Natalya looked amazingly chic as she participated in King 5 News’ New Day Northwest Hot Topics show. She paired a stunning LBD with leather OTK boots for a simple, but impactful ensemble. It’s the detaisl that give this look presence: the notch collar, the cap sleeves, the lace edging – these all combine to make this classic LBD interesting and unique. I love her choice to go with the textural contrast of leather for her boots instead of the more expected suede. The smooth leather plays beautifully against the knit fabric of the dress. The whole look is trademark Natalya and I adore it! She noted on her Instagram that she got to meet shoe designer Steve Madden that same day. How awesome is that? I hope she got a sneak peak at his new spring offerings! :) Next, she paired the Delaina top from Alice and Oivia (which we previously saw Maryse wear) with a black maxi skirt. Although it’s a more expected look, I’m enjoying the subtlety of Natalya’s pairing; it lets the beautiful floral print have the bulk of the attention. Her leather OTKs again completed the look. I can’t resist reviewing a couple of Nikki’s promo looks for her DWTS appearance. I mean, it’s not every day we get to look at a Gothic Romance style gown from a fashion perspective! It would take a very fancy occasion or a who-cares-its-awesome-I’m-wearing-it attitude to do a piece like this for real life, but just look at it! The crystal-emblazoned bodice, the glamorously gathered and ruched skirt, the rich cabernet color – this is one gorgeous piece of fashion! Who could resist the opportunity to feel like the heroine of a vintage novel, should the opportunity arise –even if it’s just for day? Hmm….Halloween, anyone? ;) Nikki naturally brought the full quotient of glamour to it by adding matching satin gloves and a statement crystal choker. My only wish is that she had gone with a more formal hairstyle – perhaps a messy up-do – to suit the fancy vibes of the fashion. Also, I need to point out the coolness of the sword as an accessory. How often to consider whether your weaponry matches your outfit? So much glam, so much opulence, so much fun! In a very different, but equally enjoyable genre is her Parisian look, a teaser for the Argentine Tango. I’m in heaven with the classic vibes of this look. The red and navy combo is an unbeatably chic pairing, especially with the hallmark French vibe of her striped top. Nikki played up the Parisian feel by knotting her red silk scarf at her neck and adding a beret. Red ankle strap flats (omg! Nikki in flats?! Has gravity stopped working?) complete the look. Despite being a promo concept, this outfit would translate easily and wonderfully to a street look. Her next outfit is a simple gem as well: she pairs gray skinny denim with an off-the-shoulder blouse, accented with ties at the shoulder. The ties create visual width at the shoulder, so if you’re someone who is what is sometimes called a “pear” shape, with curvy hips, a top like this is a flawless choice for you because of the visual balance it will create. It’s back to heels for this look, as Nikki adds simple black pumps. The ensemble gets a nice shot of color from her red bag. The one tweak I might make is to swap her ivory choker for one with less contrast – gray, black or even echoing the red of her purse would have pulled everything together in an appealing way. Her next outfit is all about the casual: a simple white tank paired with blue jeans and caramel leather OTK boots. The jeans are noteworthy because they’re by L’Agence: the brand know for lingerie has begun dabbling in other clothing as well. And I couldn’t help but take a moment to rave over the gorgeousness of those St Laurent boots. The sleek styling, the gorgeous leather, the warm, inviting color – it’s all just YUM. I definitely need to see those again! She joined Brie for Media Day in this velvet jumpsuit. I always find form-fitting pieces like this to be incredibly sensual and that effect is heightened here by the luxurious velvet fabric. The off-the-shoulder silhouette adds one more layer to the same cake, while pointy pumps complete the look with a dash of sophistication. There’s no denying this outfit is hot! Brie explored her bohemian leanings with a sheer-and-solid long-sleeved maxi dress. The 70’s-influenced look got a modern update from the off-shoulder silhouette. Perhaps my favorite part of the piece is this mystical deep peacock blue shade – it’s amazingly gorge! Brie gave the styling a fancier turn by adding a golden statement necklace. With her long and loose hair style, her ears are obscured, making the necklace a smart substitute for statement earrings. Renee graced mid-October’s Smackdown in this gray turtleneck sheath dress that has a distinctive air of 90’s minimalism about it. That vibe continues with her shoe choice, chunky-heeled ankle booties with a slight Western tinge. I like the whole, highly-edited concept of this look. I can totally envision it done with combat boots, as well. Renee added a wide cuff bracelet to give the look a bit more presence, which was very wise. I could even get behind something a little bolder, like this. I was surprised to see Sasha do this all-pink version of her gear because somehow, I’ve never associated her with pink. However, it looks completely awesome with her mulberry hair! Also, I’m so thrilled to see her still incorporating this jewel-encrusted jacket into her repertoire. Of all of her toppers – and she has some incredible ones – this is my very favorite! It’s bold, glamorous, opulent and packs plenty of attitude. On top of all that, it could translate super-easily and successfully to street fashion, which makes it extra special. Stephanie was out and about in classic style during WWE’s fall tour of the UK. She often chooses a breezy pairing of a sheath or-fit-and-flare dress with sandals or pumps and this look runs true to that trademark. I love the way the patterning on the dress enlivens the look and gives it much more visual interest, as well as the way it highlights the shape of the piece. Her black Tribute sandals round out this look. Her next take on the LBD incorporated this sheath with fab-tastic lace-up detailing. I love the way it is used to define the waist of the dress more clearly! And it’s so pretty, too :). I wish Steph had pulled her hair back so we could get even more of the effect, but the gist of it is clear. We don’t get to see her shoe choice, but she could easily have used the Tribute sandals again as they would work perfectly to finish this look. She completed a trio of black outfits with the single button, high-stance black blazer we’ve seen her use for a number of outings over the last couple years. I love seeing her re-use pieces, but keep them fresh! She’s paired the piece with skinny pants again and a simple black scoopneck underlayer, but hoop earrings and an outfit-making black choker keep the look from feeling stale. I wish she had done her half-ponytail just the tiniest bit higher. With the front of her look so streamlined, making the softness of the pony more visible would have look amazing. But I can live with this as is :). Summer (woops - I have to get used to calling her Danielle) embraced the 70’s completely with this October look. Before breaking it down, we should all take a moment to revel in the adorableness of the puppy she as posing with her. … That is nearly too cute to be allowed. I want one. Ok, I will now try to focus on fashion. Focusing in 3…2…1….one half…that puppy tho!...one quarter…ok. This look is 70’s perfection and as easy as it gets. Summer pairs a semi-sheer ivory blouse with flared sleeves and a wonderful tie-neck detail with flared denim in a classic medium wash. This color combination is one of my super faves; it never fails to be impactful and chic! She completes the look with decade-appropriate footwear: caramel sandals with massive platforms. The ease and joyful sincerity of her pose make this snap even more memorable! Also, there is a puppy :). As ridic as it is to be talking about Halloween in February, it was abso necessary to call out a couple of truly awesome costumes. First was Maryse’s rendition of Cinderella, done for her and Miz’s baby gender reveal party. She has done a number of great costumes over the years, but I don’t know if any of them have seemed as perfect a choice for her as this one. Not only is her gown flawless, her hair style is spot on, the choker is precisely right and looks amazing and she looks the part – I can completely imagine a prince taking one look at her beauty, falling madly in love and subsequently travelling all over the county with her lost shoe to find her again. Plus, that crown suits her so well :). While Maryse was slaying as a princess, another cool thing was happening: how awesome do you have to be to have Avril Lavigne dress up as you for Halloween? That. Is. Too. Much! I’ve been an Avril fan for years – used to play Let Go on repeat – and she nails this look! Maryse lent her the outfit (can you imagine wearing Maryse’s actual gear?! Thodubueybykhuy), but Avril carries it with such confidence that I can def envision her in a WWE ring if that whole music career thing somehow doesn’t work out ;). (#OhThePossibilities). Elsewhere, another WWE Divas was getting paid tribute as Noelle dressed up as Nikki. Slayage was going around last Oct 31, because she killed this, right down to her flaming red lipstick! Maybe Nikki should invite to her to be an honorary Bella sister? :) (#MorePossibilities)
