The Big Dub celebrated Valentine's Day with a guazy, dreamy shoot which was a major departure in feel from what we've been mainly seeing. The vintage, hazy mood of this set was intriguing and very appropriate to the day. I always love seeing the ladies have a chance to stretch and do different things, so this was a huge win on that front!
Paige was one of my favs from the shoot because she put her own spin on this girly-feeling background. The tipped-over chair and spilled flowers injected a rock n' roll after-show party attitude, which was helped alog by Paige's fashion choices. A tulle skirt, a tied-high tee, a leopard-lined leather jacket, combat boots: this is girly-gone-kicka$$! I've never been a fan of fishnets, but they work here. Their trashtastic vibe is balanced out but the ultra-femininity of the tulle skirt, which is pretty much how this whole look plays out. There's a great balance of edgy and sweet which makes the whole styling feel right. PS I love how her taupe lip works here - the muted color plays really well against this background. I also hope Paige doesn't stay paused on this Kylie Jenner look for ages :) Renee has one of the most interesting outfit choices of the group. Her gray cropped sweater has a deconstructed mod feel to it, which fits right in. She paired it with this vintage-y-feeling world traveler-ish print skirt that brings in all these yellow and blue shades that match nothing else. It works in because all the tones are muted, but it caught my eye as a whimsical choice that was surprising in the way in which it fit in. Given that offbeat piece, I might have gone with more understated shoes. But not bold Renee! She finished her look with strong, metallic chunky-heeled platforms. Where a lot of the ladies' pics work because of how they fit into the backdrop, Renee's works because of how she pops off of it. I abso adore her tassel necklace! And I also adore her poses. She completely rocked every one of them, capturing that romantic, graceful femininity that this set seemed to be calling for. From that perspective, her set is one of my top two. PS if you can't get enough of Renee's humor and quirky commentary, she now has her own blog! Check it out at prettyfunnyblonde.com. (I think someday she & I need to have a convo about tees ;) ) When Eden teased this shoot on Instagram, she made reference to not usually being a fit-and-flare girl, but her clean, classic sense of style comes shining through nonetheless. Her super-cute dress is one of the simplest choices displayed in this shoot. Like so many of her choices, a few accessory changes would make it a great option for dozens of occasions. She's accented it with a chic pearl torsade and a fab laced waist belt, which makes this both flirty and innocent at the same time, like a girl-next-door playing pin-up. She keeps that going with softly come-hither poses, even as she adds a touch of modern magic with glittered platform pumps. The whole look is shopable via the links on her insta. You're on your own for come-hither looks ;)

In honor of Valentine's Day and in celebration of all things love-related -loving your bf, loving your bff, loving yourself, loving your pets, loving the world at large, loving fashion- we'll be doing a couple of romance-leaning Inspiration Boards to get you in the mood if you're heading out tonight to party with any of the above :). Pink and gray is an incredible, soft combination that has a definite, feminine, dreamy feel to it. It's gorgeous and chic and, if Paige is your fashion goddess, you probably feel the need, as she does, to toughen things up just a bit. I ttly hear that! Paige's cute tee+tulle skirt combo is perfect for warmer climes, but if you're trying to pull this look off in say..oh...25 degree weather, you're going to want a few more layers. Enter the sweatshirt (in my case, layered over an Icebreaker merino wool top). Something with a message, or a graphic is perfectly funky and acceptable. You can go with an unembellished one as well. The important thing here is color: it should be pink, gray, a combo of the two, or a warm neutral (ivory or taupe). Next, you need a femme skirt. I've gone with lace here, but tulle will do nicely, as will anything with sheer, frothy layers or a scalloped hem. Pick your color based on your sweatshirt options so you have a combo of gray and pink. You can swap in another neutral for one or the other if you need to. Now, it's time for the tough stuff...enough of this icky sweetness! Lol. Add heeled biker boots (anything with a zipper will work. Lug soles rough things up even more) and a motorcycle jacket. I've gone with a gray suede version here, but if your closet is a bit short on gray suede, consider black denim jacket or a gray military jacket instead. Paige has a hint of leopard showing via the lining of her jacket so I added some ferociousness with a leopard print scarf. Give that a try if animal is your thing. Or, try a studded scarf. You can also leave the scarves at home and amp things up with a studded ring or leather bracelets. Happy Styling! #LoveFashion
The 'E's latest gallery showcases the "photos that weren't". Yeah, it's the re-hash type of thing I generally make vaguely snarky remarks about due to disappointment that it isn't a new 'shoot. But this one manages to be not-so-standard. It collects outtakes, backstage shots and unused pics and most of them are well worth a look. A number of them are downright amusing, from Lana putting a graceful stiletto right through the background (ooopsie :)) to Renee's adorable silliness to Sasha showing us just how boss a hot keister is ;). There are also jaw-dropper moments, typified by Charlotte's over-the-top athleticism. A bridge on three appendages? Held long and steady enough for a good shot? C'mon! That's just plain...yeah, yeah I know I'm supposed to "wooooo" here, but really I can't help saying "dayyyyuuum" :) Nice one, Char! For a couple more nice ones, head on over to wwe.com and check out the gallery!...Actually, two galleries:)
OMG do we have a FashionHap for you! Get out your beach towel and prepare for some drool-worthiness. We kick off with some Summer killage and then...well, if you're a shoewhore, this Total Divas promo pic is your Richard Gere.
This snap of Summer is jaw-droppingly chic. You really can't get more classic than an LBD and this one makes timelessness modern, with its elbow sleeves, sweetheart neckline and fit-and-flare silhouette. A hint of décolleté, a classic red lip and voila: perfection. Finish it off with a black pointy-toe pump and it's style heaven. I unconditionally love this look! LOVE. Making the shot all the more impressive is the beautiful background art and the simple, but impact-making red chair. Oh yes, AND her demurely sensual and ladylike pose...gorgeous! Can this be a photoshoot, pleeeeeeeeease? :) The Divas were celebrating their holidays in a cozy, rural establishment, by the looks of this shoot. One of the things that immediately made me smile when I saw this is that it bears a striking similarity to a shoot idea we had proposed last fall on Diva-Fierce.com (see below). Cool, huh? I love it when our ideas get utilized...even if it's only by happenstance :)
Renee's look is one of my favorites. Her textured, cropped sweater is so cute and feminine, and I love the combination of pink with gray. Her striped leggings keep things super-cozy, while she adds more warmth and texture with that completely awesome, furry scarf. I'm also a fan of her fun and functional shearling-lined ankle boots! I might have been tempted to go with black instead of camel, but the earth-tone works well. Her poses are all playful and relaxed, and the whole shoot gels beautifully! So, on the last day of December, I am finishing up the December Fashion Happenings. I guess you could call this "Brie being on time". Make a note of the day; it will prob never happen again :). But here's the thing: I really really want to finish this because I have this new thing I want to post for you :). SO ...let's fashion, shall we?
Eden was eye-catching in this knit bodycon dress in a fabulous shade of pine green. For many years, I've been all about the lime, kiwi and yellow-green tones (and I still love them!), but lately, I've been adoring these deep, mysterious jewel tone greens again. The turtleneck styling of this dress gives it a fun retro-mod flavor. The only thing that bothers me a smidge about this dress is that its so thin that it allows the outline of her undergarments to show through. This is a pet peeve of mine, so I am ranting :)...yes, the rage is real ;). I def think it's time for thicker fabric to be used in ladies' garments again. Slightly heavier fabric drapes instead of clings, does not show one's undergarments and allows the full sultriness of one's figure to shine. Naturally, I have no rantings whatever regarding Eden's crystal statement earrings; they are divine! We haven't seen Eva Marie around diva-fierce for awhile, but this plaid cutout dress is a winner! This is how holiday is done, sans sparkle! The plaid is polished, classy and fun. We don't get a full shot of her shoes, but it looks like she paired it with pointy-toe pumps, which would be my choice as well. Great look, girl! Paige mostly gives us grunge, but lest we forget she can dress things up too, she throws us a seasonal change-up with this sequined bustier. I LOVE that! There are soooo many applications for this kind of piece - under a jacket, over a pencil skirt or, as Paige has done, above slim dress pants. There's a youthful classicism to this pairing that I find really alluring. You can rarely go wrong by finishing an outfit with chic black pumps and they work beautifully here. Next up is Nikki with a more laidback variation of Brie's recent neutrals+colored-shoes look and I love it just as much this time around. Nikki tops leather leggings with a textural fur vest in silver-white and then adds a dramatic pop with these red pumps. In one word: fabulous! PS I'm a massive fan of her pulled-together, polished bun! #MorePlease Sultry caroms into fierce with this pairing from Lana: a cherry bustier paired with high-waisted leggings and a ferocious air of strappy sandals. I can't help but think this is something Marilyn would be seen in if she were out and about today. Perhaps Lana will top it off with one of her fantastic, fuzzy (and warm!) fur jackets :)...something else I think Marilyn would be on board with! It's that most wonderful time of year again: time for our own special party called the Silver Snap Awards :) We've picked out the Divas and Knockout who have thrilled and chilled us with their fabulous photos throughout the year. Now, it's your turn to pick The ONE...the most flawless, most amazing, most life-changing set of snaps...and give the Diva and Knockout who created it the present of receiving the Silver Snap Award as the best photoshoot of 2015. Are you ready? Without further ado, we're super-excited to present to you the 2015 Silver Snap nominees...
