Ogh..I get so nostalgic going through all these collages! I really can't believe we've had all these amazing years of Diva-Fierce and fashion and awards and memories. All the feels, loves, all the feels!
Since we've moved to the new hosting site, I've been trying to keep the history of Diva-Fierce alive and recorded for newbies to catch up on and goldies to take a hop, skip and a trip down memory lane with. I don't know who here at the site came up with the original concept of the Ring Gear Awards, but it was -and is!- an amazing fit with our nexus of wrestling and fashion; gear is the couture of the ring! And we're the only site to consistently, year after year, give great gear the call-outs and podium placings it so richly deserves, which makes the RGAs a very special and unique part of the Diva-Fierce lexicon. So, let's strap in and take a look ...all the way back to the first days of fierce when we were just a cute, tiny, fledgling website with nothing to our name but passion and a dream :)

WWE is whetting your appetite for summer with a gallery of the hottest superstar bodies on its roster. As it is has for the last few years, The Co., has used a collection of past photos (with a very, extra, super fine sprinkling of new ones :'(). The days of Summer Skin ( a multi-week release of 'shoot sets...literal *sets* from nearly every lady on the roster) seem to be a thing of the past. Oh, the nostalgia! All the feels, y'all. It was serious inspiration galore. I remember checking daily for releases, hanging on each new one. Le sigh. In a happier spin, however, we can re-live these scalding shots past in this gallery. There are reminders of favorite looks from Barbie/Kelly (that purple set is amazeballs), Maryse (don't you adore glittered bikinis?!), Michelle McCool (daw...she looks so fresh-faced and All-American girl!), Christy Hemme (just...HOT!) and Eve (I always loved her willingness to try unusual prints and colors with her swimwear), as well as some shots from the Bellas, Eva Marie and Charlotte (a scorching TapOut shot...stay tuned for something special from Diva-Fierce which is tangentially related to that shot). Also included are awesome TBT's with Lita (gorgeous+bada$$ - does it get any better?), Stacy Keibler (lllllleeeeeeggggs. The end.) and Trish Stratus (omg I LOVE that yellow bikini!). If this gallery doesn't get you ready for bikinis and beaches and humidity and icy drinks, you may want to check your blood pressure ;). Lastly, I never realized how great a penchant WWE has for beach/bikini pics in front of rocks...but clearly, the evidence is before us :). It's amazing what you can get out of these galleries! So, head over to the .com and enjoy this one.
The photoshoot drought is still on at Impact it seems, but tiny drop by tiny drop a few pics are starting to leak out. The company seems to be back to it's old fondness for releasing just one snap at a time, which is a bit of a bummer when one is trying to do a photoSHOOT review (note: shoot..we on the same page now, Impact?), but still, it's better than nothing :) #SilverLining.
Hot on the heels of her title shoot, we get a quick snippet from Jade, wearing a gear ensemble with a very unique color combo: daisy yellow and rich plum. Yellow is such a rare color in wrestling gear that I'm always thrilled to see one of the ladies take it on. It also looks like Jade is continuing with the pared-down patterning of her title shoot gear, which is very exciting! With fun, surprising colors set in straightforward, bold pattern her gear could have a ton of..well, ...impact :) (pun intended :D). I'm not exactly sure what the printed square scarf is intended to convey, but it adds an interesting dimension. It will take seeing how utilizes it to tell whether it rocks or less than rocks :). We also get a peek at a new ring outfit from Rebel, who has pulled out some very military style. I always love a woman who can wear a hat well, so that's a point in her favor. This jacket is also a really cool piece, with it's authentic shoulder detailing. She plays the commanding tone of those two pieces against very feminine shorts, crowned by a pink bow. She's resurrected the finger to teeth pose, an old sexy standard. This is quite a solid shot, with the style interplay between authority and sweetness being particularly interesting. Rebel's fashion sense is excellent; I wish Impact would let her turn it loose a bit more! If she were allowed to explore some of these themes less superficially and with a stronger fashion influence, I firmly believe she could create some stellar 'shoots. Maria also gets a mini shoot. Hers gets up close and personal with the gear in which she won the recent ladder match that earned her the title of KO's Commissioner. The idea of the entire KOs division in the hands of Maria definitely thrills me! And now, can we take a moment and talk about those shorts? Holy holy. That silhouette is cheeky indeed! Maria emblazoned it with stars, a fitting tribute to her First Ladyship, as it was obvi she was one pretty much from day one. I LOVE that she chose orange as her opening color: it's fiery and intense! Few divas dare to embrace sucha color, but Maria looks fantasmic in it! She adds touches of black via her crystal-speckled belt and fishnet stockings, which is just enough to ground that scalding hot main color. If you're a fan of diva-fierce, you know I've never made any secret of my love of yellow :). And ever since Taylor Swift appeared in the glorious mustard yellow gown in the Wildest Dreams video, my chief style ambition has been to acquire something similar. Kate Hudson's yellow dress in How To Lose A Guy in Ten Days put me into a similar frenzy lol. While I would (and do!) wear yellow any ol' time I get the chance, it seems to me that spring and summer are the most perfect times to try out this vibrant, glowing color. The Divas and Knockouts have given it a go on numerous occasions, with great success. Yellow carries a similar intensity to bright red, so it comes with similar tips and caveats: keep the accessories a bit minimal (one statement necklace, as opposed to a sea of crystal), neutrals or a single contrast color for pairings. A number of stores seem to carry yellow items in drab brown-tinged and greenish-leaning shades (looking at you, Free People), but I think those tones are difficult to wear. The cleaner, less dusty shades lend themselves to easier pairings.
Since the Big Dub doesn't seem to be in a massive hurry to satiate our desire for some New Freakin' 'Shoots already, we're going to work on that ourselves. Nothing like taking some initiative ;) We're taking a look back at the style of a fashionista we haven't heard much from in awhile, Eve. It's not that she hasn't been busy, though. She's gotten married, started a family, become a spokesperson for Women Empowered and remained an Ambassador for WWE. She was a style star when she was with the company full-time, though (and a stellar role model for the straighter, athletic-figured among us). So, it was a challenge to narrow down her Top 5 'Shoots. She could smoothly change her look from soft and sexy to polished and cool to an occasional just-Eve-from-the-block gritty-glam moment. Which of all these made the top of our list? Keep reading...
It's been really tough to catch up with Impact 'shoots lately. They've done - quite frankly - a lousy job of making shoots easy to find and cohesive. As a result, we're getting bits and fits and starts of things. Come on, Impact: get it together already!
Suddenly popping up on the radar are these shots form the baseball shoot done last fall. We get a simple, sporty ensemble from Jade: a zip front, color-block sports bra paired with plain black shorts. I like this combo; the simplicity packs a punch. I don't mind her chunky combat boots, but I'd have looooved if she kicked the fierce up with slim-heeled booties (like these). Marti also rocks this athletic look with a black and white halter-style top and black hip-huggers. I really like the pairing of her over-the-knee socks and sneakers; it's cute and mod at the same time! She also gets props for the swinging-the-bat pose! It's fab...and I think she's the only lady to do it, at least based on what we've seen so far. Rebel also chose the over-the-knee sock look, going with a sheer-striped pair and matching them with platform heels. She completely works the flirty, flippy mini skirt and pairing it with an open-weave mesh top is one of my favorite combos of this set! It looks really fresh and trendy. Swap the platforms for leather ankle booties and add an oversized denim jacket and this look would be channeling iconic 80's Madonna...very cool! We already got a glimpse of Velvet's outfit, but here we get to see more, like all her tied skull scarves, the full effect of her fishnets...and the fact that she didn't forget her trademark pop of pink ;). Her crystal neon rose platforms are straight outta TBP. As usual, she nails the pose! I don't think an KO out there is as consistent with smashing poses as Vel. #ItsAnArt A bunch of fab fashion concluded November. First, Eden slayed in this gorgeous lace dress with sheer sleeves. She went for the always chic black-on-black look, completing this outfit with ebony platform pumps. This is such a classic look and appropriate for so many occasions! Next, Summer wore this 70's-inspired high-neck haltter sweater dress. We often her in color, but I love the look of the gray mélange; it's cool and polished. Sadly, we don't get to see her pick of footwear. I'd put a small bet on her favorite pointy-toe pumps. If you wanted to follow-up on the 70's vibe, though, knee high boots in caramel leather would be a stellar choice! Alicia let her boho side loose with this fun winter white and navy printed dress. I love the complexity of the pattern and the oversize flowers; it has a from-India feel to it that is perfectly in keeping with the 60's-bohemian look. She builds on that by topping it with a fabulous fur coat. I'd probably finish this off with suede OTK's or ankle booties. Cameron gets inspired by an 80's-90's intersection (we're hitting a LOT of decades this go 'round lol), pairing a graphic tank with leather-inset skinny pants and canvas sneakers. The pop of red really makes this outfit work. The contrasting magenta shade of her hair adds another fantastic color cataclysm that's super cool against her predominantly black look. We don't get a full, clear shot of Madison's ensemble, but it looks like a black pantsuit with a v-neckline. I'm so excited to think she went this route! Pantsuits are crazy hot rn and a sophisticated alternative to a dress for parties, dinners and other events. Her choice of a delicate lariat for baubletry is superb! I'd complete this look with pointy toe pumps (or pointy-toe flats, if you're that kind of girl :)) PS @Madison, if this happens to be a zip sweatshirt and black jeans that I just can't see clearly, please don't tell me so. Just let me dream :) XO!
