OK...I am not quite done with June ;). There were a few bits and bobs and bibbitybobbityboos of fashion that were just too good not to blather about with you!
First up is this super-cute outfit from Gail...super-cute, but also super comfy! She paired a simple tee with knit pants and sneakers. But it's her cropped jacket that really gives this look its zing. I love jackets like this one; they have a biker/motorcycle inspired silhouette and detailing, but are created in a sweatshirt fabric. They're as easy to wear as a sweat jacket, but far more stylish and polished, i.e. perfect for travelling, as Gail seems to be doing here :). She also gets props for adding olive to break up the black. After a long hiatus, this dusty brown-green shade is showing up again in fashion. Hint: it works just as well with camel and ivory as it does with black! Next: heeeeeellllo, Natalya! Girlfriend sent this snap out on Instagram and once you get past drooling over how amazing she looks (yes, I understand that it could take awhile ;)), you start to notice that she's exploring a color we don't often see from her: red! I'm so used to Nattie rocking the pink and black, but this shade definitely suits her. The intensity of the color is gorgeous...and would probably be even more so if the lighting allowed us to see the contrast of the bright strawberry with her blonde hair. Actually, we should prob be grateful that it doesn't, or we'd all keel over from drool dehydration. (Is that a thing yet?) We also got a couple of killer looks from the Bellas. This all-black outfit from Brie pairs high-waisted wide-leg pants with a tie-front top. I'm a huge fan of the tie-front look, as well as of the modern-meets-70's vibe it creates when combined with these pants. The other detail I completely adore is Brie's white floral choker. It provides that tiny nod to her boho sensibilities, but it also brightens the look and brings a soft, gardeny vibe to this chic, dark style statement. Aaaand then....there's the twins spread in Latina Magazine! Nikki and Brie rock the cover, as well as giving a fantastic interview...and wearing some seriously fabulous fashion. They kick things off with lace: Brie matched a lace halter top that I'd wear any day with wide-leg pants (like, super, extra wide!) for a daring, trendy look, while Nikki rocked a navy top with lace accents paired with high-waisted skinny pants and a hot pair of lace-up sandals.

Ogh..I get so nostalgic going through all these collages! I really can't believe we've had all these amazing years of Diva-Fierce and fashion and awards and memories. All the feels, loves, all the feels!
Since we've moved to the new hosting site, I've been trying to keep the history of Diva-Fierce alive and recorded for newbies to catch up on and goldies to take a hop, skip and a trip down memory lane with. I don't know who here at the site came up with the original concept of the Ring Gear Awards, but it was -and is!- an amazing fit with our nexus of wrestling and fashion; gear is the couture of the ring! And we're the only site to consistently, year after year, give great gear the call-outs and podium placings it so richly deserves, which makes the RGAs a very special and unique part of the Diva-Fierce lexicon. So, let's strap in and take a look ...all the way back to the first days of fierce when we were just a cute, tiny, fledgling website with nothing to our name but passion and a dream :) Lana seems to have left her "fun American" fashion side for our memory to revisit. She's back to sleek and icily gorgeous in this black bandage dress, accented with her cropped, satin-edged jacket. I love how the jacket makes this dress day-appropriate. I'm also a massive fan of her bold gold accents: a collar and can't-miss-it bangle. One smooth mid-height bun and she is pulled-together perfection.
I was immediately caught by this look from Eva Marie - and it's so simple, it's crazy. But for casual days and events (I'm thinking "sitting in the bleachers watching a ball-game" kind of casual), it's really tough to beat a graphic tee+jeans combo! It's got this great, laid-back classic, American-as-apple-pie vibe that's super-appealing. It's isn't trying hard - it's really hardly trying at all. And that's just why it works: it's unvarnished, un-embellished, girl-next-door honesty. Definitely a look to keep in mind as the days grow longer and sunnier :) Alicia Fox always slays when she does her 70's rock star look and she's at it again here. Graphic tee+denim is that perfect casual-combo referenced above, but Foxy's spiked it a bit! Add a cropped jacket as a topper for a bit of attitude, add tan cowboy-inspired flat boots for dance-to-my-own-drumbeat comfort and finish with a chic hat. Voila - she's ready for a radio station interview, sound check or the cover of Rolling Stone. #AllHailTheFox It's been really tough to catch up with Impact 'shoots lately. They've done - quite frankly - a lousy job of making shoots easy to find and cohesive. As a result, we're getting bits and fits and starts of things. Come on, Impact: get it together already!
Suddenly popping up on the radar are these shots form the baseball shoot done last fall. We get a simple, sporty ensemble from Jade: a zip front, color-block sports bra paired with plain black shorts. I like this combo; the simplicity packs a punch. I don't mind her chunky combat boots, but I'd have looooved if she kicked the fierce up with slim-heeled booties (like these). Marti also rocks this athletic look with a black and white halter-style top and black hip-huggers. I really like the pairing of her over-the-knee socks and sneakers; it's cute and mod at the same time! She also gets props for the swinging-the-bat pose! It's fab...and I think she's the only lady to do it, at least based on what we've seen so far. Rebel also chose the over-the-knee sock look, going with a sheer-striped pair and matching them with platform heels. She completely works the flirty, flippy mini skirt and pairing it with an open-weave mesh top is one of my favorite combos of this set! It looks really fresh and trendy. Swap the platforms for leather ankle booties and add an oversized denim jacket and this look would be channeling iconic 80's Madonna...very cool! We already got a glimpse of Velvet's outfit, but here we get to see more, like all her tied skull scarves, the full effect of her fishnets...and the fact that she didn't forget her trademark pop of pink ;). Her crystal neon rose platforms are straight outta TBP. As usual, she nails the pose! I don't think an KO out there is as consistent with smashing poses as Vel. #ItsAnArt We're getting into the holiday spirit this FashionHap by starting off with a pair of burgundy looks.
Eden kicks it off with an on-trend sweater dress in a lovely, warm wine shade. This is a color I adore all winter: it's festive, flattering and looks amazing with any neutral, as well as with bright blues and true reds. Sweater dresses were 70's staples, hence they're rediscovered popularity. I give Eden props for the tights - it's a classic look we don't see much from the Divas and KOs and it makes a shorter dress much more comfortable on cooler days! We don't get a look at her shoes here, but I'm envisioning pointy-toe pumps...in suede :) This is a standout look from Charlotte: the fit-and-flare (perhaps we should now call it the fit-and-Flair silhouette? ;) ) is FLAWLESS for her and my past-top-of-the-charts fave. (Wishlist: that she'd do a version of her gear like this!!) The studs on her( super-hot-rn! leather top are tasteful and add some spice to the piece, while her deep red jeans bring a pretty flash of color. The basic theme of the ensemble is dark, but much more fun! Suede OTK boots finish her look off, making it powerful and , while the play of texture between suede and leather adds an intriguing contrast. Absolutely fabulous styling here! Jojo caught our eyes in this wonderful gray A-line dress. Her style can sometimes get too cutesy for her youthful look. This piece is simpler, a bit more mature and consequently chic, without looking at all too old for her. It's a fantastic choice! She styled simply with a bead bracelet and understated locket. Her rose-burgundy lip shade adds a soft hint of color and brings precisely the required pop. I would love a playful, fun shoe here, something Sophia Webster or Charlotte Olympia, that lets Jojo's personality shine. Diva-Fierce.com was born in Sept 2011. That December, we began a special, site-exclusive tradition of collaboratively picking the best Diva and best Knockout shoot of the year. We' d choose the nom's; you'd vote for the one you loved best. Sadly, the noms for 2011 (and 2014, although the winners are here) are lost in the mists of time and hard drive-switches, although I do remember Tara winning the KO's crown for 2011 with her scalding hot motorcycle shoot (talk about unforgettable :) and I'm pretty sure Kelly/Barbie took it for the Divas with her Holly Golightly-esque purple dress shoot). However, since I have a semi-compulsion to save a lot of stuff (yeah I need to work on that), you can take a trip down memory lane courtesy of my OCD and relive all the great moments of yesteryear..the glitter, the leather, the hot poses. So, ditch the stilettos and put on your traipsing shoes ;)
I get inspired by so many things. And what I end up with doesn't always look like the thing the inspiration came from. Many times, it's more about a riff on the idea something conjures up. For example, this fabulous outfit of Gail Kim's is designed for a photoshoot or a stage show or a music vid. It's seriously HAWT. But it would be tough to pull off amid the general public. But the idea of this shoot? Oh, now that we can rock! This look is all about an unabashed homage to RED. And it's a great thing to pay tribute to this fall because the color is as hot as it can get. To offer a spin on Gail's look, I've imagined pairing a chunky knit sweater (the assymetrical hemline is fun and unusual, but optional) and slim pants in a matching shade for a monochromatic look and then spiking it with black accessories: over-the-knee boots a la Gail, a mod black statement necklace and a simple, sleek bag. The look could be done with a turtleneck, or even a poncho for variation. Red skinny jeans would work too, making the ensemble a bit more casual. I hope this inspires your style this week! Happy Monday, Fiercenti!
