So, it's all over the map in fashion this time around - we have everything from trench coats to bikinis! Yayness :-)
First up is Jojo in a minimalist bright red dress. This piece is vibrant, feminine, classy and - with its' high-neck halter styling - spot on trend, making it exactly what we'd expect from a ring announcer. What really made this outfit pop, though, are those shoes!! Black ankle strap sandals are always going to rock my world, forever and ever and over again...but the mixed media on this pair is a stand-out detail that adds extra va-va-voom to this look! Nattie prepped for her Hawaiian trip in this leather-sleeved Burberry trench coat (thanks to FashionOfTheDivas for the ID). Paired with leggings and peeptoe boots, it makes her look like a super-spy! And honestly, who doesn't want to feel like a super-spy sometimes, right? Nattie's looks are always amazing; she contrasts simple elements so well...and she never forgets that spike of fierce! For those of you who loved and adored Taryn, she is around and chillin' with her bestie, Brooke! While T has re-focused her life, it still makes me happy to "touch base" with her and see that she's doing well! Don't you love her boldly striped bikini? It's so cute! I'm also loving the bright color of Brooke's coral swimsuit. There's just something fitting about gorgeous, saturated color on bright, scorching days! Speaking of which, I also love bright color for the gym; it gets me motivated! Summer paired this bright halter top with capri leggings (big fan of those, too!). Multi-colored sneakers finish this look and the way they blend the outfit is complex and interesting. The neon orange and purple don't match the candy pink in Summer's top, but they balance it out. The similar intensity of the colors and the unique harmony they comprise works quite nicely. Now, that's the way to bring some fire to your gym time!

So, maybe it isn't just love that can melt the heart of an ice queen. Maybe an act of true fashion can, too! Lana's newest photoshoot is certainly evidence in support of the theory, as she smolders in a pair of swimsuits. The first - and my fave! - is her metallic monokini by Kendall+Kylie (thanks to FashionOfTheDivas for the ID!). The black straps echo the concept of negative-space bodysuits rocked by ladies from Britney to the Bellas. This suit metamorphosizes the strappy look from glam to fierce via its incorporation of matte hardware, and makes me think of a Bond film villainess ...dangerous, but oh so seductive! Lana's next suit lets her wild child side (who knew she had one of those?!) come out, as she cavorts in a leopard print bikini with pale aqua piping. Amazingly, the print - as bold as it is - comes off much softer than the metallic, partly due to the effect of the contrasting blue and partly due to the string silhouette, which is delicate and flirty after the bold statement of the monokini. Lana's bronzed make-up palette is flat out gorgeous! And her tousled hair is just right for carefree poolside hours. She rocks the poses, bringing vivacity, sultriness and even an endearing girl-next-door vibe to her snaps - a massive turn-about for the her usually cool-as-a-cucumber-on-ice self. She also somehow contrives to pose on the diving board like a model on a catwalk, giving new meaning to the idea that life is a daily fashion show. Brava! The settings are crave-worthy, ranging from sun-baked-hued patios to verdant shrubbery to a breathtaking pool. That last is the scene of one of my favorite shots - a perfectly-timed snap of Lana's fabulous Aldo Drosa sandals disappearing into the sparkling water. So, yes...she was on the diving board...and then there was this snap. You do the math ;) I think I've just added "swimming in stilettos" to my Things Only Cray Cray Fashionistas Must-Do List. Join me? ;)
If you were craving a little Barbie Blank in your life, we got ya covered! She was featured recently in Most Fitness magazine's 15th issue, looking resplendent in black. She has literally the hottest workout gear I've ever seen, including a slashed bodysuit (previewed here), and a cutout one-piece paired with sheer sweatpants, as well as the sheer-striped inset halter top and the crop-top and leggings coord set above. The lace-up detail on her crop top takes it into crave-worthy territory. You could def skip the workout and wear this with jeans or a pencil skirt, as well as with the coordinating leggings. I love how the cuffs at the leggings match the side detail of the top so it's clear that it's a set! I'm also a huge fan of Barbie's mirrored metallic pumps and the way they enhance the silver flash of the grommets in her clothing. Just....wtdefbkgyfsiysiwzowjd. The lighting in the 'shoot was kept very cool and the settings are icy clean and industrial, creating a futuristic fierceness reminiscent of a Joseph Kahn video. So amazing! See more from the 'shoot here. (Psssst.... Eva Marie was featured in issue 14, so check that out too.) Black monochrome seemed to be high on Barbie's style radar this summer, as she also promoted WAGS in a smoldering dark look. This one utilized a chic suit, including a cropped blazer and high-waisted slim pants paired with a lace brassiere. Hot d**n. She accessorized with a pretty scalloped choker and black patent leather pointy toe pumps.
We have the very great pleasure of getting to see some of Lilian's style this FashionHap - an event always worth the wait! She looked sweet and summery in this spaghetti-strap sundress in oh so classic navy. The buckle details at the sides give this piece a special twist...and additional versatility! Lilian's nude pumps make this look lighthearted, it could easily swing to the tough side of chic when paired with fierce black booties (and maybe a moto jacket ;)). Meanwhile, Jojo gets her bright on in this mesmerizing shade of neon melon! This is just the kind of color I gravitate to in the summer. Even though it's daring and attention-getting, it flatters both blondes and brunettes, so don't be shy about trying it out :) Jojo brings out the warm-weather vibe by accenting it with a white floral necklace and white ankle-strap pumps. The florals bring a wonderful softness to the edgy cutouts on the dress for a fab interplay between mod and femme. As a devoted fan of Lana's style, I am very unhappy to have to admit that this dress isn't my favorite of her choices. Somehow, it gives me nightgown vibes, likely a combination of the curved-up-at-the-side hemline, the spaghetti straps, the bodycon style and the print. Two, or even three, of those elements this look could have survived...just not all four together. There are shiny spots too, though! One is her super cute high pony - I just adore this look! Second is her shhooooooooooeeeessss *heart eyes*. These blush strappy sandals are killer and I want to see them again with another outfit! And again! And again! And ag...*Brie is clonked on the head with a rubber penguin and subsides* Now, Lana's next look -from MITB- is back to her usual stellar form. The lace bustier paired with her black sailor-style pencil skirt and topped with a cropped leather jacket is a trademark Lana look, which she rocks. But what reeeeeeeaaallly makes it stand out is her addition of a crystal choker and earrings. They're a touch 90's, a touch right now and a massive lot of glam. Slay me! (Can I get some crystal-studded heels with that, please? :)) It was a reprise of her Raw look, where she debuted a slim, black leather choker instead of the crystal. The look was considerably less glam...but still fabulous! Her next Raw look was this double breasted dress with contrasting trim. The different fabrics add interest to this sheath and I'm really enjoying seeing her experiment with something other than her pencil skirt sets, but which still retains that pristine, icy, temptation that characterizes Lana's style.
Are you feeling floral? Maybe you love femme floral, but not fussy floral? For sure :) Renee lightened up her dark, edgy look by topping it with this super fun floral bomber jacket (by Zara, incidentally. They have a couple other pretty ones here, including a different floral pattern and a couple gorge lace options). The basic idea is classic Renee: a little bit tough, a little bit tender. Start with a black tank or cami. A simple, basic version will do. Pair with black leather leggings. Alternatively, grab a pair of skinny jeans, or biker-influenced ponte pants ;). (Note: if you're going the skinny jeans route and you own a bustier, feel free to use that as your top for a bit of extra edge. A stud-accented or faux leather top will have that effect as well). Stay black-on-black for your main pieces for the chic, mysterious background and contrast it will provide to the softer floral. Next, toss your bomber over the top. Finish with sleek, black pointy toe pumps or fierce, strappy black sandals (I'm picturing the bootie type ;)). And now I bet I know what you're thinking...because I'm psychic. Actually, no...I'm just living in the same humidity you are, with the curly hair to prove it. When it's too warm for a jacket, what's a stylish girl to do? Go without it, of course! And, yes, you can still do the floral thing. Twist a floral scarf at your neck for that floral touch. I prefer silk for it's light weight and flowy texture, but cotton voile or a similar translucent fabric will do beautifully. A low knot, or a simple "U" placement will be the coolest (temperature-wise ;) ) and least constricting, but feel free to rock whatever placement floats your ducks. My personal fave is encircling my neck with on tail in front and one tail in back...with a (glamorous, glittering, fabulous) brooch pinned around (instead of through) the fabric at the crossing. If you just can't bear the thought of wrapping up your neck in this heat, wear the scarf knotted at your waist or woven through your belt loops, depending on whether you prefer to tuck your top in or leave it out (and on whether your pants have belt loops. Tricky point there :)). Carry the color through your outfit by completing the look with colored shoes that match or are similar to one of the shades in the scarf. Flats are flawless, heels are happiness come alive...so do you, lovelies! I hope this inspires you to try a bit of floral-ness sometime soon! Happy styling :)
Oh yes....we're going here, loves! This fabulous look from Alicia deserves to be broken down, borrowed and raved over...and we're just the fashionistas to do it :). Since this look is daring - perhaps too daring for those of us not followed by cameras 24/7 and besieged for autographs - a couple of more demure options are included as well. First up: the straight up Foxy version! Start with a glamorous mini dress with a flared shape. Sequins are stellar, tulle is terrific and both are the best yet. Note: this can be done with a tank and tulle skirt, if that pairing lends itself more effectively to your wardrobe. Next, grab your favorite sports team's tee and cut it (ok, maybe your not-so-favorite sports team's tee :)...alternatives include your ex's favorite sports team's tee (slice and dice, baby! ;). Yes, it's cathartic. Don't ask me how I know), your school's sports team's tee, any random sports team's tee that has a color in it you kind of like 'cuz you don't give a golf club about sports). Put the waist where you like it best: a slight empire style a la Foxy, your natural waist or somewhere in between. Alt'ly, tie the tee to your chosen length instead of cutting. Finish with sexy, vintage-tinged t-straps in black leather or suede and a baseball cap (team logo optional). Second up: you're in love with this look, but your choices of places to wear a sequin/tulle/both dress range from none to negative none. You need to subtle it up a smidge. Can do. Switch out the dress for a denim midi skirt. The midi length keeps the chic vibe of Foxy's design, but gives the overall look a more laidback feel. Bonus: denim skirts are the rage rn. As with Foxy's look, finish with t-straps. Baseball cap optional. Still not your cup of tea? Or cup of tee? Not fierce enough? K. Swap the dress for a pleated leather mini skirt. If you don't have five or six leather minis just bouncing up and down on your bed like cute puppies waiting to be picked (You don't? Really? ..yeah, me neither :)), any clean-lined minimalist skirt with a flared shape and a semi-formal vibe will work. So, if you've got a weighty skater or scuba skirt, a pleated mini in anything from satin to twill, a cotton A-line, or a fluted skirt, grab it and go for this! Re: the sports team tee and the cut it/knot debate, see above and pick your passion. Finish this version with polished sneakers to complete the sporty athleisure vibe. Next time you're feeling foxy, this could be your outfit of the day! I hope you're inspired to give it a whirl. XOs!
