart neckline. You can keep that same vibe with a boatneck or square-neck as well. For silhouette, I love how forgiving and beautiful the fit-and-flare style is, but a body-skimming sheath (note: skimming, not hugging - pass over the suctioned-on-bodycon/I-can-see-what-shape-your-spleen-is types) is a flawless choice also. Summer's style dessert was a pair of pointy-toe pumps in black, with the only color coming from her scarlet lip. You can reprise that precisely...or, bring your color in another way: bright shoes! That last is a fav of mine. I'd forego the bright lip and go for something softer, like a pink-nude. Let's also play Devil(WearsPrada) Advocate. You love this look. You do not love dressing up, at least not today, at this very moment. You're headed to school or lunch, not a fancy dinner or the symphony. 'k. I can go with that :) Instead of the LBD, do black-on-black with a slim sweater (nothing too chunky) and a flared skirt (to-the-knee or midi will play up the polished feel). Keep the casual coming with a cute pair of flats - I went with ballets, but smoking slipper/loafer flats will do equally well. And..ta-da...you've metamorphosized this dressy glamour into a much more relaxed look...equally chic, tho ;) because...you! #HappyStyling!
The 'E's latest gallery showcases the "photos that weren't". Yeah, it's the re-hash type of thing I generally make vaguely snarky remarks about due to disappointment that it isn't a new 'shoot. But this one manages to be not-so-standard. It collects outtakes, backstage shots and unused pics and most of them are well worth a look. A number of them are downright amusing, from Lana putting a graceful stiletto right through the background (ooopsie :)) to Renee's adorable silliness to Sasha showing us just how boss a hot keister is ;). There are also jaw-dropper moments, typified by Charlotte's over-the-top athleticism. A bridge on three appendages? Held long and steady enough for a good shot? C'mon! That's just plain...yeah, yeah I know I'm supposed to "wooooo" here, but really I can't help saying "dayyyyuuum" :) Nice one, Char! For a couple more nice ones, head on over to wwe.com and check out the gallery!...Actually, two galleries:)
OMG do we have a FashionHap for you! Get out your beach towel and prepare for some drool-worthiness. We kick off with some Summer killage and then...well, if you're a shoewhore, this Total Divas promo pic is your Richard Gere.
This snap of Summer is jaw-droppingly chic. You really can't get more classic than an LBD and this one makes timelessness modern, with its elbow sleeves, sweetheart neckline and fit-and-flare silhouette. A hint of décolleté, a classic red lip and voila: perfection. Finish it off with a black pointy-toe pump and it's style heaven. I unconditionally love this look! LOVE. Making the shot all the more impressive is the beautiful background art and the simple, but impact-making red chair. Oh yes, AND her demurely sensual and ladylike pose...gorgeous! Can this be a photoshoot, pleeeeeeeeease? :) Sometime you can be in blue and it makes you not at all blue :). Alicia's blue cropped sweater definitely got me thinking that way. It's such an easy look, but still fierce in a relaxed way. I'm loving the softness of the pastel blue shades - and blue is looking like an "it" color for the spring, so it's a hue you're going to want to try :)...especially because bright, clean blues fall into that category of colors that look amazing on every skin tone. As with other cropped styles, I'd think about popping a longer piece under the sweater for cold-weather days. My first choice would be a crisp white button-down (probably with a thermal placed invisibly underneath ;)), but you could also do just the thermal. Pieces with lace, velvet or other interesting edging are always pretty when peeking out from beneath a similar neckline. Foxy went with leather-paneled leggings, but you can easily keep that street-cool feel with a zipper-accented pair, moto-styled chinos or even a pair of black skinny jeans. The two keys to this look are footwear and accessories. Foxy's black OTK's really add jazz to this styling, giving it casual mod flair. I'd stay with flat OTK's to keep the laidback vibe (either suede or leather works, and since you're matching it with blue, don't rule out your brown boots! They'd look casually fab too, and would add an earthen warmth to the styling). You could also make a fun switch and go with mid-calf boots here. Since it's a more chilled-out boot silhouette, I'd choose something with a heel to elevate the overall effect. Lastly, pick accessories that, like Alicia's, add some quirk and pizazz - studded bracelets (I like to wrap a skinny studded belt around my wrist), snake or skull jewelry, a fun animal pendant. Two or three layered pieces bring a hint of flash but, more importantly, let your personality shine. What better way to brighten a dull winter day? :) Shine on, loves!
