Were you loving Maria's Paris outfits? Totally on fire and inspired, like I was? And ready to add a little Parisian flair to your look? My hand is up! I've been obsessed with the concept ever since I saw her photo-tsunami. Parisian fashion is the last word in chic! Sound daunting? Fear not, oh Fierce Ones! It's easier than you imagine to bring the vibe of the French capital to your style. And we're going to have a little tete-a-tete about just how its done. So put on a little Edith Piaf, pour yourself a glass of champagne (ok, that one's optional), ensconce yourself in your most sophisticated chair (no prob if that's a bean bag chair; we've all been there!) and envision yourself strolling down the Rue de la Paix, climbing the white staircase to Sacre Coeur or waving to the passengers on a boat drifting down the Seine. Like Dorothy with her ruby stilettos, fashion can take you there. So click your heels three times, loves...

A triumvirate of divas paid tribute to the Big Apple in a SummerSlam-week photoshoot (yaaay, new shoots!) and I couldn't resist a little #tbt in the title ;) ...Take a moment and hearken back to the days of Lita, Stacy, and Trish killin' it in NYC. Rapturous siiiiiiiigh. ...Ok aaaaand...moving on to some superstars killin' it in NYC right about now.
Lana kicks things off with a metallic golden mini dress. Between the unabashedly confident color and the strong shoulder silhouette, this piece has a distinctively 80's feel to it. The wide waist belt helps it still feel feminine, while Lana's choice to leave the look mainly unadorned (outside of gold hoop earrings (#That80sThingAgain :)) and a hint of brassiere showing at the neckline) helps it to not fall victim to that decade's overblown vibe. Lana also gives the look a modern spin via her gorgeous braids and fierce lace-up heels. I like her choice of white stilettos over black; they feel lighter and more summery, but still have an attitude! As usual, Lana slays the poses. She rocks "socialite", "pop star" and "temptress" as if she was born to do so. Her pinky-peachy-nude make-up palette enhances her natural beauty, without getting in the way of her portrayals. I also applaud the way she used the background in her snaps. She manages to capture the feel of the city, while still finding spaces visually quiet enough to allow her styling to shine. I came across this snap of Summer on her Insta and went mad over her jacket: gorgeous ivory with a hot-as-Hades low stance AND...wait for it.... black, shimmering lapels! Omg #WantIt ...And immediately started building an outfit around it. The black lapels aren't strictly necessary, of course, so I swapped over to a more accessible to an unembellished ivory blazer. Both boyfriend and cropped styles work nicely. Next, the crucial question: what would Summer have paired with this delightful piece? It's entirely likely she had slim tuxedo pants, or cut-to-perfection silk wide-leg trousers. However, I'm a massive fan of dressing down formal blazers by matching them with less formal pieces, so that's what I envisioned here. For warm and transitional weather, think shorts on the bottom. I love using laidback blue instead of the more expected black bottoms/black+white look. Blue heightens the contrast between dressed to kill and dressed to chill. If it's too nippy for shorts, slim blue denim looks casual and on point. Of course, you could be even less conventional and still do the shorts...just add tights underneath for extra warmth. I also love the idea of black leggings paired with the boyfriend blazer. Summer left the jacket all on it's own, which looks amazing in certain situations - photoshoots, night events - but for this more relaxed daytime look, I'd go with a bandeau beneath (bustiers, cami's and pretty much any curve-kissing black tee (or turtleneck once the weather really cools off) are alternatives). Summer went for understatement with her baubletry, choosing the slimmest of lariats to accentuate the long, lean line of the jacket and it's looks fanastic with a low-stance blazer like this. If you don't have a lariat, a long (24" or above) chain can be looped through itself to create the same effect. Disclosure: I actually put this together almost a month ago, hence the inclusion of espadrilles as a shoe option; save that one for next summer :). (Espadrilles should hibernate after Labor Day, as should cork). The cute pointy toe pumps definitely work, though, as would ankle or OTK boots. I hope this inspires you to pop a blazer over your denim some time soon ;) Happy styling, loves!
Oh and....Summer's been attending New York Fashion Week this week, so I'll be reviewing all her looks in a FashionHap shortly ;) When WWE introduces a new lady into our lives, I always feel like it's a blind date. I want to know who she is, what her personality is like and - most especially - what her taste in fashion is! :) I always get a thrill when a newbie with some style chops (or chops-to-be) pops up on our radar and Noelle is intriguing in that regard. Firstly, as you may guess from her last name and her presence on the WWE Network's Holy Foley show, she is the daughter of Mick Foley. Heritage aside, her blonde beauty and curvelicious figure make her seem like WWE's answer to Iggy Azalea. A quick survey of photos reveals a love of sneakers we haven't seen since AJ Lee graced our Wrestling Nation. Nice! She seems to pair them with pretty much everything, from workout wear (naturally) to shorts+tank combos (but of course) to cute cropped top+skirt sets (interesting, in a very good way). Additionally, she appears to have a nice command of evening attire, as evidenced by this sequin-embellished black gown at a recent event. And she's not afraid to cue up some 90's retro and rep her Calvins loud and proud. Fresh, fun and slightly quirky? Works for me. Welcome to the Land of Fierce, Noelle! Can't wait to see more of your style :)
First of all, can we just a take a moment to appreciate how unbelievably gorgeous this photo of Brooke and her new baby boy is? Her baby looks so adorably sweet...complete and total daaaawwwwwws. And Brooke looks beyond beautiful; she looks angelic! I'm so happy for her #WarmFuzzies.
Second of all, we seem to be getting some summer-on-blink-mode weather around here- it's fall, no wait, it's summer, no wait... - so if you're getting that as well, now is a good time to talk about some warm-into-not-so-warm looks. I love this pic of Summer doing some R & R in her paisley slipdress and sandals. Dressing down a more formal dress by pairing it with flats is an amazing look, and it works just as well with prints as with solids. Summer's thong (dear Autocorrect, Summer is wearing a "thong" sandal, not a "thing") has a touch of embellishment for an extra texture, which I'm definitely on board with. But no probs if you don't have an embellished pair; go for plain - they'll give you a fab, cool-girl vibe just as well. Brooke's gorgeous dress is a dark floral print, which is a super hot trend for fall. Additionally, this trapeze-style is an amazing choice. The flowy fabric is comfortable (air flow, ya know ;)) and just kisses the body here and there, making it sexy, but also incredibly chic. It's a silhouette that's fantastic for the slim and the curvy alike. We don't get to see Brooke's shoe choice, but I'm imagining pretty flat sandals that bring in an extra pop of color. I'm a massive fan of how Brooke made this ensemble thoroughly of-the-moment by adding a leather+metal choker as an accessory. Definitely consider reprising that look! Don't shy away from colored velvet as a possible material, either; it's mad trendy and a fab way to work with the colors in the print. Colored leather or lace would work nicely as well. Both these looks would transition quite easily to fall (#Bonus ..don't you just looooove pieces that can be styled in multiple ways?!). Throw a jacket over the top (think cropped denim over Summer's paisley frock and a military jacket over Brooke's floral dress. Alternatively, a classic leather biker jacket would add a nice touch of attitude to either piece). And swap the sandals for ankle booties: tan suede for Summer's look or black leather - perhaps with a sprinkling of studs - for Brooke's. Happy styling, loves! Need a shot of fierce, loves? Look no further than Maryse (naturally ;)). This diamond-printed mockneck dress lets the shine loose via the totally on-trend metallic gold in the pattern. While I'm completely in for the straight-up statement of her dress, it's taken to another level by those ankle-cuff sandals! Oh. My. Gaga. Do I love those! Not only does the leather and the interject some fabulous attitude into the outfit, but also the gorgeous, rounded cut of the vamp is pretty much everything. Her bold eyes and sleek pony only enhance the don't-mess-with-me glamour.
I'm also loving Brie's outfit - this black+white printed crop top and wrap maxi skirt set, which she wore to a Guns N’ Roses concert (OMG ..sosososososososo jealous! I may be permanently green! …guess that means I’ll can be a make-up-free Wicked Witch of The West for Halloween tho #SilverLining). Brie’s jewelry – a layered silver necklace and a statement bracelet – really brings panache to this look. Speaking of panache, how about Nikki’s outfit, worn at the same concert? She embraced the edgy, rock n' roll spirit of the headliners, with this daring black piece(s?). It's not quite possible to tell if this is a cutout romper, or bodysuit+shorts combo, but either way, it is HOT. The extra dimension created by the sheer overlay skirt is amazing, especially with the shark-tooth-esque details at the edge. Fierce black cutout booties are a flawless finish to this ensemble. Nikki nailed the hedonistic, rebellious aura of the band with this outfit; if you're gonna go there with a look, this is the kind of event to do it at, and this is how it's done. From all black to pattern mixing and colors: Summer's look pairs an edged Rag & Bone blouse with embroidered cotton shorts (the Sherri by Alice and Olivia). Stripes and florals are a fantastic way to mix prints; the straightforward linearity of the shorts complements the colorful swirl of the embroidery wonderfully. Set against this cerulean wall, the colors really pop! The complexity of the mixed colors and patterns is modern and sophisticated and Summer works it with easy grace. Natalya can always slay an LBD...in fact, I dare anyone to do it better. Equally well, perhaps. but better = no. This mockneck piece from BCBG is deviod of any embellishment whatsoever...and it's still jaw-dropping due to the fact that it hugs every curve. Natalya delievrs the coup de grace by completing the look with these undeniably fantasmic Jules sandals from Tory Burch. Black suede minimalist strappy sandal with a magnolia flower applique at the heel? Hello, obsession! As a lover of statement rings, I couldn't help but notice when Brie wore this incredibe stalactite ring from Love Tatum in her recent Pacific San Diego photoshoot. The massive size, the organic shape and the funky texture make this ring quite fabulous! I love the laid-back feel of the piece. It's a perfect complement to boho, rocker and city cool-girl looks. Shopping note: Brie's piece looks to be in the 2" x 1" size range, giving it mammoth presence. Anything in the 1" or above category will be authoritatively bold. If you need this exact one (bearing in mind that natural stones vary in size, shape and color), it's available at lovetatum.com. If you're looking for something similar in a little less wallet-thinning price range, these drusy (also spelled 'druzy') quartz pieces match the texture and hint of sparkle and capture that chill, slightly sparkly, "just quarried" vibe:
